I need some advice. I have a friend who purchased MVMCP tickets for the same day I was planning to go. She got pregnant, however, and cannot go. She wants to sell the tickets so me, for a good price obviously, but I was wondering if there was any problems I can expect? I hate to buy them and be stuck with them. Anyone have any experience doing this?

As a second option, if the tickets dont work out, I was considering doing a sleigh ride or wagon ride at Fort Wilderness so we could check out the decorated campsites. Can I schedule this in advance or is it first come first served?

Thanks in advance!

Are they in her name? If she bought them directly from Disney I think they include a name already pre printed on them. I doubt they will ask for ID though

Good point, I didnt think about the names... My luck, they would ask. Not to mention, I would have to buy one full price because she has 3 and I need 4.

Ours do not have names on them, and they didn't ask for any form of ID last year, just scanned the ticket and gave a us our armbands. I don't think you would have a problem. I know that they written policy is that they are non transferrable and I guess they could choose to inforce that, but they would have to ask for ID b/c there is no fingerprint associated with the ticket. I have never seen them do this for a party.

If there is no name on the tix (I don't remember there being a name on ours last year) def opt for the MVMCP. We did the sleigh ride 2 years ago which departed from the Wilderness Lodge and although very festive it was not very long and I didn't really fell it was worth the money. It was nice to do once but I wouldn't suggest it is a replacement for MVMCP.

We did MVMCP twice last year and had a wonderful time!! Well worth the $$ for us!

Whatever you decide, have fun!!!

Did she get the tickets mailed to her or did she pre print them from home?
I printed mine from home and they do have my name on all of them however at the park, they never asked for any ID. So I am sure it will be fine. If push comes to shove, buy your tickets and have it sent to you or pick it up when you get there I dont think you are going to have any issues.

Is your friend willing to be the one to take the chance?

That is, give you the tickets first and provided everything works out you pay her when you get back home?

I have heard good and bad on both.

The MVMCP seems to be missing some items from years past. I was debating whether to go or not this year. It seems to be a higher rate for less.

The Sleigh Ride is going from a different area this year. I don't know how that will change things. I loved taking the Carriage Ride in Fort Wilderness and seeing the lights, but did not care for the Sleigh Ride from Wilderness Lodge.

Disney seemed to figure this out and is now doing the Sleigh Ride (again with the higher rate) from Fort Wilderness. I can only hope it still goes through the campground to see the lights.

Well I am here now and we passed up the party tickets, money didn't allow. I did book the sleigh ride, $45.
One thing I noticed and am highly dissappointed in... The lack of Christmas decorations. And don't tell me it's early. We come just about every year on the same week and there is a BIG difference this year. The party wouldn't be the same without all the decorations.

Ok, I stand corrected. The magic kingdom is nicely decorated, but epcot and downtown Disney are pretty bare.

Worth noting, I rode the new space mountain.
