Hi Everyone, My family and I are always camping at the fort, but it will be our first Halloween and we are so excited. Big question? How much candy should I bring for the little goblins? I know that I will need some for the gold cart parade, but I have no idea as to how many little ones actually come by. Has anyone been to the fort on Halloween over the years and had a head count? I want to bring enough goodies. Someone at the office told me that they send guests from the hotels???
Help please, we arrive this Wednesday, thanks, Joann

LOTS!!! Last year we literally had about 30-40 pounds of candy and almost ran out. I thought I was going to have to give some of my daughter's candy away. ;)

Said my hubby, I guess, we better head over to Publix for their Bogo! :)
Thanks so much for the tip, see you there!

just do like my buddy does, and take all the starlight mints and the like from restaurants all year, and use those.

I never thought of doing that. Those mints would never last at our house with the grand children. We have little bags filled with treats and spider rings. We asked for the 1700 loop, hoping to get it. Is Board Walk just for the 31st or do they have plans also for the 30th?

My bag is so huge and heavy..... full of candy, all ready to go. Cannot wait to leave tomorrow and set up. Of course it is raining outside at the moment, but is promises to be clear on Saturday. Don't forget to stop by and see us, we will have a Mickey lamp post with a green mask! Joann & Don from Tampa

never been to the fort for halloween but we were at the Port Huron Michigan KOA 2 weekends for their halloween weekend. They had trick or treating from 3-5pm and at about 40 mins in I had well over 400 kids. I had bought tons of candy but still ran out.... Felt sad about that!! :guilty:

went out and bought two more Wonka candy bags last night, so fearful to run out of candy.
