Rose, I have to comment on the pic you posted a little bit ago, the one where you and Mark and June are drinking the little green shots (forgot the name)...Rob got an ear full from me that night. I fussed at him saying, the next time somebody invites you to join them in a drink, even if you may not like it, you better drink up, buddy. I was a little peeved at him and thought it was rude of him not to drink along. Well, after I raved a little bit, he told me, "I thought they were just asking if I ever had had the drink before. Mark was across the table from me, so I couldn't hear everything he was saying." :rotfl: Rob has hearing loss, so I should have known that I should have been relaying everything to him that night... So anyway, he wasn't being rude, just deaf.:rotfl:

Trees now finished - took me ages this year, I did the hallway and bannister this morning. I'm not putting up the dining room tree this year, so I'm almost done.

We have the Round Table Santa run tonight - 3 hours trudging the streets in the freezing cold:rolleyes:... its for a good cause so I shouldnt moan:upsidedow

All thats left then is to wrap the prezzies! .... and eat:rolleyes1

Hi gang! Tommy and I have just started recovering from a good old fashioned colds. They are worse than I remembered them. I am studing for a CEBS exam that I am taking on 12/23. What was I thinking. :scared1: I miss all of you and I am not able to get on the boards as much as I would like. I am trying to catch up. I hope everyone has a great day! My very very very first cruise was on the Ecstasy with my sister her stepson and my son, out of LA doing Catalina :) and Ensenada :sad2:. I'll never forget going into our inside stateroom and getting all excited cause there were curtains in there thinking it was a window. Opened it up and there was a wall. My sister and I just laughed and laughed. That was 7.5 years ago.
Carnival isn't horrible, but it definately isn't Disney, which we did the year after with her DD and SDD. But the price is definately right.
Sean would love to go to Chichen Itza, hoping someday we will get to see it.

My very very very first cruise was on the Ecstasy with my sister her stepson and my son, out of LA doing Catalina :) and Ensenada :sad2:. I'll never forget going into our inside stateroom and getting all excited cause there were curtains in there thinking it was a window. Opened it up and there was a wall. My sister and I just laughed and laughed. That was 7.5 years ago.
Carnival isn't horrible, but it definately isn't Disney, which we did the year after with her DD and SDD. But the price is definately right.
Sean would love to go to Chichen Itza, hoping someday we will get to see it.

Ecstasy was just refurbished. Reminded us of Las Vegas lights/clubs/entertainment/gambling.

Trip advisor recommends - Uxmal, but that excursion was cancelled due to lack of interest. Even our tour guide, a Mayan decendant, stated that Uxmal has better preserved ruins....Didn't like the locals hawking goods every step of the tour... :)

Tried not comparing Disney to Carnival, but rated C a 7.5 and Disney a 10 on all aspects of cruising. :confused3

Saved money by riding the bus to/from the ship terminal at Galveston, TX. :goodvibes

Hello all!

I've been away for a while (figuratively speaking) so I'm still catching up but I thought I'd say hello.

Real life (post cruise) has been very hectic. I've had a change in jobs at work(different department, but I still have a job so I'm not complaining!). I am still working with the Dr. and the school system to get Thomas what he needs at school.

I have been wistfully looking at my cruise pics lately....it was a great trip. I can't believe it's over. I'm going to be planning a big trip to WDW in 2011, but it won't be nearly as fun to plan without my BOB buddies!

Evening all......Tree is up and dressed. Christmas has arrived in Surrey. Mr Grumpy helped me with only the occasional bah humbug, when the lights wouldn't work.

Presents have been wrapped and put under the tree ready to be distributed.

Rick and I attended the annual Dog Walkers Christmas get together on Friday (just 8 of us) :rotfl2: and we don't have a dog!:rotfl2:

Yesterday had dinner with my niece and her fiance. It was his birthday on Thursday, so we had a lovely evening with them.

:santa:Today, it was time to pretty up the house ready for Christmas.:santa:

Tomorrow, we're taking Mum :hug: to the Crematorium to put some flowers for Dad and then off to have a spot of lunch.

Tommy is in Ft Wayne In this week so I am home with the dogs. I have to take a certification exam in two weeks that I have to start studying. Megan and i went to see New Moon. It was great!!!! Darn that Delta airlines, spent the night in Atlanta instead od visiting with my frinds in Maine, I will yry to post some snow pictures later, it was fun for us Florida people father of the bride made snow angels in his tux and a friend of the groom in his Air force dress blues. We brought jeans to change into since we still had some shopping to do.

We saw George Bush the first house, Kennebunkport is a very cute town. Shopped in Kittery and drove around a little to see thier beaches and of course stopped for Lobster two for 13.99-amazing!!

Right about Tracy - I'm glad she didn't win as I'm sure most of the other contestants were. They didn't like her very much! Didn't think about Mel Gibson but now that you mention it, yes he does.

we know what you mean Jen. while a lot of the gang will be going off on different adventures, be it the Dream, or Alaska, or the Med cruise, or WDW.....we'll all always know we were all part of one of the best groups of people the Dis has ever known or will know.:wizard::thumbsup2

We've been saying that, too. In fact, I told Matthew that I didn't think any cruise will be able to top this one for the fun... both before in anticipation and during the cruise with all of the great Bobers!

Megan wants anther cruise before she's 14 because of Ocean Quest. But, I think a lot of her fun was the friends she made from our group. I think the kids had as much fun as we did.

So, I'm a little leary of jumping in to another cruise. I don't want it to be a disappointment. (Silly, but true!:))
