Like I expected, I didn't get the walls primed in the scrap room yesterday, but that was because I decided to get the bathroom prepped for painting instead. So I didn't go to Home Depot, but I am still on schedule. But that makes today painting day.

Load to the house
Home Depot
Prime scrap room
Prime bathroom
Ceiling in scrap room

and we'll see where I am after that.

Since it's a weekday, DH was at work, so I was in the house by myself yesterday. I came home and he was a bundle of energy, and of course I was dead tired. I told him, I would complain about how much manual labor I was doing while he got to play on a computer all day, but I realize that once the next month is over (all of our stuff to the house, apartment cleaned and keys turned in) then while he goes to work, I'll have the house to play in. But this is only day 4 and the body is feeling it.

Ugh, I am finally crawling out from under the rock I've been under for the past few weeks.

Only a few things on my list today as I don't want to over do it (again)

Clean kitchen
Tidy back parlour
Tidy Foyer
Clean up dining room
Print page for cj
Scrap double layout
My laundry
Check on Peanut and Elvis
Take Chili out of freezer

Have a great day everyone

10-20-2009, 12:37 PM
Elvis did I miss something???? Prayers still being said for Peanut.

Hope slow and steady wins the race. This is why I have a log home I HATE painting. the boys playroom is sheet rock and it's awful but it's a play room god help me though when I turn it into a scrap room and have to cover those colors.

Holly school schedules have that effect in our house. God help me when I do go back to work It's gonna be a eye opener.

Nancy I won't tell I'd have so done that too.

10-20-2009, 01:22 PM

I was wondering who would pick up on that :) That's done, BTW, and most of my other stuff, but then I remembered that it's DH's b-day tomorrow and I haven't put his calendar together! Once I get off the computer, I'm going to do that.

10-20-2009, 01:28 PM
Elvis = guinea pig

Since he shares a room with the rat our vet said to keep an eye on him. Looks like Aphrodite probably had pneumonia, which Peanut caught, she is an antibiotics...

DD calls Elvis "a reluctant rock star" cause he rarely comes out of his little igloo;)

10-20-2009, 01:37 PM
Elvis did I miss something???? Prayers still being said for Peanut.

He's the guinea pig with "Elvis hair" !!! I hadn't heard he was sick too, but maybe just having meds as a precaution?

I'm slowly working through my list for today - it would go faster (but not be as much fun!), if I could stay off these boards!

Get up and get kids lunch packed (done)
Back to bed (meds making me sllllllooooowwww in the a.m.)
Talk to insurance folks (done)
Walk dog (done - did the longest since the crash - almost 2 miles today! Pre-crash, we were 6 miles a day, but I'm building back up slowly.)
Clean downstairs for DS's teacher/home trainer coming over this afternoon
Try to finish DS Raiders of the Lost Ark 2 pg layout
Assemble new paper storage thingies and get the mountain of paper sorted
Homework supervision
Spaghetti for dinner - as we'll be missing two at dinnertime - they'll have to re-heat later.
Take nightly med and conk out!

All day long - try to remember the kind advice from you lovely ladies...slow down and be patient and let my brain heal!!! I am an anal, non-delegating to others, "Type A" personality - right, Z2H? - who has a hard time with anything else. But, none of that is going to help me get better any faster. So, I'll keep working on "being patient." :rolleyes1

10-20-2009, 02:40 PM
Okay computer is eating my posts

yes you need to listen to us. I need to listen to us am I? nope was just out fixing fence. Now I'll suffer a few days longer DON'T be like me

and thank you for filling me in on Elvis I know I smacked my head but I was really begining to wonder how hard.

10-20-2009, 03:46 PM
Checking in WAY late! Not posting my list since I ran my errands and am now home for lunch/nap for little one.

I guess I can do a still to be done:

Switch Laundry again
Make bed
Prep for dinner
Gather items to go to horse barn - bridle, blanket, DD riding clothes
Wake up little one
PU DD from school
Horseback riding lessons
Call a lady about a horse
Parents Club meeting at 6
Fold clothes

Turn in our construction loan paperwork today! Hopefully we can get this project started FINALLY.

10-20-2009, 07:47 PM
Write up instruction list for DH to follow while I'm gone

:rotfl2: and does he follow it? I think my DH would chuck it before I even started the car. :rotfl2:

scrapbook 4 pages [COLOR="Orange"]going to work on this now... snuck out to J's for the paper sale since my plates/reg weren't as much as we anticipated.. I hated to see that money just go to waste and sit there! :rotfl

Good thinking! :thumbsup2

SIOH, I hope our handsome boy is feeling okay.
Tinkerbean, are Peanut and Elvis out of the woods now? How is Bean doing?
Tinkryansmom, are you going to get the horse?

My to do list for today was:

Communication book
Get DD up and ready for school
Pharmacy to pick up shampoo, mascara, cotton puffs
Talk to Mom
Bring DD to her riding lesson
Oversee tubby time
Watch NCIS and DWTS

:rotfl2: and does he follow it? I think my DH would chuck it before I even started the car. :rotfl2:

He will for the most part since it's mainly the morning routine instructions for the cats and DS. The cats will make him miserable if he doesn't do it right!:rotfl:

I'm almost finished packing and then it'll be off to bed so that I can get up way too early to pick up my Mom on the way to Myrtle Beach!!!!

Have a fun week & weekend everyone!

10-20-2009, 10:02 PM
Have a fun time!!! I hope everyone loves all the stuff you've put together! (I'm sure they will.)

10-21-2009, 09:11 AM
Hope you have a great time DIT! I make detailed lists for DH when I'm gone. He pretty much laughs at me and does what he wants. :lmao:
