This is us, he is 29 and I just turned 25.
So I got engaged on Sept. 18, 2009. He proposed to me while we were laying in bed. But here's the back story. He went to NYC to pick up my ring from a jeweler his parents use...his plan was to do it a week from the day he picked it up. He was building a website that would say "Will you marry me" when I visited the site. We always look for cheap vacations on our computers, so on that night he was going to tell me to visit a certain website because it had a good vacation deal, but really it was going to say will you marry me and he was going to be on one knee when I looked up...cute, right. Anyways, he couldn't even wait 1 day, while we were getting ready to fall asleep he got all excited and just turned to me and asked...but I loved the way he did it, it's so typical us to not be able to surprise eachother  This is a picture of my ring.
Anyways, after much flip flopping on what we wanted to do for our wedding, we finally decided to do an Escape Disney Wedding!! Ahh, I get excited just saying that :bride: Sometimes I have to pinch myself because it seems so unreal that I am actually planning my DREAM wedding.:littleangel:
I have put in the first call to Disney Wedding team and am waiting to hear back from them..if they don't hurry up and call I'm going to jump out of my skin with anticipation! I really want to secure my date that I want (june 2010) by the end of this week! I've got some ideas from people for Save the Dates but if anyone has any pictures please post and give me more! LOL
I cannot wait to update everyone on my day to day planning :rotfl:

So today I went home to MA and went shopping for my wedding gown with my Mom and sister(MOH). I liked one, but did not buy any today...but it got me to thinking about how the heck I was going to get my dress down there without it getting completely wrinkled/ruined/lost? I was wondering if any of you have any advice on what to do..and how much it would cost to ship it down there. Also, did any of you use Mens Warehouse in Orlando for the Tux's?? Did anyone use Carolyn Allen's? I am trying to decide what to do about this to..I need ALOT of help please! I'm stressing out over the details.
Also, we looked through the list of officiants Disney sent us and were interested in Rev. Randall and Rev. Tim Herring. Has anyone ever used either and what did you think/hear about them??
Thanks!!!
Chilly

Brides have shipped their dresses to Carolyn Allen's before and had them steam it. Both they and Mens Warehouse have been used by DIS brides and i've not heard any complaints.

I've picked Rev Knox, but I think everyone has liked thier Officiant.

We chose our officiant today! We went with Rev. Tim Herring. We are so psyched about him because he just gave me and DF a great vibe:)
I also chose the colors of our wedding. The girls will be in this brown dress and carry pink flowers. I am choosing to use fake flowers and make the bridesmaid bouquets myself.
The groom and the fathers will be in a khaki tux. They will have pink flower boutonniere.
Now for my hair. I have gone back and forth about whether I want it up, down or half up. Let me know what you think about my pics.

Congrats on getting your date! I like a lot of those hair styles but for some reason I really like the one that looks like it is half up, it is the one before the one with the bun and pink flowers, sorry kinda confusing haha.

So what are people doing about wedding gowns. Since we can't wear them in the park have people bought 2? One short one (not so weddingish) and one traditional gown? I went and tried some on today and think that I found "the one"! I loved it..but its a little pricey:guilty: Let me know what you guys think!! This one would be the 2nd dress to wear into park.
sillykaren
10-27-2009, 07:51 PM
Ooo I really like that short one to wear into the parks!! :)
They're both very similar actually! :) I tried on a very similar dress in DB but thought it was a big too formal for me. I guess I see lace as formal! :rotfl2:

It's funny because I am a very informal girl and thought that I'd never like something that is full of lace..but it was just so beautiful on and I was like I need to have that!! LOL
I'm also in love with the short one, but I am trying to keep the dress on a budget. If I was to get both that would be over 1200. I mean how long do you actually wear it. I think its crazy to spend 1000 on a dress that I'll wear for a few hours. But I love it;)

So I ordered our Guest Bags today, I had them embroidered in our wedding colors!! I'm having so much fun putting the bag together.
Also, I've done some more thinking on my wedding dress, I really don't see spending a ton on the dress since I won't be in it for all that long..also, I have to figure out who I'm using on my hair and book them..

I have lace in my dress, and it's a short one too. I love your choices! They are so pretty and will look beautiful in the SBP setting!
Also, our Escape wedding is January 3rd, and we've booked 4 or 5 of the restaurants on your list! The reservationist highly recommended Boma to us, so I'm really looking forward to that.
I love the bridesmaid dresses too! So cute! I think it's something the girls can wear over and over again.
Good luck with your plans, and I can't wait to read more!

I really wanted to go with Mens Warehouse..but they didnt have the tan tux that I wanted the guys to wear. Instead I have to go wtih Carolyn Allens, which I'm a little nervous about..My guests will be arriving on Monday and the Wedding is Wednesday, so I'm hoping Carolyn Allens will be able to come to my hotel room Monday @ 4 to do the adjustments and then bring them back Tuesday afternoon..If anyone has any experience with Carolyn Allens please let me know if my timeline is legit.

The first dress you posted was the dress I wore, so if you want to see pics of it in "action" my TR is full of them.
Look out for Alfred Angelo deals, we ended up getting $100 off. It was super comfy and didn't get too hot, I ended up adding a crinnie to it also!

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do the night before my wedding. I know that my mom and sister(MOH) are going to be spending the night with me..I just havent decided if I want to get a new room for all of us or kick DF out of my room and put him in a room with his parent's and have my family with me in our room...What did other people do??

So I got the bags I ordered from online a few days ago. I ordered them in Brown and Pink which are my wedding colors. I am mostly satisfied with them, they only cost me $14.95 with free embroidery, but will be adding a Rhinestone Mickey to all of the bags. I got bags that said "Best Lady" (DF is really close with his sister and wanted her to be his best man), Maid of Honor, Parent's of the groom x 2 because they are divorced, and Parents of the bride. I have a flower girl who will be almost 2 by the wedding so I figured I'd personalize her bag and I ordered her a completely different bag. I emailed ALOT of companies asking for donations or coupons to help lower the costs, I thought I would get a laugh in the face and these companies would tell me to jump off a bridge, but I got the complete opposite. I have gotten a ton of free coupon vouchers for a lot of products. So enough ranting, in all the bags I plan on putting the following:
-SunScreen packets ( I got about 15,000 free packets from the Skin Cancer foundation. I emailed them asking them for any samples they could provide me for my guests, and I got home the NEXT DAY and there were three huge boxes full of packets, its a great way to save money by emailing companies.)
-Shout wipes (again got free coupons from this company)
- Bandaids with Disney Characters
-Tampons for the girls bags( they mailed me 5 free coupons)
- Kleenex packets (mailed me coupons)
- Gum ( I am getting a ton of free gum coupons)
- lint roller
- wet ones
- Disney playing cards
- chapstick
- snacks and water ( we will buy this once we are down there)
- A welcome folder that includes, hidden mickey pamphlet, Did you know facts, intineraries, park maps, welcome letter
-Window clings we made for everybody's resort window
-Vera Bradley Clutch for the MOH, MOB, and Best lady. They match the wedding colors and I thought they'd love them.
-disney pens
-disney tin filled with advil, tylenol, immodium, neosporin
- disney notebook
The flower girls bag is a little different:
- princess crayons
- personalized minnie mouse bathrobe
- autograph book
- disney pen
- disney notebook
- Vera bradley mini bag
- bibsters, snack cup, zoo pals platicware (things for mommy)
- wet ones
- disney coloring books with stickers
- disney mini book
this is the flower girls bag that I ordered, it is a cinch top backpack. above minnie will say flower girl and below will say her name
this is the flower girls goodies
This is the adult bag. I have not bought all the goodies yet, so this is what I have so far.

So I did these a while ago, but just getting around to posting. I wanted a unique way to ask my flower girl, MOH, and Best lady to be in our wedding, so I made each of them one of these and made the envelope too.
I love Sunday's. I sit on the couch and do crafty wedding things while watching Football with DF. I'm making the window clings tonight, so we'll see how those turn out and I'll post soon :)! Happy Sunday:rotfl::rotfl:

great job on the gift bags, they look great! And what a good idea to email the companies to ask for coupons! I'd go with probably making DF stay with someone else if he can. This way you can save the money for the extra room for the honeymoon. I think we're just going to stay together. We already live together so it seems silly to stay in separate rooms for that one night. Although I do think it would be fun the night before to just be with family or friends.

I live in Miami so we're driving up in two cars, mine and DF's cars. The bags will be assembled already and packed in a box in one of the cars, probably Dannys because he has the hatchback and more space.
We're not taking much up, the dress, his suit, luggage and the welcome bags.

Thanks to someone on the boards, I think it was (jessesgirl-080708, THANKS!!), I was able to get a good idea of what I wanted to do for door hangers for everyone. For hair, I had Ana from Beute Speciale and she was awesome!!! My hair did not budge the entire day - even after dancing, and the heat and humidity, my hair still looked perfect at the end of the wedding. The curls stayed (which NEVER happens with my hair) - our photographers even commented on how my hair looks the perfect in every picture.

I definitely saved money...ETSY charges you so much for the tank tops with the the word Bride on it and just the transfers. I ordered through http://www.fbcdesigns.com/....bought the tank tops on sale at American Eagle..saved tons of money...I got 15 transfer sheets and two different color rhinestones..I probably spent $20 on materials and will be able to make a bunch of shirts with the materials. I am planning on making (all in disney font) Just Married, Best Lady, Maid of Honor, and Flower Girl. If I have extras I will make more for me :). For the waltograph font, I just printed it out from my computer in mirror image and traced it with rhinestones. ( I suggest if you do this, get a really good pair of tweezers..I got 2mm stones which are really small, and annoying to work with, but I wouldnt have changed the size of them). This is reallllly a time consuming DIY craft, but I really enjoyed it...I just put the tv on Grey's and made one in an hour :goodvibes. Hope that helps, if you need more info let me know, I asked someone else for there knowledge(acwinsett), so you can ask me all you want:laughing::laughing:

I didn't but the transfers thru ebay, I'm not sure if you are buying transfers people made you or just the rhinestones, I used http://www.fbcdesigns.com/...really cheap and quick shipping. Hope that helps!!

So I've been busy this morning buying up some things I've seen but hadn't ordered yet!
Here's the dress I ordered for the rehearsal dinner. I thought it was cute, reminds me of minnie mouse..I couldn't get a picture so here's the website
http://www.camdendrive.com/attractive-short-red-polka-dot-dress-n2101.html
Here is the DF's shirt that I ordered
the front

The back

That garter is ADORABLE! I LOVE it!!!
And that shirt idea is perfect! DF is a huuuge huge Lakers fan! What website did you get that off of? I wonder if there is an NBA one!
AAAAND your dress is so cute! It's very "classy Minnie" esque, if you will! I'm kind of hyper this morning, if you hadn't noticed!:rotfl: Sorry!

HAHA! I'm hyper too...I went a little online shopping nuts this morning. Anyways I went ahead and googled to see if they had NBA laker shirts and they do!! Here is the link http://store.nba.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3222873
You get to choose the color of the Tshirt, the logo on the front and then instead of a logo on the back Customize the name on the back. I choose #9 because our wedding is on June 9. But you can choose whatever number you want. Hope that helps!!
IF you order it use this discount coupon code I found for you CPNCBNZ7

I'm hoping to go look at dresses during Thanksgiving break and during xmas break as well. Hopefully I can find something in the next couple months!
That's a really good question about the manicure and I'd be interested to hear opinions on it. I think I might just do mine before I go down to make one less thing that needs to be done there...but then I'll have to be extra careful to not mess it up!

Thanks to DisBride, jspahn, I was able to create the window clings that I loved so much. I just loved the idea of including them in the welcome folder, and thought our guests would get a kick out of it. We are only have 12 guests, a total of 5 rooms, so I didn't have to make too many:goodvibes But here is our design. We are going to cut each one out so they can put them where they want in the window. Sorry its a bad pic, I cant take a better one, becuase I'd have to peel off the sticky part to do that. Ours will say "We're Getting Married in Disney", "We're here to say "I Do" Then the Mickey's say Bride and Groom.

Congrats! The cricut is awesome! And $198 is a really good deal. I think I paid around $250 for mine a few months ago but it came with a few cartridges that I really didn't need. It is a little confusing at first, but just follow the instructions and you'll be fine and it cuts everything out like magic! Not sure if you're into scrapbooking or not but it seems like it would be great for that and you wouldn't have to buy those expensive 3-d stickers anymore. Those are the only kinds of stickers I like, so a big cost savings for me. ;) Even my friends who are not into any kinds of crafts thought it was a really awesome machine.
For the Mickey Heads, you'll need the Mickey and Friends cartridge, but you can find that for cheap on ebay, I want to say less than $25.
Hope they answer all your questions on your call!

Good luck with the text, after you cut out the Mickey head, keep the full sheet (after you take the Mickey head out) and you'll have your template. Then you can print the text and see if it ends up in the lines!

Hey Girls! I need your help...if you are getting married in December and want to help me out let me know! I am looking to get 6 blank room keys for a DIY project that I have in my head. I've contacted everyone in Disney and no one is willing to mail me them. When you check in and tell the front desk that you need them they will give you them but I am not going to Disney before my wedding. So I need a Dec Bride to get them for me and then I'd pay for postage to get them to me...PLEASEE Help me!:flower3:

So when I first got engaged, after all the excitement I thought to myself, darn, now I have to diet. Well I started weight watchers 2 weeks after becomming engaged which was at the end of September. I thought that it would take me at least 6 months to lose the weight I wanted which was around 15lbs.....well 2 months into and I reached my goal weight this morning. So I've set a new goal for myself...I'm only 5'4 and right now I weigh 115..so now I'm going to try and go for 110lbs, which is what I was before the freshman 15..so we'll see.
I should have been excited about reaching goal weight but my first thought was, now I have to maintain this weight for 6 more months :confused3

Maybe you can find some pretty flowers to put in there too? I saw one picture of a bride with orchids in a hair style very similar and it was beautiful.

One thing about AA dresses, you have to go during a great sale, I bought my dress for $450 when it was regularly almost 700. Their dresses are pricey but if you love it just hold out for that sale. Also, sign up for their emails, you get coupons and discounts all the time, follow them on Facebook too, they post deals there too. And I just got an email that they're having sample sales in store as of Dec. 3. If you fit in the dress you can buy the sample they have in store for a great price.

The pomander is so cute! Great job! How nice of your DF to surprise you with the earrings, that's very sweet of him. I like your wedding band, the one I want is similar to that. I don't think you can ever go wrong with diamonds!
For the ADR's. I think it opens at 7 am EST. I would call as close to 7 am as you can, especially if you want hard to get ADR's (Le Cellier, CRT, etc).
You just need your own reservation number and a phone number that you'll want to give them. The reservation number is needed because as a Disney guest you can make ADR's for the following 10 days which is a perk. If you weren't staying at a Disney resort you'd need to call every day or wait until your last day's window opened.
With group reservations I would just call. I know you can use the regular ADR for up to a certain # of people but not really sure how many people that is. If you aren't able to do it online, you don't really want to waste your time with that. They would be able to transfer you to the right department right away.

Great job on the pomander! She'll look so cute with it. The jewelry is really pretty too, gotta love a DF that gets you earrings for no reason :lovestruc. You're ahead of me when it comes to the rings! We still haven't looked at rings yet, but we'd like to get matching wedding bands. My DF's father also gave him his grandmother's wedding ring (in addition to my engagement ring), but I'm not sure if I want to use it!
Did you make your dinner reservations? I know that we called Citricos directly more than 190 days before to find out information and they sent us a fixed menu for large parties. The assistant on the phone put our date on her calender and at exactly 190 she added our reservation for us! She said that they don't typically get such large reservation requests and sometimes brides even show up with their wedding guests without a reservation, so it made us feel pretty good for being on top of it :cutie:.

I havent had many updates lately..so I havent posted in a few days...but here are a few!
-I ordered our cake topper and I finally received it today! We love skiing(Df more than me..but I love it too) So I found the cutest ski wedding couple topper and had to buy it....DF doesnt know so I think it will be a cute small surprise for him...at least he'll know that I'm trying to make this day about us..even though he is doing so much of this Disney wedding for me.
-I have been emailing my coordinator about getting prices on a grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner...she hasnt given me prices yet, but I think when I get them, they will be outrageous..so any feedback would be great about other bakery options...etc.
-I decided on flowers, I will be using Pink Gerbera daisies for my bouquet and DF's bout. I will be making the BM's bouquets and groomsmen bouts with silk gerbera daisies in a darker shade of pink.
-I bought the cutest wedding notebook that I have been using to put everything in. I
-Dress shopping in T-minus 12 days!!
-wedding diet update!! My original weight goal was 115lbs.. I'm 5'4 and before engaged weighed around 130..never overweight..just wanted to look the best I could for my wedding day... So I went on weight watchers..and lost the weight wayyy to quickly, so I lowered my goal weight to 110lbs..well this morning I weighed myself and was 113lbs..so I'm soo, soo close :rotfl: I'm so happy, I never thought that I would have the will power that I've shown so I'm really proud of myself...
-Invitations are almost done, I just have to work on their presentation..they will be getting delivered in a A7 box with rose petals covering the invitation inside the box

I have made all the invites myself. I ordered the actual pocket invitation, inserts and all the paper you see from www.cardsandpockets.com they were super cheap...I got them on sale and had a coupon code. My advice if you are teetering back and forth would be that if you have more than 20 to put together yourself....pay someone else to do it...I only have 6 to put together so mine was an obvious decision because there were so few. I love some of the really cute ones on etsy...so either way I think you'll be satisfied...just know that putting together your own invites is more work than it looks. I went into this thinking it would be a breeze and I could finish them in one night...hahahaha I was wrong.
Your bags are so cute..I didn't see those..If I did I would have definitely picked them out though.

Your sis got hers done there right? What did she think?
You and your DF look so cute together!!!! That's so nice of his parents to throw an engagement party for you both. :cutie:

Yes my sister got her dress and alterations from Davids Bridal..she is rather short, 5'1 so she had to get her dress shortened quite a bit and she had no complaints about them. I plan on using them if I need alterations just because it is so convenient and easy. I'm really hoping that i don't need any and can just find a pair of shoes that makes the dress sit perfectly on the ground..we'll see. I know, I can't believe its already 5 months!!!! EEEEEEk:scared1: I'm home sick today and I'm actually getting a ton of stuff done..I just finished up my invites and will have DF bring them to post office tomorrow to get them posted. I'll post pictures tonight.

Hi Jessica! Everything looks great! Yay for getting your dress!
Sorry I haven't sent you that info yet:flower3:
Hope it's not too late for you! The Mickey Pomanders that we made were sooooo easy.
Lots of girls on here have done them differently but here is how we did them.
I went to Hobby Lobby (maybe Michaels) and craft store will do. I bought stirofoam balls in two sizes. One larger one for the head and two slightly smaller ones for the ears. The size you buy just depends on how you big you want your Mickey. I made two larger ones for my bridesmaids and one smaller one for the flower girl.
We used floral wire to fasten the ears to the head. Position the ear to the head and Poke the wire through the two balls at an angle. I just cut the wire and folded it over the ends. Do the same thing for the other ear, when you are done you will have an "X" going through the center of the stirofoam. I have seen people hot glue them together, but I never once felt like the Mickeys were going to break, so I like this way a little better. I thought the hot glue might not hold as well.
I think I may have explained that confusingly, just let me know. ;)
After this, use whatever flower you like. What I did was use three different color hydrangea and pluck all the petals off of them. Then, pinned each petal to the pomander until it was covered. I just used regular pins with sparkles on them and stuck each petal down. You can use any flower you want, I really like the ones with whole flowers, the reason I used hydrangea instead of a rose is because it made the Mickey's look a little less "bushy"
http://i307.photobucket.com/albums/nn290/jessesgirl-080708/carlydis035.jpg
I went back and added a little green to them once I put all the petals in. But you can see the size difference.
Here is what they looked like finished. After the ceremony they put them on the cake table

Just let me know if I confused you!
Hope this helps you! Good luck!

So I have my floral appt with rosie today at 5:30...I'm deathly ill so I'm thinking I'm going to pass it over to DF and give him my list of questions. I haven't decided yet though, because this is a HUGE part of the wedding and I want floral to be right and DF has NO idea what to OK and what the vision is....i might just tough it out and do it myself..just as a reminder this is what I want..light pink gerbera daisies wrapped in brown ribbon.

I would NEVER let my DFi handle the florist ever. He's helpful with boy things like installing/building/fixing but not with flowers, lol.

So my floral call with Rosie went great! She is really great to work with...she understands our budget and is helping me keep it under what we want. We discussed a LOT of things and I got a lot of questions answered. So I found out that I could have gerbera daisies substituted at no additional cost so I'm getting the exact bouquet that I wanted (pictured in above response). I also found out that to have petals down the aisle it costs $65...which was not something I wanted to splurge on. I did however really want a staged exit and at $3.50/toss petal bag, I went with that. I figure that I'm only going to have 10 toss bags, so its only an extra $35. The bridesmaids bouquets through disney were too expensive so I am still sticking with making silks for them. Also, as of right now I have Disney making the guy's bouts, but I may change my mind and make those also. Overall, we are going to have minimal floral because I personally (and this is my opinion only) do not see the point and spending a ton on floral for SBP when we are only going to be there for an hour..we are not having a reception where I could move floral to afterwards, so for us, it just didn't make sense....blahhhh ok, I'm done rambling, goodnight.:surfweb:

That's awesome that you can substitute Gerbers for your bouquet!! I want to do the same thing, so it's good to know it can be done at no extra cost (I was worried they'd try to charge us for going with a CHEAPER flower!). :thumbsup2 I totally agree with you about spending loads of $$$ on floral...not my thing either - I'd rather use that money during the honeymoon! $65 in petals for the isle?!?! That's crazy. Have you looked into freeze-dried petals? I'm pretty sure they are cheaper and they still look fresh. The staged exit flower petals price isn't bad, I think $35 is totally doable for some great exit pics...we are doing the same thing, just not sure where the petals are going to be purchased from. What's great about our type of reception is we don't have to spend more money on floral to decorate the locations! woot :yay:
jessesgirl-080708
01-13-2010, 12:02 PM
I don't know if this is allowed at SBP but for our staged exit we bought roses from Costco and plucked them ourselves when we got to Disney. We just put them in a basket and let the guests take a handful.
If you have a rental car 2 dozen roses were only $14.99 at Costco and I think they always have really nice flowers. Esp. pink roses. We bought four dozen and had more then enough petals for everything we wanted.
If you really want to aisle petals it may be worth looking into. We were local so it was just a stop on the drive down.

I can totally see why you are having such feelings of indecisions! I just looked back over your PJ and it seems like you liked this second one because it reminded you of an AA dress you really liked.
What about going to try them both on again? Maybe that'll help you decide.
I like them both on you, but I think the gerber daisies will look better with the second dress, IMHO.
Can't wait to hear the final choice!

They are both beautiful and both look amazing on you. I am partial to the first because the top looks a little like mine with all the sparkles. B&W photo but you can see the sparkles.

I think the other dress you tried on looks like Sam's (tiggersam). I just love the flowing feel to it.
The first probably shows off your waist a little bit more. Such a hard decission.

aww Jessica, I totally understand. I'm SO indecisive too!!! I thought DB's doesn't exchange, did you explain your situation?
I like both dresses. But they are both completely different. Like opposite sides of the wedding dress spectrum! The first is ornate and poofy, the second is simpler and straight. I think the first one shows off your shape more than the second does, but that might be just because of the corseted top and the second one is a straighter cut. Did you want a pick-up skirt? What draws you to the second one that the first one doesn't have (or vice versa)? I think the second one reminds me of a beach wedding type dress because it's so light and airy...but that might fit since you're getting married at SCP! I say the safe thing would to be try them both on again as well. Maybe that will solidify whichever you like more. Or maybe you could find another dress that has the characteristics you like in both! ehh, sorry this might be making your decision more difficult...
But I think they both look great on you. Ugh see how indecisive I am!?!? :rolleyes1
EDIT: Okay I took time to compare and looked not at just the dress but YOU in the dress, thought about it at an outdoor wedding with your Gerber bouquet and a flower in your hair. I think the second one will match that vision more than the first. It's more laid back, less princessy pouf. I see the first one with a veil, the second with a flower, ya know? Honest opinion there!

Wendy- I explained to DB that I was going back and forth the day I purchased the dress and that I wanted to switch to the other..she said no problem, but I was going to have a $200 store credit. Usually I wouldn't like a store credit, but I have to buy a bridemaid dress for my friends wedding and I figure with the other $100 I'll buy DF's sisters dress for our wedding and she'll give me the cash. So that's not a big deal.
Thanks to everyone who gave their honest opinions. I'm in love with both, so this makes it so hard. The only thing that is pulling me towards exchanging for the 2nd one is that when I envisioned my day, I envisioned myself in a more flowy simple dress...but then was thrown for a loop when I fell in love with the one I bought. I agree with those that think with the hair do that I picked out will most definitely go better with the second one...I think the first one is gorgeous..but the more I look at it the more I feel that its just not me.
I've always wanted to be a more decisive person.....glad to see even now that I've grown up and I'm getting married, I'm still the same old "can't make up my mind me".:lmao:
I'll let you all know when the final decision is made..even though I'm pretty sure I'm going to switch the dresses.

You're dress decisions are hard for sure, would you regret getting rid of dress #1? Thats how I think about things, I'm also VERY indecisive...So I think okay if I get rid of this, will I regret it, and if I will, I don't. Usually that serves me pretty decent... Good luck with your decision. I love dress #1, but thats the inner princess part of me speaking!~ Dress 2 is also gorgeous!!
Can't wait to hear all the rest of the details!!!

I'm not a good person to ask...lol, I exchanged my original DB dress for one from the 2010 line. Personally I love number 2. Number 1 is pretty but it's very common (which isn't bad...it's popular for a reason) but the second dress is very fitting...it's VERY flattering on your body. Both dresses are goregous so you can't go wrong!

I think if you're thinking about it this much you really want the second dress. But it would be a good idea to try them on again just to be sure. I think I like the second one better on you, even though both are beautiful, it makes you look so tall and I think it fit more with your vision of your wedding. Good luck in deciding, no matter what you'll look great!

I just stumbled upon your thread. And as an "outsider," I think the first dress is REALLY flattering. Much more than the second dress. The second one is pretty but it almost looks like it's for someone hiding a baby bump, to me.
Plus, if you're having a Disney wedding, the first one works much better for that.
Anyway, just wanted to throw in an "outsider" opinion. I think you look gorgeous in the first dress!

I agree with this statement 100%. The empire waistline of the second dress doesn't give you as nice of a silhouette as the first dress. In general, I think an empire waist is a hard look to pull off.

I really like the first one. It flatters your body shape more, I agree with PeytonSdiz that the empire waist is not as flattering which is universal. I know it is so hard. There was this dress I wanted from Maggie and it was not out yet when I got my dress. I kept thinking omg i made a mistake until i had my final fitting and saw i DEF made the right decision. I do think you should try both on again and see if you get that "feeling" with one more then the other. But I really love the first one on you.
I also like the dress for the welcome dinner-it is so summery and fun! With a cute pair of flat sandals, you are all set!

It started last Monday, when I went out in the AM I realized I had a flat...:mad:Not happy..it was freezing cold in NY that morning too. Then on Thursday, those who live in the NY area know we got some snow and the roads were awful..well on Thursday night I was driving home and slid on some ice and totaled my poor jetta :headache::scared: It was awful..my first accident ever and now I'm out a car till insurance works it out and I get a new one (the only upside to this)

Wow!! Well first congrats on your new car :goodvibes
Second, awesome choice with Port Orleans!! We are staying at Riverside and chose to stay at a moderate hotel to also save the extra money!!! It's crazy how expensive a room can be (that you might not really be in!).
Third, dress choices. What ever happened to the other choice that you couldn't get off your mind? I like the first dress a lot because of the bodice and flower sash, but I'm not a huge fan of the way the dress falls in the front with the different layers of fabric. I like the second dress more because it has that vintage lace look to it, very pretty. I think it hugs your body better but it may be just because of the size you are trying on! I think the silhouette is very modern with that vintage touch. Is that the color sash that comes with it or are you customizing it to match your MOH/BMs? The veil is super cute on you btw :cutie:
Well I hope you keep us updated with the dress situation! I understand the slump too. I think the only reason I haven't been in one lately is because I am getting my dress altered at DB's on Saturday! I'm so excited to have it actually FIT me, it's too big everywhere right now!! Longtime lurker, first time poster in this thread. Being totally honest here, I thought your original in-love-with-it lace dress was gorgeous. The short dress looked like a nightie and should be skipped. The last two that you tried on and have pictures of aren't as pretty as the beautiful lace dress. The shape is less flattering to you. You have a great figure so you'll look good in anything, though.
