We just booked the 8/8/10 double dip - are we on the ship by ourselves? This will be our 6th cruise, but our 1st double dip! Looking forward to seeing more of Castaway Cay! In our 5 previous visits we never seem to get past the family beach.

we booked on Dream also, back to backs in July. I was disappointed at no 7 night cruises. We can only sail in the summer because DH is a teacher. Depending on what they announce for the next new ship we may switch one of our Dream ressies to 2012. Also, we may check on switching this one to a 5 day to Key West. We booked on points so I'm not sure how that would impact a move.

I've changed my screen name. Since I lost my job I'm tired of being my old user name. Time for something new...

TVEPFOX is now LuvsBlueDiamonds

Yeah, go figure, what a great screen name for me. For those of you who are getting to know me I LOVE blue diamonds. Ask DH, I collect them!!

I have to start all over with posts and threads, but I don't care. Hopefully this name will bring me good luck and maybe a few new gems!

My husband & I are booked for this cruise for our anniversary. We have been on 2 Disney Cruises but have never had a nice day at Castaway Cay. One cruise it was dreary & cold & the other we missed CC entirely because of a tropical storm. So we can't wait to hopefully have 2 days at CC. Our anniversary is on the 9th. Looking forward to sailing with you all. :sail:

My family consists of me (Kelli), DH (Bill), DS (Noah) who is 12. As I mentioned earlier this is our 6th cruise (all with DCL) and we've never missed CC. We have rain while at CC, even had the beach evacuated during a thunderstorm but it was short and we were back on the beach enjoying the sun.

We'll be on the same cruise after a week at WDW and can't wait. There's DH and I along with our two teenagers. We've been on two previous DCL cruises along with a couple of RCCL. Our first DCL cruise was a 7 day double dip and it was amazing!

We are looking at this cruise - its frustrating that there are no Navigators but I guess we will wait for the May 30th cruise.

Making the final call over the next week or two.....it will be the 2 of us plus our 3 kids - 17 neice, 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter.

We will then go to WDW for a few days as well.

Hi everyone!
I'll be on this cruise, too with my kids ages 8 and 10, and my 6 year old niece and 4 year old nephew. I've been on the DCL before, and my kids are so happy we're doing it again. Did you know that all kids, regardless of age, can play together in the Oceaneer Club and Lab? There are no longer age restrictions. This is good if you have siblings of different ages or extended family members who want to be together.

We'll be in Disney World for 9 days before the cruise.

See everyone on the cruise!

We just booked! Not only will this be our first Disney Cruise, but our first of any cruise. We are doing one of the Alaskan cruises in 2011 so I wanted to get a trip under our belts as I figure there is a bit of a learning curve.

It will be myself and DH as well as our now 15 month old daughter. I will be mid pregnancy too. We'll be in Tampa for the month of July while my husband does a med school rotation. Afterwards we are going to spend a week at WDW then the cruise. We are booked at Kidani but thinking of switching to the Poly.

Glad to hear that you are booked on this cruise also BP :)

It is almost summer vacation for the kids...and almost cruise time :)

Can't wait to be on CC for 2 days! Anyone doing the stingray excursion? We are looking into that and maybe a cabana massage.

Also, anyone booked for the palo brunch or tea?

By the way, anyone have any guesses on the movies that will be shown on our cruise?

These are some of the movies coming up for release from Disney:

PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME --- May 28
Starring: Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Alfred Molina, Ben Kingsley
Director: Mike Newell

From the team that brought the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy to the big screen, Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films present PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME, an epic action-adventure set in the mystical lands of Persia. A rogue prince (JAKE GYLLENHAAL) reluctantly joins forces with a mysterious princess (GEMMA ARTERTON) and together, they race against dark forces to safeguard an ancient dagger capable of releasing the Sands of Time—a gift from the gods that can reverse time and allow its possessor to rule the world.

TOY STORY 3 ----- June 18
Starring: Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles, Wallace Shawn, Estelle Harris, John Ratzenberger, Ned Beatty, Jodi Benson, Michael Keaton, Timothy Dalton, Whoopi Goldberg, Joan Cusack, John Morris, Laurie Metcalf, R. Lee Ermey, Jeff Garlin, Bonnie Hunt, Blake Clark
Director: Lee Unkrich

The creators of the beloved Toy Story films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of Woody, Buzz and our favorite gang of toy characters in TOY STORY 3. Woody and Buzz had accepted that their owner Andy would grow up someday, but what happens when that day arrives? In the third installment, Andy is preparing to depart for college, leaving his loyal toys troubled about their uncertain future. Lee Unkrich (co-director of Toy Story 2 and Finding Nemo) directs this highly anticipated film, and Michael Arndt, the Academy Award®-winning screenwriter of Little Miss Sunshine, brings his unique talents and comedic sensibilities to the proceedings. TOY STORY 3 will be presented in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.

THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE ----- July 16
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Teresa Palmer, Alfred Molina, Toby Kebbell, Monica Bellucci
Director: Jon Turteltaub

Walt Disney Studios, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Jon Turteltaub, the creators of the National Treasure franchise, present The Sorcerer's Apprentice – an innovative and epic comedy adventure about a sorcerer and his hapless apprentice who are swept into the center of an ancient conflict between good and evil. Balthazar Blake (NICOLAS CAGE) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (ALFRED MOLINA). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (JAY BARUCHEL), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer's Apprentice. The screenplay is by Matt Lopez and Doug Miro & Carlo Bernard from a screen story by Matt Lopez and Larry Konner & Mark Rosenthal.

STEP UP 3D ----- August 6
Starring: Adam Sevani, Alyson Stoner, Rick Malambri, Sharni Vinson, Keith "Remedy" Stallworth, Kendra Andrews, Stephen "Twitch" Boss, Joe Slaughter
Director: Jon M. Chu

New York's intense street dancing underground comes alive in eye-popping Digital 3D in the third installment of the STEP UP franchise as the raw, passion-fueled culture goes global. A tight-knit group of street dancers, including Luke (RICK MALAMBRI) and Natalie (SHARNI VINSON), team up with NYU freshman Moose (ADAM SEVANI), and find themselves pitted against the world's best hip hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.

Hi, We just booked cabin 5524. I laughed when I saw your post because I didn't look at this thread before booking. I just read my e-mails this morning and saw the FLR discount for this cruise. I always check for SPH rooms when booking. This is only the 2nd time we've been able to get one!:cool1:

This cruise will be a surprise anniversary gift for my DH. It will be our 14th anniversary on 8/10! I tried to surprise him with a cruise for his birthday but it didn't work out so I'm hoping I can get this one planned so that I can wait to tell him the Saturday before we leave.

Hi Lisa,
I'm curious if you were able to get the FL resident discount since it came out after you booked. I've been trying to find out if that is possible without rebooking? We are booked on the Panama Canal cruise and I'll be very upset if FL resident rates come out after we make final payment and we can't get the discount.

Hi-

Welcome aboard and welcome to this thread!! Yes, we were able to transfer our existing reservation to the FL resident rate. We have never had a problem doing this. However, the agent I spoke w/ this time did almost present a few problems-first, he stated that if the pay in full date had passed (I believe 5/25/10 for this sailing), then we would have to pay a cancellation fee (never heard of that before) and second, we needed to be able to fax our Fl driver license to reservations w/in 48 hours (never heard of that before either). Everything worked out though!! :hippie:

Hi all -

My name is Emily and I am registered on this cruise along with my DH and DD(3). My DH & I took a 3 night Wonder honeymoon cruise in '05 after our Disney wedding. It will be our daughter's first cruise and she is thrilled. We have been booked since Sept. '09, but are starting to get excited. I have been lurking around the boards for a few weeks, so I thought I might as well join in!

I want to thank Lisa for letting me know about the Florida resident discounts - I e-mailed our Dreams Unlimited travel agent about this, as it would save us over half!!! I hope that paying in full already won't matter.........

Anyways, I am interested in the Fish Extender gift exchange - I know that my DD would love to come back to the stateroom to see a gift here and there!

You can still participate if you don't have any kids, I just won't make you post your age. ;) If you feel comfortable providing names, that would be great too. Welcome to: The August 8, 2010 Disney Wonder-Double Dip-Cruise Fish Extenders (FE) players list :fish:,

Here is the beginning of our FE list. We will be doing individual choice for the gifts; either an individual gift or a cabin gift, it is up to you. If you would like to join the fun, let us know in your post. Please include:

your cabin
number of adults
number (age and gender) of children
special notes such as:
allergies
If for some reason you cabin number changes close to the sail date, or you upgrade your cabin at the port, that information needs to be shared with the rest of the FE group.
If your cabin has a roommate situation, where you both are participating in the FE Exchange, but do not reside together in real life, please state that when you sign up. Each person would then be listed and each person would receive gifts of their own.

Please be aware that I will stop checking this thread on 8/1/10. I will compile a list and post it to the thread with all the information gathered to make our gift delivery easier. Any posts thereafter will be up to the individual to update on their list.

If anyone would like to start FE groups that are going in for a group gift that would be great, but I will ONLY keep track of individual gifts. So if anyone would like that task please begin a new thread.

Thanks and :welcome:!

Hi Liz,

I received one reply - I sent PM's to everyone on this thread, which actually was I think 13 users. Pixiedustdawn replied today and should be posting her info soon. User "kayochan" said they were interested on the thread, but has yet to post information, or reply to the PM. Would be great to have more. Originally, I was going to deliver on Nassau day, because we treat that as an "at sea" day, but if only a few cabins are participating, we are going to break our gifts up and deliver a few everyday to keep the kids excited!!!

Hello everyone. Took advantage of the FL Resident rates last night and booked our 4th cruise. Myself, DW, DD (will have just turned 6) and DS (1-1/2).

Got lucky and got our 'favorite' cabin, and was also surprised to see early dining was available, as well as some Palo reservations open. So if any of you are wait listed for main dining, it may be a good time to call and see if you can get that changed.

Hope everyone is as excited as we are...it will be a nice end of summer break before my daughter starts 1st grade.

Easiest way to do FE gifts is Oriental Trading Company or similar enterprise...stuff is inexpensive and plentiful...alternatively a "dollar" store or the like works well too...we have done FE's w/over 50 kids involved to as few as 5-10...

I am really horrible with all of this. I couldn't click on the "click here" nothing came up.

I went shopping for FE gifts and I need an extra suitcase just to fit the gifts that I got, and that isn't even enough for all my cruises. I think I am going to make myself go mad if I try. I have questions...

1. Is it one gift per person, each cruise?
2. Is there a master list that will be handed out when we all meet the first day?
3. Should I participate in this FE? I will explain...

We are embarking upon the Wonder on August 3rd, and disembarking on the 29th. I would love to do every cruise's FE, but I don't think I will be able to. I will talk to my dd and see what we come up with.

Any suggestions?

PixieDustDawn,

First of all, you are so lucky to be cruising for that long - good for you!!

For the FE, here's what I am doing - a grab bag for each child in the stateroom, gender specific. HOWEVER, you could make it simple & easy - do something small for each stateroom, rather than for each person. Maybe something from the town/state you are from? Pen/pencil & a note pad? A homemade label that says something fun wrapped aroud a Hershey bar, just a few ideas along those lines. There is a FE thread that could help you with ideas. Something like that. No one cares about the quantity - it's just the fun of passing out and receiving :) You could make it small & simple.

As far as not being able to click on the link, see if QBNQT can send you the list via PM. Our list is pretty small so far, so our cruise will be easy!

Hope this helps,
Emily

Thanks Emily,

I just drove my daughters crazy with the whole FE thing. We added it all up and decided we are just going to do a FE on one of our cruises. We decided to wait until my oldest joins us, and that will be the cruise we will do it on. I have about six shopping bags of "stuff" waiting to be packed. It is getting out of hand. I couldn't imagine planning an FE for all six cruises, since I don't even know what I am doing. lol

Thanks for the info, but we will pass on the FE for this sailing. I hope we are all going to meet on the first day. I would love to participate in a meet.

Pixiedustdawn,

No discounts. As a matter of fact, I cruised last year on the Magic for the entire Month of August and it was way cheaper. (More days last year) The smaller cruises add up to more money.

Next year I may do it in the Med. Seems to be about the same amount. (Minus air and hotel)

We are going to print out pictures at Target or Costco and use the magnetic sheets (adhesive sheet on one side, magnet on the other) to save our printer ink! Well, we've never had a problem with anything we have printed before, and my spouse always send various photoshopped things to print. We have printed out many Disney things with Disney logos. We had heard that when you try to print wedding pics or any other professional pics, that they won't and they always have. I guess we will see! If there's a problem with one, we will just go on to the next store..........let's see, there's Target, Costco, Sam's Club...the list goes on......:cool2:

Hey everyone,

What do you think about assigning different days to pass out FE gifts? That way, each cabin will get one or two each day, and it would be more special for the kids (vs. all of them coming in 1 or 2 days).

What does everyone think? QBNQT, maybe if we decide to do this, you could add this to your spreadsheet?

Sorry to have so many questions but I'm so excited...and I'm a planner!!!

We have cruised several times before on other cruise lines and we have always been chosen to sit at the captain's table for at least 1 meal. Does DCL do this or have a social hostess?

Also, we are taking the Magical Express from the port on the last day to our hotel at WDW. Does anyone know how early it arrives to pick you up?

About the day at the Bahamas - I have a 3 year old and 4 year old - is the waterpark at the Atlantis hotel age appropriate for them or do you recommend something else?

Formal night - for men - tux or suit or sport coat??? Also, should I eat at Paolo that night or enjoy the Formal night in the main dining and eat at Paolo another night/day?

Do the little girls dress in Princess Dresses or regular shorts/shirts during the day?

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

There is a thread that I read somewhere that talked about someone meeting the Captain while passing out FE stuff and he commented something about "Making last minute deliveries?" That doesn't sound like it's frowned upon!

Silverfox97
06-27-2010, 01:24 PM
mkgal,

There is no formal night on our cruise, just a semi-formal night. We are doing Palo that night. No tuxes needed in either place.

I don't know much about the princess dresses - I can tell you my 3 year old will be in shorts during the day, but will wear a dress (not princess) for dinner and the shows. I imagine if they want to wear princess dresses, dinner/shows would be most appropriate, and perhaps to the meet-n-greet with the princesses.

Certainly you could dress up for Pirate night, of just wear some pirate motif things. I wouldn't miss that for Palo since you haven't cruised DCL before.

Hope it helps, and I am sure someone else will chime in on the other topics. We are staying on the ship at Nassau, so no idea about the Atlantis question you have.

As you can see from our signature line, we have cruised a few times before, so ask away...

Not only are FE's permitted, they are extremely popular...we have had over 50 cabins involved before...lots of fun really, especially for the kids..

Sorry, but never have seen a Captain's table on DCL...

Formal night...not on this trip...generally only on 7 day trips or longer...

Semi-formal might well be known as semi-informal...some people will dress nicely as should be the case, but a lot would be considered casual by many...sport coat for men and nice outfit for ladies would be appropriate..

Princess dresses...well we have a son, but generally I'd say save the dresses for the evening and have shorts for the day...especially since this is August and it will be hot...

Have not been to Atlantis water park, but have been to Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon many times...and from what I have seen and heard about Atlantis, especially given the price, 3 or 4 is probably too young to get much out of it...

As to Pirate Night, there is no rule about dressing up, but yes, most people will dress at least a bit towards the theme...easy to get pirate t-shirt or the like...a few people will wear full costume, but most will not go that far...

Missed the Palo question...Palo is by far the best meal on the ship...by choice, we tend to miss the Animator's Palate Night b/c it is our least favorite meal, but, since this is your first trip, I suggest scheduling Palo for the Parrot Cay night, if possible as Triton's is usually considered the best of the 3 main restaurants, and if you have not been to AP, well you should go for the entertainment value if nothing else...also, I think there is a brunch if i recall, and that is also not to be missed...we always book at least one Palo dinner and the brunch (if there is one)...

Yes, they should be able to get you the PC food in AP, especially if you are polite about it...we have gotten Lumiere/Triton food many times elsewhere, especially the appetizers...

As for rotation, we also requested the double Triton...but you find out for sure when you get on the ship, and for first timers, rotation should not matter...just enjoy the experience...

Lisa will have to post the Navigator links though I think you can find them on the Disney Cruise Line main page on this site...

As to Nassau, there really is very little to see or do and the shopping is mediocre at best....Atlantis is very over-priced, though for those of us who have tons of water park access in Florida, we may be a bit biased on this one..that said, there will be plenty to do on the ship and many people, far more than any other port, will stay on the ship...

The other thing to note in Nassau, or any port, is that you can leave your child in the kids' programs and leave the ship without him/her/them...we have done that many times as our son has frequently preferred and requested to be left behind b/c he would rather be with the programs...they really are that good...

Candidly, unless someone cares to assign days, it can be any day or more than one day..we often stock up from oriental trading, which is inexpensive, and make multiple trips...other people put stuff in a bag and deliver at one time...personal preference really...we find walking the ship on deliveries to be good exercise...

Thanks for your reply! Sounds like it will be a lot of fun and I can't wait to try it! :goodvibes

Fast enough to run and not walk, but not as fast as you (I see you are running a half marathon in your signature!??!)! I am actually thinking of both days......but not sure.........I may do it the first CC day, then decide to just keep hitting the gym instead!

I am not that fast especially if humid, usually 10:45 miles. Would love to run both days. Need to burn off some of all the food I'll be eating! Besides, the treadmill is so BORING!!!

I live in Florida, but I run outside at 6:30am, so the humidity isn't a problem, and actually, I have never run on a treadmill! I run about an 11 min mile so far, so we are pretty close....except I haven't run more than 3 miles! My indoor weapon is an elliptical, but I can't wait to see the gym on the ship - I think it will be so neat to exercise looking at the sea!

The 2nd CC day is the day after our Palo dinner, so I will definitely need to do something. I vow not to go crazy on the cruise - it's not worth it to gain weight, so I will definitely be hitting the gym in the mornings!

Congrats on your upgrade and welcome to the cruise and the thread!!

A FE is a Fish Extender - there are lots of threads on the Cruise Line boards explaining this. Another good place to start is the FAQ sticky at the top of the thread.

I am new to these boards - so my apologies n advance if I am off on my terminology!! :)

We are on the 8/8 wonder cruise - DH and myself and DS-5 1/2 and DS-2 1/2.

We would LOVE to participate in the FE - but even from reading these posts, I am still unsure about how to sign up, how to see who has signed up, and what type of gifts are distributed!

Thanks for helping a novice - and I look forward to meeting you in only 28 more days!!!

Welcome! It's not too late to join IMO, I have exactly 2 more boy FE gifts left. But I can go buy more if anyone else joins. Here are some threads you can look at for FE gift ideas. You can do one gift for cabin, per person or per child, whichever you prefer.

Welcome!
Since you just booked 2 weeks ago, you will probably receive your docs next week. I'm sure you will receive them before you leave but even if you don't, it's not a big deal. You can checkin and print docs for your cruise on-line. Just bring the printed copies with you and the porters will give you luggage tags that you can write your name and cabin number on.

You'll have company on the 5K. Our family group of 16 will have 5 to 7 runners doing the 5K. Should be fun. We've run Castaway by ourselves before, but haven't been part of the 5K yet. Depending on if we decide to stay together, we would have anywhere from 8 min miles to 12 minute miles. Should be fun.

http://www.disboards.com/images/icons/icon3.gif August 8, 2010-Disney Wonder Cruise-FISH EXTENDER LIST!

Cabin #: 6548
2-Adults
1-Girl Age 11
1-Boy Age 9

Hi! I'm new to this and will be sailing on August 8 with my family. My husband and I have gone on cruises before but this will be our first with our little ones. I'm interested in participating in the FE. I had to research it after I saw someone selling one on Etsy.com. My cabin consists of me (Ana-mommy), my husband (Ariel-daddy), my son (Adrian-4) and my daughter (Anabel-2 1/2). I'm excited and nervous. We live in Miami so we will be up there the night before. I don't know what my cabin number is just yet. I will have to get the info. from husband. I'm excited and can't wait.

For FE's, I suggest Oriental Trading or the like, but there are so many possibilities...as to identifying yourself, I suggest doing so, although, again, there really are no rules...but better for people to know you actually delivered something...

We will be back to answering questions etc in a day or two..in transit tomorrow returning from parents weekend at son's camp in western NC..though I need to go to Roanoke next Sunday for a day or two for work..

Another thing, if people want to do a Dis-meet, I sugest deck 10 starboard (the side overlooking the dock) immediately after the mandatory drill and just prior to the sailaway party...we have found that time and location work well b/c everyone is on decks 9 and 10 anyway, unless it rains...

That said, we are always the easiest to spot in the terminal b/c I am 6'8" tall and basically impossible to miss...though we may be arriving at different times this trip as Lisa/Mason will drive up the night before, but I will be driving from a convention in Tampa on Sunday morning..

Me (Ana)
Husband (Ariel)
My Son (Adrian - 4 years)
My Daughter (Anabel - 2 1/2 years)

Cabin #category 12, #6107

My son loves all the characters especially Cars, Toy Story, Incredibles and Up. My daughter lovessssssss Tinkerbell (especially Terrance), ratatouille, and Chicken little.

Make sure if you have yours on order, to follow up to make sure it arrives on time. I think most of us that are ordering FE Extenders or pillow cases are ordering from the same source on Esty.com. I checked about our status (I'm the DH to QBNQT) and learned she is "catching" up on her orders. That said, she plans on having ours in the mail first thing next week which should be fine. We will be leaving for Orlando a week before the cruise so delivery time is cutting it close. Looking forward to this dream vacation. See you soon!

No, our FE extender is coming from Tiffany (aka gradysmommy) or something like that. Not too worried yet as she stated it will be in the mail next week. Plus her feedback is 100% positive. I believe colors are yellow and blue but it has been a while and 3 pocket sounds right. Counting down looking forward to the fun!

An August 1st close is fine...any earlier potentially cuts out people who book last minute and there are still plenty of cabins available on the sailing....we know b/c we have booked as little as 2-3 weeks ahead of time due to various last minute promotions benefiting Florida residents...besides, if anyone joins the FE list this late, it is likely to only be 1 or 2 cabins and that also means more stuff for everyone..:)

If you are putting items in a bag, we usually use self-stick gift tags and put our Dis names and first names. I've made little boxes this time to hold the kid FEs so I'm just going to print out a small DCL design with our DIS and first names. I put about 20 on a page and then just print it, cut them out and put them in the box.

We're down to only 10 days till our cruise everybody! Yippee!!
We leave next Thursday (wow -that's only a week from tomorrow) - driving 10 or 11 hours down I95!! Anyone found any good hotel deals for next weekend in cocoa beach area? priceline just says no-no-no to me and I've been trying for 2 weeks.
Everybody have a safe trip! See all of you on deck 10 at the cruise meet! We'll look for you Chuck!

I heard that we can bring our own alcohol on board. I also heard two different ways to bring it on board - one was on a board like this that said to pack it in a suit case and to carry that when we walk on. A person I met who cruised Disney last October said it needed to be carried in the open where they could see it...

Anyone know what the real answer is? I am coming on board with a 2 and 5 year old, and don't need to have to pack or unpack or repack while trying to board!

Thanks so much for the correct answer!!!

We are beer drinkers and usually just carry it out in the open while boarding. FYI, we are myself, Bill, DW Sandi and DDs Justine and Kimberly(23 &17). We are also scheduled for the Dream on 8/16/11.

We usually just bring alcohol on with us when we board...it must be sealed, ie no partially open bottles from what I recall...we even bring a collapsible cooler...BUT...NO ICE...but no worries, ice is easy to come by on board...

Ok I'm TRYING to finish filling out my forms and it keeps saying that all my forms are not done yet but the only things not done are the payment authorization forms for my 8 and 5 year as I don't want them to have charging priviledges. :confused3 But it won't let me do the last form the Cruise "Contract" one because it says I haven't done all the other forms yet! :headache: Any ideas or do I just wait to finish the forms at the terminal?

Go back in and edit your payment auth, there is an "Account Privileges" section and you must check the checkbox for all children in this section. This does not give them charging privileges, it just makes you responsible for them. After that section is the "Charging Privileges" section and if you do not check off for the children, they can not use their room key to buy anything.

Hey All, I have read through all 14 pages of info on this thread bc we just booked our cruise this morning. Any chance we can still get in on the FE list?? This is our 2nd Disney Cruise and my girls had a BLAST doing the FE last year. We are celebrating all 3 girls birthday's which are all in August, and this cruise is their gift from my mom :-)

DD Kyla age 6 (7 on 8/14)
DD Kennedy age 4 (5 on 8/29)
DD Kailey age 1 (2 on 8/31)

Total of 5 people in the family, 2 adults and 3 kids. I should have our stateroom in the next few hours when I receive the final papers.

Anyway, please let me know if it's possible to get involved in the FE. We'd all love it!

Thanks!

Other suggestion is if you do get room before sailing date, post it here as well as many of us, but not all will be online for awhile...we know that sometimes CM's will find out before day of sailing...

Also, if you attend the DisMeet, you can tell most of us there, though ultimately your suggestion will likely be the best catch-all...

And as to the question on the DisMeet, adults, kids, your dog, your cabin steward, etc., whomever, is welcome.

For those of you still online, we changed some of the "attendees" in our stateroom. We now have only 2 girls (not 3) age 5 and 7, and 3 adults...we decided it would be better to not be outnumbered by kids :-)

So, this trip is all girls - 3 generations! My mom (Dale), sister (Lisa), and me (Holli), niece (Kyla 7) and daughter (Kennedy 5). Hope to see you all and looking forward to the goodies!!

Hey everyone! I'm soooo looking forward to this vacation. My son has been asking about it. I've bought sooo many things just to be prepared and.....my husband on Saturday at my niece's 1st bday decided he wanted to be one of the kids and was doing somersaults off an inflatable waterslide and injured his neck. He got an MRI done last night and he has a C5-6 herniated disk. Just what we need!!!!! We are hoping the pain meds will be sufficient if not tomorow he will see a pain management doctor and possibly get some sort of shot. My son also started to feel sick today. Is this a sign that we shouldn't go??? Oh boy! I'm going no matter what. Please send prayers and positive vibes our way. We should be heading up from Miami on Saturday and we'll see everyone onboard. :)

Our DD was crying as we left the gangway :sad1: As you can see from my new ticker, we did re-book on board for next year. Hopefully, in the fall or next winter we can book a quick 4 day in between.....we'll see!

Anyways, I just wanted to THANK everyone for the FE gifts. It was so fun! What a blast! Our DD LOVED checking it and also loved passing out the gifts. We got some great stuff!

I figured they might have come from you since you are from Cincy & I saw the label on the cookie was from West Chester. I consider myself a "foodie," especially with desserts/baked goods. I am a from scratch cook/baker (although, I am not into decorating...), as I learned from my Mom. I can tell you those are single-handedly the best cookies I have ever tasted! They put Cheryl & Co. to shame (lol)! Seriously, I went to her website and I am going to e-mail her to let her know how appreciated they were. Delicious!!! Wonder if she ships!! What a GREAT idea...........

I know what you mean about the cruise.....had I been smart, when they released FL resident rates, instead of taking the refund, I should've booked a 5-night Key West and done B2B cruises!! We booked a 7 night, but it's 14 months away! I'd love to book a 4-nighter in between this past one and the next one, but we'll see. Perhaps they will release FL resident rates again! Anything to get us to the Gold level of the Castaway Club!
