The flowers look great. The little mickey head you included is perfect! I agree that the price is pretty ridiculous. I KNOW Gerber daisies aren't worth $50!!!! BUT I really wanted fresh flowers or I'd totally go the silk route, they turned out nicely!
I really like the tanks...it's SUCH a good idea!! The Disney font is perfect and the ribbon on the sleeve is so cute. Good job!
That's a hot looking suit!! I love! :goodvibes
I love the brushed titanium surface of the ring your DF choose! I really wanted Eric to get a brushed gold ring, but they are surprisingly hard to find! Maybe because he wants the flat yellow gold band. I really like the inscriptions you've narrowed it down to. I'm not sure what would fit best because it's such a personal decision based on you guys, but I do love these:
p.s. I Love You
Better part of me
Love arises from beyond the mind
I dunno, those just really stuck out to me :cutie: I am having the same issue - I can't decide which engraving either! :confused3 I think I'm going with “Je t'adore” (French for "I adore you) or "Amor Vincit Omnia" (Latin for "Love conquers all") with the wedding date. He loves the French language and speaks a little bit!

the tank looks great. I really like the ribbon on the top.
I cant really say for the inscriptions because it's so personal. Is there anything specific you always say to each other, or are you just looking for something meaningful.
We've known for a while what to put in our rings. His will say more than life itself, and mine...with all my heart. Simple and quotes from robin hood and maid merian :goodvibes

I am having a very small wedding, we are having 13 people including DF and I, so only 11 guests. I only made 6 packs of tissues ( my parents each get one, DF has two sets of parents due to divorce, so i had to make 4 for his parents). I was going to make one for everyone, but my sister will be standing up next to me, his sister will be standing up next to him and the other 2 are just dates who won't be needing them.
It was more the trial and error that took the time..once I got the technique down it didn't take too long. It probably took me 2 hours to make them..but a couple additional hours to figure out how I wanted them to look.

I also ordered the flip flops that we'll all change into after ceremony. I don't want anyone to have sore feet, because that is just the worst in Disney.

The flops are great too. Yay for updates! :woohoo:

I love the tears of joy packets, I can't decide if I want to do them or not. Sometimes I think it's a lot of effort and we have too many to make...but they are just so cute! I think it'll be a if we have time project.

I worked out the details with Mikkel to do my groom's cake. I was originally going to go with Tasty Too, but I just loved the personalization that Mikkel is going to be able to provide. The top figurines are going to be handmade to resemble DF and I (I sent her a picture that she will use), she will include two of our favorite ski trails on the cake and she is delivering it to Whispering Canyon Cafe for our rehearsal dinner! She is also GREAT with communication, and I would HIGHLY recommend her if you are planning on having a grooms cake. Below is a picture of a sketch she drew up for me.

that is an AWESOME groom's cake!!! What a great idea. I'm not sure if we're doing one but I now know who to go through if we do!!
Okay I see about the packets on chairs now. Thanks! We are doing the basket of flowers instead of the individual packets, so I guess we'll have to figure something different out for the programs and tissue packs (I'm going to make these now :rotfl:). I might have a small basket at the front with everything in it for guests to grab as they arrive!
Love your ideas! :yay:

I think I might steal your idea, I want a non traditional guest book. I think it is fun to put comments not just your name. I can see a lot of my guests not filling it all out. :(
We are getting married on a yacht and I might do a life ring with Disney stickers and our names on it. It will look good in our guest bathroom.

So today in NY was really BEAUTIFUL out! So I got up really early to get my errands out of the way, so that DF and I could spend our day playing tennis and work on my tan:thumbsup2
So today my task was to complete the welcome bags. I went out to the mall, Christmas tree shop, and Target to get this done(big mistake on Easter weekend! SoO BUSY!) So here is a list of what I have in the welcome bags:
-chapstick- with spf 15
-shout wipes
-sewing kit
-hand sanitizer
-disney playing cards
-disney pens and notebook
- lint roller
- tylenol
- mini first aid kit
-Welcome folder (welcome letter, hidden mickey doc, interesting facts doc, personalized itinerery, window cling)
- Personlized wedding CD with music used from ceremony
- personalized tank top for maid of honor and bridesmaid
- sunscreen
- Finding Nemo gummy snacks
- tissues
- beach ball
- rolaids and/or tums
- ponchos
still need to get:
batteries
aloe
print out contents of welcome folder
Snacks & water (will get once down in Disney)
Hair Elastics
Gum
Also, like Andreah did, we are making all of our guests a "Passport" of all vital information. I have finished each page, its just a matter of printing them out before I can post pictures...but these things are pretty awesome!:goodvibes

I booked Loftis Production Services, Inc to steam my gown and DF's suit. They were cheaper than Carolyn Allen's and after hearing conflicting reviews on C.A. and only postives about Loftis, I decided to book her. I am paying $65 for my gown to be steamed and because I mentioned her website, DF's suit will be steamed for FREE!!!!! Woohoo!

I happened upon your journal today and read the whole stinking thing...you had me hooked girl! Your wedding looks like it is going to be amazing! I love the colors you picked and the guest book, and flowers for your BM's and flower girl, your dress, your hairstyle...I love it all and can't wait to see it all come together for you. I had 30 guests and worked sooooo stinking hard on the welcome bags and all the little extras, but was so excited when it all came together for me.
A few quick notes...I had Ana from Beauty Especial do my hair and it turned out amazing...even better than I had planned and it stayed put all day (even through the wind and the rain)! She was a sweet heart and so good to work with.
Also, the flip flops are such a good idea...I speak from experience. My BM's and I all wore flip flops for the wedding, reception, and desert party. They were so comfy and kept us cool too. No one ever saw them either...our dressed covered them up!
I can't wait to hear some more...subscribing now :surfweb:

Hi, Im a new soon-to-be Disney Bride and I just want to say that before I started my PJ I read through all of the PJ's by all the lovely Brides on here, and it has really helped me to get info and etc. Ive noticed a few brides on here make these complaints about another site, but I think, there's always gonna be haters in the world. But you gotta do like jay-z said, "brush yo shoulders off"...lol...because obviously your doing something awesome worth them mentioning. I plan to keep my PJ going, and if the haters comment, o well. They arent going to stop my show. But just know that all of you other brides help the newbies like me through the process and we appreciate it :thumbsup2

Tanis Armstrong~ 7/10 Now I know that this seems low for a Disney Wedding Coordinator and that most people loved theirs, but all throughout my planning process she was nearly impossible to get a hold of. I would have given her an even lower score, but she was really amazing the day of the wedding and the days leading up to it. She totally surprised me and my family loved her...I guess they ended up chatting with her for a while when they were waiting for the limo.
Rosie~ 9/10 She understood right from day 1 what I wanted my bouquet to look like and she nailed it. My pink gerbera daisies were a huge hit..everyone loved them including me. It did weigh a ton but I was in love with my flowers. She gets a 9 rather than a 10 because she was another who was impossible to get a hold of. I had probably 3 unanswered emails from her..but in the end she came through.
Rev. Tim Herring ~ 8/10 Did his job, even called my grandparents and put the cell phone in his book so that no one could see and my grandparents got to hear the whole ceremony. He was kind of crabby and not overly friendly..but he did marry us so I couldn't give him that bad of a score.
Beaute Speciale~ 10/10 AMAZING! I loved my hair and makeup. I had 1 girl...I can't remember her name, but she was like an old friend. She came in and the conversation just flowed the whole 2 hours she was there. She did an amazing job from my inspiration pics to actually creating it on me. The hair and makeup lasted ALL DAY & NIGHT! One of the best decisions I made was to book them!
Carolyn Allens~ 10/10 Leading up until the wedding, even two weeks before, I had planned to carry on my dress on the plane. DH finally convinced me that I should ship it down and then I can have a worry free flight. It took alooooooooooot of convincing to allow my dress out of my site, but C.A. were amazing. They called the moment it arrived in their shop and came right on time to deliver and steam my dress. I had two women come to the room and they worked fast and hard! Great choice!
Randy Chapman~ 10/10 I even feel guilty for having second thoughts on Randy. I was unsure if his style photography was right for DH and I and we went back and forth about scheduling another photographer. I am so happy we did not. DH and I loved him! He was the best decision of our day and we both said that. Not only did he arrive early, but he stayed with us and followed us to Polynesian for some different shots even though he was giving us an extra hour. He knew exactly what I wanted, after I emailed him a description of the shots I wanted and made sure that we got them all. He knows Disney Weddings so much that he told me where I needed to be and when. He was great! I highly recommend him!
Ohana "Welcome Dinner"~ 5/10 Ughh!! What a disaster! We had 7:10pm reservations made back in October...when I got there to check us in, I was told that they were running 35 minutes behind..I was told that we were not going to be able to sit together and that we would have 2 tables in the same proximity. I was like, umm..not ok..I spoke with someone here when making my ressie and was told that all 13 of us would be able to sit together. I was also really annoyed because in our party of 13 is a baby who is almost 2..so a 35 minute wait was hell on her parents. After our wait we were finally seated together (good thing I put up a stink) and then the service still was so slow. People had mixed feelings on the food ( I for one did not enjoy my food), but it was good to have everyone around the table getting to know one another.
Grooms Cake by Mikkel~ 10/10 The cake was unbelievable. It was delicious and a huge hit with our guests. We had her deliver it to Ohana for the Welcome Dinner and she was there right on time! She was amazing..it was so nice to finally meet her after coordinating this cake for months.
Kona Cafe "Reception Lunch"~ 10/10 The was the best meal that I had the entire trip. Everyone loved their food and the staff was so sweet and helpful. I thought it was going to be a little awkward having a reception lunch in a restaurant that had other guests eating right next to us, but it wasn't. The attention I usually stand clear of on a daily basis, I actually really enjoyed on my wedding day.
Sea Breeze Point~ 10/10 Another decision I wavered on up until the day of the wedding. I was so in love with SBP but always feared that it would rain and I wouldn't get to use it. In the end it all worked out beautifully and perfect. It is so beautiful on its own that you don't need any floral..we used toss petals and petals down the aisle and that was it. I loved the pictures we got from SBP! It is so weird that after seeing so many others photos from SBP, when I was walking down the aisle myself it felt so surreal.
teaser pics to come..

I'm glad your back and you had a great time! I had the opposite experience with my coordinator...she was great all during the process, but disappointing on the actual day. I also had a horrible time with our group meal at Ohana, at least that wasn't for your wedding meal! I'm glad you enjoyed Kona! I have only been there for dinner, but I loved it!

gorgeous pics!!!!! I can't wait to see our honeymoon pics with Randy. Loved your reviews, too.
Ohanas was horrible for our Welcome Dinner too! We waited over an hour to get seated. It was seriously ridiculous and I definitely wouldn't recommend them for large party seating to future Disney brides. I'm sorry to hear you had a similar experience.
Yay, can't wait to see more pics! :yay:

Yayyy pictures! Loved them, they turned out GREAT!! Sounds like everything was perfect! :goodvibes I would love to see a close up of your bouquet since I'm also having gerbera daisies. Trying to get a feel for what I should tell Rosie from looking at both your bouquet and Wendy's! :cool1:
I do agree Tanis is difficult to get a hold of, but I'm so glad to hear she came through on the day of. She seems so great and helpful, I just feel like she's swamped with weddings.

Your pics are great - I am so glad you liked Randy as we have him for our wedding in August too. Some really neat shots already.
Your reviews are very helpful - now I am scrared about our welcome dinner at Ohana's :scared1: Future SIL requested to eat there and I thought it would be good for our welcome.....ummm

Glad I did...
Sent my dress ahead of time to Carolyn Allens- It's so scary to send your dress away in a UPS box..but it alleviated so much stress from DH and I the day of traveling. They were amazing and confirmed that the dress arrived right away. I also insured the box with UPS in the slim chance that something happend.
Stayed at Port Orleans FQ- We had originally had reservations for Animal Kingdom Lodge, but decided to save ourselves over $1000 and it was nice because we were able to be with all of our guests..which turned out to be ALOT of fun. POFQ is beautiful as well!
Used Randy Chapman- I wavered back and forth but in the end he was one of the BEST decisions of the day!!
Glad we didn't have a dessert party- Another thing that I wanted to do while I was planning my day...but was so glad I did not because we had a 10am ceremony and by 9pm I was exhausted and fell asleep. We also had so much cake left over from the grooms cake and wedding cake that anymore sweets would have put us all in a coma.
Used Sea Breeze Point- The stress about rain was really high, but in the end we had one of the most gorgeous, dry days. It was simply perfect.
Wore pink heels- Despite them being 3inches and having to walk the entire boardwalk with them, I absolutely loved them and love the pictures where my shoes are showing! So if you are a little nervous about a bold shoe choice..I say go for it!! I got SOO many compliments on my shoes!!!
Wish I didn't...
-Put so much effort into the Welcome Bags I spend so much time shopping for the items in the bags and a ton of money shipping stuff down to Disney and I am not sure if they were even really utilized. I know that the bags I had designed for each guest were a huge hit and that they all used them the day of the wedding..but it was alot of unnecessary stress.
Use Rev. Tim- This one is really tough because he did his job, he married us. But I felt that he was crabby and did not go above and beyond. He really seemed frustrated or maybe he was just having a bad day, but I did not sense he wanted to be there. I wish this was one area that we spent a little more time on deciding who was perfect for us.
Use Ohana as our Welcome Dinner Location- Too much time wasted, not great service and the food was so, so. Now, Ohana for the Character Breakfast was amazing..we loved it..but dinner was not so good.

So the day arrived that all of our guests to arrive. My family arrived early @ 11am and DH's family arrived a little later in the day. DH and I didn't want to sit around the hotel and wait for everyone to arrive to we went to extra magic hours at Animal Kingdom. We spend a few hours there and then made our way back to the hotel to welcome everyone!
It was the first day of wearing the classic wedding ears! They got us a lot of congrats from everyone! So much fun!!

Then it was back to the room to start getting ready for our Welcome Dinner @ Ohana. We had to put together everyone's gifts and get dressed up. Tonight was also the night that I would be meeting Mikkel with my Groom's Cake for DH. The pictures of this cake do it no justice, it was unbelievable! Ohana was less than impressive, but they did call DH and I up there for a practice for our first dance.

They were edible but I refused to let anyone eat us. But in the end we had to leave them in our hotel when we checked out because they had melted a bit and we were off to Jamaica and they would not have survived any more time with no refrigeration.

Hey everyone!! I can't believe Christmas has come and gone. At this time last year I was planning my wedding now we are setting up a nursery. Time flies!! As a christmas gift, I planned a 2d/3d gender determination ultrasound for DH. He works during the week and can never make it to my appointments so I made this one for a Saturday. Congrats to your growing family! :goodvibes You must be so excited to welcome your little princess soon. The disney store has so many cute baby things and they are on sale now, there was an adorable minnie jacket with ears on the hood. ;)

Congratulations on the baby girl! Those ultrasounds are amazing and it is great that you and your husband were able to share that together.
Congrats!!! It must be so exciting and to decorate for the room!:cutie:
Hope the rest of your pregnacy goes smoothly and soon enough before you know it you will have a baby to watch over!! It's so exciting to see a Disney Wedding come together and then having a baby! I'm sure she will have many trips to WDW too, She's already got one under her belt right??:lovestruc
Thanks All!! We are so thrilled! I thought I was doing a good job on keeping my bump hidden, but my family let me know today that I'm already huge! LOL:rotfl2: Guess i'll have to get used to this gaining weight thing after I just lost it all for the wedding.

I'm new to your thread, but I just wanted to let you know I loved reading. I only planned on reading for a couple of min (to continue with schoolwork:laughing:), but then I ended up reading all 28 pages:scared1:! Also, thanks for reposting some of the pics, I thought there was something wrong with my computer and couldn't figure out why I could not see any pics.
Congrats with your Disney Princessprincess:

I am so excited to be planning a trip back to Disney!! This trip will be more special as we will be bringing our daughter there for her 1st visit. We are planning for either June of 2013 (our 3yr anniversary) or Oct 2013...Would love to know if anyone has a wedding planned for that time that we can spy on :rotfl:

I'm so excited for you!! It seems like your wedding was just yesterday!! It'll be amazing to take your daughter on her first trip!! I would choose October (less crowds, less heat, +food/wine!)--but whenever you go--have tons of fun!!
