Spur of the Moment

I just did something and didn't event think twice...

Booked a trip for DS6 and I to WDW. Honestly...not even twice!!

I've recently got a divorced and of course all that does is mayhem. I saw an email in my inbox about discounts and said, "Hmmmm.. this sure wouldn't be bad for a mom and son trip." :goodvibes Next thing I know, I was given a reservation confirmation number for June :confused3 I think something possessed me.:worship:

So now we are off to WDW and am debating if I should keep it a surprise. This will be his 2nd trip; he wanted to go this year, but for obvious reasons we were not able to go.

Those spur of the moment trips sometimes the best ones. Congrats on making the ressies! Hope you guys have a great time!:thumbsup2

My kids have been a few times so we always keep it a surprise. Oh, they know we're going sometime. They just don't know exactly when. If I want to get their input on something I just say "next time we go to disney world, do you want to do A or B" or something like that. Real general. Or "What is your favorite ride at wdw". They still give input on where to stay, where to eat, etc. They just don't know till they wake up on the morning that we leave that it's the day.

Spur of the moment trips are the best! Our trip this year was SUPER spur of the moment: We were in Disneyland Sept 28-30 and thinking about how much we wanted to go back to WDW, so I booked WDW on a total whim sitting in my hotel room at Disneyland! Booked on 9/30 to leave less than a week later 10/06. NEVER made such a "big" decision as spontaneously as that but it was AWESOME!!

I would try to keep it a surprise, if your DS is good with surprises. I tried to keep it a surprise from DD8 but at the last minute told her anyway, I can't keep a secret unfortunately!
