Hi, we are taking our first official DVC trip in May. Staying at BWV. Can we get recommendations on what pools / water parks are especially suited for ages 1 1/2 to 4? Thanks!

You can't beat the Beach Club's Stormalong Bay. It has an outstanding childrens' area closer to the Yacht Club end. I have two children who spent a great deal of time sitting in the real sand of the childrens' pool at the Y and B Club. And when you are there it will be available and close to where you are staying to take advantage of the DVC pool hopping option. Have fun but arrive early to get a nice chair because they go quick. Slower at the childrens' end. :)

Boardwalk's main pool is very nice and has a smaller slide than some. The 4 year old would enjoy it. The roller coaster theme is cute - the slide looks like a wooden roller coaster. The bar/refreshment area looks like the inside of a carousel. They rent water rafts and noodles to use in the pool. It is a great pool but then the quiet pool is nice, too. No slide at the quiet pool but the younger child may feel more at ease in it. Enjoy!

My 5yo (at the time) non swimmer had fun at the OKW pool...just enough area where he could stand to be fun for him. If you pool hop you might want to try Caribbean Beach. I think the new Poly pool can be entered much like a beach...which might work out well for the toddler.
Have fun!

Luna Pool at BWV is great. Our 4 year old loves the slide. Next to the "big" pool is a small pool for your younger one, also near there is a small playground, they should both like it. Storm-Along Bay ( which you can walk to) is the best Disney pool. It has sand and areas for you little one to just walk around. It also has a small water slide on the other side of the ship.
Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard beach both have areas for your young children. My favorite is Typhoon, but they will enjoy either.

For any 1 1/2 year old, Stormalong Bay over at the YC/BC is the best IMHO... it is sand bottom, so the children can sit in the sand & play with the buckets & sand, and you can sit in the sand with them also & help them have a little fun in the water.... When our daughter was that age, she was afraid to actually go out in a regular pool, so this worked out great for her...

The serpent water slide at PO FQ is very tame, just perfect for younger kids - this was my daughter's first experience with a water slide (at age 3) and she really loved it!
