I haven't seen the dollar this good for...well, it's been so long I just can't remember!! LOL Anyhow, my sisters and I are heading to WDW in early Dec. 2010. How far ahead can I book the resort and tickets?

Down to .94 now. Still better than .68c, but still it took 2 cents drop in one day.

You can book the resort now if you want. I believe you would only be required to pay a deposit though, rather than the full deal. Tickets can be purchased anytime if, say, you purchase through Undercover Tourist. The tickets aren't activated until the first day of use, however far in the future that is.
Another alternative would be to open a US-funds account through your local bank. That way, you could convert Cdn to US now, but still have it available if you needed it for some emergency that might come along!

You need to pay a $200 deposit to secure your reservation the balance would be due 45 days before your trip.
We just opened up a US dollar account and applied for a US dollar Visa. Hopefully the dollar goes back up and when it does we'll transfer enough to cover the upcoming trip. This will secure the better exchange rate as well as elliminate the 2.5% surcharge the credit cards charge for US purchases.

I'm curious what happens if someone cancels at 45 days out or earlier. Do they get their $200 deposit back? I know there is a $100 fee if it is betwee 6-44 days before check-in, but what about 45 or earlier? Anyone know?
I'd probably not book right away as it's super early, unless you are getting some super big savings to book now. However, that is your choice if you're worried about not getting the resort you want.
If I were in your position, I'd start buying US $$$.
