A couple of months ago I signed up through blink for one of those poetry things, just for some extra points becasue there's none out there anymore. You have to post a poem so I posted this poem about an ex boyfriend of mine. I was a stupid poem or at least I thought so. About a week ago I got a letter from poetry.com in the mail. My poem made it to the semi finals in there poetry contest. Now I'm in a running for $1000.00 and a grand prise for the year of $10,000.00. Now wouldn't have be a great way to go to Disney in Dec.

I go this letter too, then I got one a few months later telling me I was a finalist and I needed to go to DC to read my poem. I am not trying to bust your bubble, but I am suspicous that everyone gets that letter. since my peom was equal to something a 3rd grader would write LOL

Got the same letter, but I'm sure there's someone out there that's going to win the money. But certainly not me. I wrote mine about my ex as well.....it wasn't very nice. ;)

My 11 year old got the same thing through school. His entire Alpha class (Alert Alert Alert Boastful dad about to write!!!), that's a class for exceptional kids, was asked to write a poem. Three were chosen by the company writing the book. We got the opportunity to purchase the book for $30.00 I think. Yes, we bought it. I sensed a scam but mom wanted it. You should have seen the pride in his eyes when the book finally got here. Well worth the the money.
