:cheer2:

Hi Im a brand new member and have just got back from checking out the Wedding Pavillion! WOW absolutely gorgeous!

My fiance Scott and I are from Scotland and we are planning on having our wedding with Disney in 2011. We have chose the Wedding Pavillion for our ceremony then our reception in The Living Seas Epcot followed by a dessert party at the united kingdom terrace to watch the fireworks.

We are still deciding between May or September, can anyone give advice?

We like September as the parks are nice and quiet and weather is lovely but we have a lot of family members joining us with young kids and my grandmother is in her 80s so it may be a little to hot in september for them. I like the idea of May as it is closer! but im not sure how busy the parks are at that time of year and I dont want to drag my whole family overseas to find it too busy.

Looking forward to hearing anyones feedback

Thanks :lovestruc

I'm not sure about May, but I've been there in late April, which is why that's when we're getting married. The weather's perfect (I know we had at least one 90degree pool day) and it's not that busy.

I think it's VERY hot in May and quite crowded. Less crowded in Sept and a bit cooler. However, I have friends who JUST got back and they say it was STILL very hot. I'd vote Sept.;)

I have only been in september, but we are planning our wedding there for late april/early may as i think the weather is better less chance of rain and not so humid plus once easter is over the crowds are pretty low from what i've heard.
Congratulations on the wedding planning :)

We have been in September twice and it has been unbearably hot...not sure May is much better but definitely less rain in September!

We have gone the last 2 Septembers and our wedding was May 1.

It was definitely hotter on both Septemeber trips. It was still hot in May, but not as much...

The parks were pretty quiet on the wedding trip, although some lines than 20 mins. on some days. My mom is 84 and she did ok in May. We just gave her a water bottle strap and made sure she drank. (Even though she kept arguing that she is not a "water drinker"):rotfl:
She was only there on one full day though besides the wedding day....

I vote for May (or even late April would be better)

I'd vote for September...late September if you can do it! It might be hot, but it will be worth it to have the parks be less crowded.

My older relatives that came out spent the warmest part of the day in the hotel, usually, and then went out to the parks at night for dinner and the extended magic hours. Since you're coming from overseas, everyone's internal clock is going to be a little screwy, anyway, so I bet you they'll be staying up late!

We were at Disney in on May 3 to 9th and again the 1st weekend right after labor day in September. The trip in May was fine, not too crowded however I have to say the trip in September was great as it was the weekend right after all the kids had to go back to school so the parks were not busy at all. However as the weather changes very frequently, it is hard to say which month is better than the other.
