Son has himself in Stitches--not the character kind either!

2 yo ds just got 10 stitches over his eye this morning..:scared1:...We leave for Disney on Monday :yay: d he will have to have them out while we are there. Anyone have any experience with this....is there an urgent care facility/walk in clinic near by? I would love to be able to make an appt. so we don't waste alot of time in the waiting room. :confused3 Any help appreciated! Thx

We had a trip planned when I was going to have my stiches out and the doctor told me they could wait a few days till I got back. This may be the case, but on the fac it may scare ( I'm not a doctor so I don't know). I would call his primary doctor and ask, if you have not done so already. I hope a local can direct you to a clinic in the area if you have to have them removed while on your trip. I hope you have a great time either way.

I don't know for certain, but there may be the possibility that the first aid station nurses might be able to remove them. I would ask your Dr for a suture removal kit to take with you. This way you can just ask the nurse to do it and have the correct equipment.

There is a hospital in Celebration, but I don't know of any ready cares or any place else.

If it is well up on the eyebroe your doctor may just tell you to take them out or just wait till your return.
