Yes he is Nancy....thanks to his BIG mouth it is that I am going ALONE and so that there's no turning back I bought my ticket this morning....now I just need a ride from the airport to the hotel...rental car from Sanford to the Swan!!

mskanga - I may be joining you in the "alone" department. My DH is on the fence - "Do you think we can leave the kids that long (17.9 and 15.5 at that time)? "It's the money" "I'll feel like a 5th wheel", etc.

This was supposed to be our "get away week" for the first time in over 18 years! I'm thinking of leaving him at home with a wheel of cheese to go along with his whine, and go have some fun!

His idea of a "fun vacation" is paddling his butt off and sleeping on a rock in northern Ontario. I passed that a long time ago!

Mickey Nut, my dh tried to give me the guilt trip about the kids and how upset they will be, their ages are 5 and 9 but I don't care, it's 4 days and I need them to regain my sanity besides that they need to "miss me" and not take me so much for granted!;)

You wanna talk about guilt trips? DD Sarah still hasn't stopped reminding me that I missed her 12th birthday so that I could attend DIScon 2001. Thank goodness DIScon 2002 is just enough later that I won't miss her 13th. :)

A lot of us solo Mom's at DIS CON!!!! I don't feel guilty at all!!

Every time I go away I always have the girls with me and Dad gets to stay home by himself...so now it's my turn to have some time to myself!!!NOT that I'll be alone at any time..but no kids...I might almost feel single (Yeah right) Diet starts right after Barb's picnic.

I haven't told my youngest two that I'm going yet. Hopefully the February trip to Disneyland will convince them not to be too upset with me for leaving them behind.

I know I have another 'partial Mr. Mom' myself. :rolleyes: DS was mad about my solo trip but, when he heard he could stay with his Dad or my parents, all was well! DD was sad but, I promised to bring her video to watch ON her BD, 12/8. Now I just have to make good on the promise! :rolleyes:
