I need to practice for the cruise.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
I am serious please photocopy and mail it to me.

It's a pretty big poster - wouldn't fit on our photocopier I'm afraid, but they have it on Amazon.com

Good morning/good evening - if I were you I'd get to bed young lady!

I can't believe you haven't packed :scared1: I've normally picked out all the clothes about a month ahead of time and have the rest of the stuff already in the suitcase from last time :rotfl: DH however takes a bit longer to pick out his clothes ;) but he's getting better

Have a FAB time:thumbsup2

Happy hump day indeed!

Have a great time Tonya - wish we were there!

Seems like ages since we were in the world. Last three weeks have flown by. Hopefully the next 400+ days will pass with some speed (well at least the ones at work!!!)

John and I got off to get our passports stamped.
No pictures though.

That's what I did...and bought a Cuban cigar. Not a big thing to you; but they are contraband here. (I think a trip to Windsor would be more effective the next time I wanted a Cuban...well at least cheaper!)

Yeah - it's all Todd's fault ::yes::

:sad2::sad2::sad2:

So how far do you have to go to get the stamps? Do you have to see anyone like the chicken bone woman? I'd quite like a stamp but don't really want to venture 'outside'

After you walk off the pier and go through their little entrance way, the building over to the left. Down the hall. All the way down the hall. Big tall well built man. Little office. Charming smile.

I pretty much only have stamps for the US in my passport - not sure if I got one for Holland, they only tend to give you them if you ask within Europe :confused3 if not I'll make sure I get one in December :thumbsup2

How many of you are PCC 2.0 people that are not doing DAP this December? I am looking for people who will be keeping me company "at home".

For those folks that aren't on the DAP thread....just because they are so good at it, John and Kevin are practicing their speciality...

I can't even begin to tell you what I have in mind for PCC 2.0 - I'm afraid to even speak it out loud at home for fear Kevin's head might explode.

Let's just sat it will be A LOT of money for Dreams but all Disney Fans will absolutely freak out........:scared1:

I know what he's talking about and thinking about it makes it hard to breath.

It it wasn't for being able to catch up on the all the goings on at Yvette & Emiel's for new years afterwards, I think we'd drop down from withdrawal!

The weekend has started early for me as I worked last weekend, so I'm just back from the supermarket (grocery store) and the mop chop shop (it was time to get the mane cut again).

Just the MIL to see tonight and then we have a quiet weekend finally :cool1:
Want to catch up on Beatles Rock Band and GH5. Poor Becx hasn't had time for AC for a while, so her town is probably well and truly overgrown heehee

Anyone up to much this w/e?

Hi, I had no idea this was happening. I will ask at work tomorrow but I don't think anyone I know follows (American) football as we call it, talk about football (soccer) though and you'll be there all day :rotfl: We do have rugby which has a similarly shaped ball (not sure if it's the same size) - it involves less kicking and a lot more violence than soccer.
So who won? I don't even remember seeing it advertised on TV (not that I would pay attention )
Hope a good team won :thumbsup2

It used to be shown on channel 4 at around 6pm on a Sunday night but was moved to a late night slot of around 11pm some years later.
I used to enjoy watching it and know the rules well enough to follow the game.
I also used to like watching Kabaddi. Haven't seen that on tv for years!

Of COURSE a good team won! And you really missed out on something...Tom Brady is a REAL LOOKER. (New England Patriots quarterback, for all you real-football-virgin Brits).

Patriots won the last two games 97 - 7. They are doing pretty good with Brady back playing. Or, the last two teams were not so good. Or a combination of both.

Not to belittle the Patriots but saying the last team they played fell into the "no so good" category was a gross overstatement. ;)

Oh, I agree. The last 2 teams were pretty pathetic, and it was not exactly a challenge. But at least Belichick put in the 2nd stringers this time, to give them some play time and to level the field somewhat.

I just want to share my frustration... :headache:
I haven't been able to find my iPod since Thursday morning. I had it Wednesday night. But when I went to work Thursday, couldn't find it. I have searched everywhere in the apartment. Where is should be and many places it shouldn't be. :sad1:

I am getting so behind in podcasts and have had to listen to the radio and too many polital ads in the car! Need to find my iPod! And in the meantime, check out some books to listen to.

That is bad. I hate when I put something down and can't find it.

I don't listen to Podcasts on an iPod. I listen through media players on my computer at work. I have DP's hand me down iPod, but I am not entirely sure how to use it. I know how to make it play the music I asked him to load as my jogging mix, but other than that...I'm clueless.:confused3

Good Morning Everyone...haven't been on in awhile...farmville taking up way too much time. It's misty rain here in Virginia Beach...cold too. Here's wishing everyone a great week.

Hi ya! That is why I haven't joined Farmville :lmao:
I was reading that we're supposed to be having a heat wave over the next few days - temps over 20 degrees centigrade which I think is about 70 degrees F! It's a tropical breeze apparently :beach:

They're like Cheetos but I think Wotsits taste better. They kinda melt in your mouth and leave a strong yet sweet cheesy flavour.
Hoo ha.
They released a BBQ Beef flavour in the early 90s-ish. Would like to see them make a comeback!

It really doesn't cost that much! Ummm, they use sun oil these days which is better for you! And less salt - maybe if the calories are metric then when you convert them it won't be so bad ;)

I think at Christmas you should just go and shop for yourself - you control the budget and you get exactly what you want :yay: :woohoo: (I know it's not in the spirit of the season but it's become so commercialised these days, I think people often forget what it's all about :sad2:)

Good morning, hope you have a quieter weekend :flower3:

Well when we were there in May I took summer clothes (not that you'll need big wooly jumpers in December but a when we were in Florida last December it got a bit chilly some days, although I'm expecting on the boat we'll be warmer most of the time?!) during the day I wore shorts/skirts and t-shirt or strappy top. At night it was still warm but we tended to change for dinner - not compulsory but we enjoyed it.
I've heard the water will be a little cooler on Castaway Cay but I'm going to brave it - can't be as bad as the seaside here :rotfl:
If you're doing Palo you'll want to make sure you fit the requirements - no shorts :thumbsup2
I'd say wear whatever you are comfortable in and take a variety of warm and cool clothes for WDW - layers as one day it can be lovely and warm, the next it's a frosty morning and you need a coat!
The ship has laundry both self service and garment by garment service (which can be express if you need it - I didn't want to iron DH's shirt so we got it ironed for about $7 I think)

How many of you are PCC 2.0 people that are not doing DAP this December? I am looking for people who will be keeping me company "at home".

We won't be going to DAP!

As of right now, I am not doing DAP. My son turns 5 that weekend and I would have too much guilt if I left him during his birthday.

Def Cali Grille not sure about the Wave, maybe brekkie again if we stay at BLT?

And as Kevin always says: "It is just his opinion of this one experience."

I too would like to try it one day, as I would like to eventually do/see everything I can (in WDW and out).

Jason and I are very close to trying about 80% of the restaurants at Disney, but they are always coming out with new ones! I guess that is good though!

Hmmm, how to describe prawn cocktail - it's kind of a sweet yet salty flavour, not very prawny (couldn't tell you if they were like prawn horsradish but I don't eat fish - but yeah a ketchup sweetness) we also have scampi fries which are fishy :crazy2: - but not sure if you guys would have scampi :confused3

Loved all the pics, we only saw the left bit of Nassau - not sure why we never made it to the other side of the ship that day :confused3

Loved all your pics BTW :goodvibes

Ok, so I tried to watch the episode of Time Shift about the ocean liners, but unfortunately we don't get to use the BBC player in the states:sad1:. That show looks awesome though! I did YouTube Time Shift and watched an interesting show about TV dinners :).

Oh sorry :flower3: I was hoping as it wasn't the direct BBC Iplayer link it may work :sad2: Maybe they'll show it on BBC America :confused3

WDW Radio four night cruise aboard the Disney Dream will be February 27 - March 3, 2011.

I am sure it will be a great group of Disney fans.
I am sure Lou Mongello will have some fantastic "extras".

But it is too soon after our PCC 2.0 for me to be off on another cruise.

To the people reading this thread who are going on PCC 2.0 - How often do you goin on a cruise? Some of you seem pretty excited about the new ship. How soon after PCC 2.0 will you be ready for another cruise?

I'm looking to cruise on the new ship sometime in Sept 2011. I'm going to take my Mom on her 1st cruise. I figured that was enough time between PCC 2.0 :)

That's interesting. Shame it's so close to PCC 2.0. Although I expect we won't be going on any vacation 2011 (we were supposed to take a year off next year but then 2.0 came along ...... :rolleyes1) we also want to see California some time soon - Disney and a few other places.

We've only ever done 1 cruise (PCC 1.0) but were hooked and I think Gav's exact words were - we're not doing another Disney holiday without going on a cruise too :thumbsup2 and also - why haven't we done this before

Do you know if Lou Mongello is planning anything for 'Mousefest time' this year? I tried to google it the other day and couldn't find much going on.

I'm looking to cruise on the new ship sometime in Sept 2011. I'm going to take my Mom on her 1st cruise. I figured that was enough time between PCC 2.0 :)

That sounds great, almost a years gap. Hopefully they'll have worked out all the teething issues by then too :thumbsup2
Does anyone know if there are usually any major issues on the first few sailings? If so how long could you expect them to be a problem for?

I'd be perfectly happy to go immediately on another cruise after 2.0 but alas money will not allow that. :sad2:

::yes:: I think I could live on a cruise ship (as a guest of course :rotfl:) One day when we win the lottery :cool1:

And happy birthday month to me!
My rule - in my forties, I got a birthday week. In my fifties, I get a birthday month. Anything I want goes. I finally learned that if I really want something for my birthday, I have to treat myself and not count on someone else. Makes for some nice treats throughout the month.

Good Morning (afternoon or evening, depending where in the world you are).

As I walked out of my house this morning (with a temp of 37F) I was reminded how lovely it would be to wake up in the Caribbean where it is warm and nice while my non-DIS friends shivered in their blankets and snuggies....:goodvibes:goodvibes

Nationally, elections are always first Tuesday in November.

Here in Maine, the hot topic votes are

1. Repeal of the Maine's same-sex marriage law

2. Decreasing excise tax on certain newer cars which would mean a great decrese in revenue for local government

3. Repeal school consolidation law

4. Require voter approval for tax increases

5. Expand medical marijauna las

6. Approve $71 million transportation bond

As a public librarian running a library funded by local government taxes, I am especially concerned about 2 and 4.

Didn't hear this so thx for sharing the info. Sounds like a lot of groups trying to be on the Dream in 2011.

The PCC 1.0 was our first cruise in a long time. It was such a blast that DH suggested another cruise so we're going in 4 wks  to Panama Canal. Our next cruise after that will be 2.0. :thumbsup2

I'm thrilled with the Dreams announcements

Last year DH said we had 3 trick or treaters...this year we had 30 which sent DH out for an emergency candy run :car:

Surprised at how many were older like 14-17 year olds - groups of 6 to 10 of them...when we were kids, 12 was pretty well your last year ;) Most didn't say trick or treat - they know you know the drill - I open my bag and you toss goodies in it. Wonderful that they were all polite and said, "thx" and didn't egg our house or kick in our pumpkin :rotfl:

Is it just me or does this one seem a bit daft? I mean, aren't the voters always going to be in favour of not paying more each year and thus vote not to increase taxes? :confused3

Have you tried spotted dick? It's basically a sponge cake with raisins in. We also have something beginning with an F that is a derogatory word for a gay person (not even gonna try and write it - I'll see if I can find a pic) that always makes me wonder why they called them that - not even sure what it is, some kind of meat thing like spam :confused3.
Those treacle tarts are pretty gross too :scared: And I've never heard of that tea - we have PG Tips, Tetley, Yorkshire, Typhoo that are probably the biggest brands.

Again I have never seen that brand of oatmeal - or porridge as we'd say, must be an Irish thing :confused3 I'm suprised there aren't more beans though :lmao: We have whole aisles of those baked lil beauties :cloud9:

I had a morning out-of-town meeting and took the rest of the day since I worked Saturday a week ago.
Since it is my birthday month, I treated myself to a fried seafood platter. Yum! birthday calories don't count, right?
