What is your favorite resort spot??

I did same question for favorite spot in each park on the parks board, and I was thinking of my favorite resort spot.

While each resort makes me happy, I actually had real tears when we checked into ASSports our last time there in May because I was so happy, I think my favorite spot has to be the lounge area at the Boardwalk Inn. Oh and of course, the lobby at WL, oh and the Poly and yes at the Contemporary when the monorail goes thru...UGH, this is harder than I thought!!

So whats yours.....:D

My favorite spot is sitting on the balcony of a courtyard view room at WL. The view from the "Bears Face" is my favorite.

Well, I haven't seen or stayed at all of the WDW resorts, but so far my favorite resort spot is a glider chair on Parrot Cay (?) at CBR. I wish I were there right now:)

I love the lobby at the Boardwalk but my favorite spot has to be relaxing in one of the large comfy chairs at WL. I love to just sit back with my eyes shut and hear the the music in the background while still being able to hear the water coming from the 'babbling brook' in the lobby. I still fall asleep listening to the sounds of a 'babbling brook' and I always think about sitting in the WL lobby. Very peaceful and relaxing.............

So far (haven't stayed at them all - yet!) my favorite spot was our balcony overlooking the boardwalk (right above the bakery - always smelled great, too). Loved it in the early morning - I'm the early riser of the family so I enjoyed some quiet time watching the boardwalk 'come alive' as the sun rose. We also loved sitting out on Sat night and watching all the 'travelling entertainment' - and people - also gave DS (then 11) the chance to explore and pin trade on his own, as we could always see him from above - ahhhh, what memories!:cool:

Either the Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian or the beach of the Polynesian. I guess its all kind of the same view, just a little more distant and air conditioned at the lounge. ;)

I have two favorites. Walking through the courtyards of the rooms at CBR--I love to shut my eyes, breath in the scent of the plants and look at all the beautiful flowers. I also love to sit on a rocking chair at the porch of YC right off of SAB and listen to the boats blow their horn.

It would have to be the lobby at WL real early in the am before it gets crowded

The lookout over the falls when the sun is coming up over a misty/foggy bay lake and the geyser is going off for the first time.

Man do I miss WL or what. Oh well just 5 months to go !

MOST favorite spot on the Disney Property is on a lounge chair under the two Palm Trees on the beach at the Poly. The view is great the breeze is wonderful and the shade is perfect.

Wow, what about a tough choice. I like:

- sitting in the WL lobby watching "Toy Story"on the TV with my kids and their cousin and my sister
- Sitting on the monorail (trying to memorize what they are saying in Spanish, since I don't speak that language)
- swimming in any of the pools, just relaxing

hmmm...I'm sure I could come up with some more, but I'm too busy looking at the Disney Vacation Video (again) on Home Theater...

Mine is at CBR, by OPR...there is a spot where tons of ducks and birds congregate and I love sitting there and feeding them....this year my 3 nieces (ages 6 (twins) and 2) will be with us and that will make it even more special for me...can't wait....

At the Poly, it is the Tambu Lounge, sitting overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon.

At the Contemporary, it is the Coffee Bar under the esculator

At the Grand Floridian, it is the porch at Narcoosees overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon.

At AKL, it is the trails overlooking the Savannah.

AT WL, it is the porch right off of the Lobby, overlooking the Pool, Guyser, and Bay Lake.

At CBR, it is the Banana Cabana

At PO-R, it is the bridges leading over the Sassagoula to the main area.

At the Beach Club, it is the swings on the beach.

At the Boardwalk, it is the patio seating at Big River Bar and Grille.

The hot tub at WL at about midnight. I'm alone and staring at the back the the resort still all lit up and empty. My tired body, slowly relaxing in the hot, bubbley water.

The pool area of the Poly. I love sitting out on a lawn chair by the beach or near the pool.

And laying out, sun-bathing, at SAB.....oh, i wish i were there now!:D :smooth:

At AKL - waking up early in the morning, going down to Mara and filling up my coffee mug, stopping by the animal viewing area next to the pool to talk to the giraffes, going back thru the AKL lobby and stepping out on one of the side viewing areas to see what animals are up and then going back to my own balcony and sitting there and watching the animals as they wander out in the morning and have my morning talk with the pelicans right outside our balcony and hoping my DW and DD sleep late so I can have the place to myself.

Walking into the lobby and smelling that "Disney smell" I just love the look and feel of the Coronado Lobby

The courtyard and fountain areas in the Casitas, especially at night they are peaceful and beautiful

Lying by the pool listening to the mexican music and sun tanning, hearing the splashing in the pool with a cold (non-alcoholic) drink in hand (tho i sneak sips of mom's margarita, yummy! after all i'm 17 not far from driking age here in ont, 19)

I didn't think of the above spot. That is also a great feeling. There is definitley a smell to Coranado that i only experiance there.:cool:

The GF is my favorite hotel, and I think my VERY favorite spot there (to date anyway) is just sitting on my balcony, looking out .. either early in the morning, or late at night, after a day in the parks. I also just love it when you enter the lobby for the very first time each trip .. inhale deeply and .. it just smells like home!

At AKL, again, sitting on my balcony, morning or night, is my favorite place. Also again, just walking around the lobby, in awe of it!!

At the Contemporary, my favorite spot is definitely the California Grill! Again with the balcony (guess I've got a thing for balconies! LOL) standing out, glass of wine in hand, watching the fireworks go off over the MK .. doesn't get much better than that!

At the Poly .. while I wasn't crazy about the accomodations I had, I have to admit that the hotel grounds *are* pretty. I liked walking through the paths at night, on the way back to the room ... and strolling along the beach there...

I've only stayed at the BWI once, but I really liked it very much, and hope to stay there again soon! There, my favorite spot is probably just sitting on a bench on the boardwalk itself, just doing some people watching ...

At the Yacht Club, I found that sitting on the big rockers, out on the front porch, and just enjoying some wine with friends last November definitely made it a favorite spot for me!

VWL: sitting on the balcony with my DD, eating a bowl of cereal, looking out at the woods first thing in the am.
YC: sitting on the balcony at night, enjoying the lights, sounds, and boats coming & going.
POR: walking through the AB section, holding my DD's hand at night or early in the morning, just enjoying the peace & quiet.

At the Animal Kingdom Lodge - on our balcony, enjoying a cold drink in the late afternoon while they are feeding the animals - I enjoyed this for hours!!!. A close second would be in the hot tub at AKL - a nice, quiet, out-of-the-way location.

#1 Sitting in one of the rocking chairs on the big porch at the Boardwalk Inn overlooking the Boardwalk in the early evening.

#2 Lying in a hammock on the beach at the Polynesian watching the fireworks with no one else around :)

Sitting on the red leather couch in the YC Lobby, taking in the ambience and inhaling the scent of oil used on the hardwood floors...
Like others mentioned before me, sitting on the porch in the rocking chair facing part of SAB, feeling the lukewarm wind breeze thru my hair...
Sitting on my balcony at the YC during a midday break, RESTING... ;)

...so many to choose from....but my current favorite would be Sunset Point at the Poly. Probably b/c last time I was there, my fiance proposed to me :D So I guess it'll always have good memories for us. I envision spending anniversaries watching the Electric Water Pageant pass by the beach. Sigh....
