Hi everyone, I will be attempting my very first dining report. We were at Disney on our honeymoon from Oct. 6 to Oct. 16. The first 3 nights, we were on the DxDP and the last 7 nights we were on the DDP.

Here is a list of the places we ate in order
- Pepper Market (http://http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2311482&highlight=disneymoon)- Tony's Town Square
- Coral Reef
- Le Cellier
- Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House
- Yak n' Yeti
- Whispering Canyon Cafe
- Planet Hollywood
- Ohana
- Artist Palette
- Fulton's Crab House
- Artist Palette
- Backlot Express
- Chefs de France
- The Turf Club
- Crystal Palace
- Pinocchio Village Haus
- 1900 Park Fare
- Artist Palette
- Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre
- Cape May Cafe
- Yak n' Yeti counter service
- Raglan Road
- Artist Palette

There are a couple of snacks along the way also.

Let's just say it was a lot of food and we definitely won't be doing the Deluxe plan again, although I liked the idea of having a sit down lunch and dinner, it was just too much food.

Here is a little background on us. We love eating anything, I am Vicki, a 27 year old claims agent and he is Denis, a 26 year old mechanic. It was his first visit to the world and my second time. I had gone back in 1991 and let's just say it has changed a lot since then.
Here is a picture of the 2 of us at the wedding ceremony

So the first place I will be reviewing is the Pepper Market. Our flight arrived at MCO at 1:07pm. We checked in at CSR at 2:30pm. We first went to find our room to be surprised with an upgrade. We were upgraded to a suite, it was great. After getting settled, we headed to the Pepper Market for a quick lunch.

We both had the ribs, don't mind the half eaten plate.... it took me a little while to remember to take the photo's before eating.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0683.jpg

These were really good. Denis keeps saying they were the best ribs he had on the trip. For desert I had an Oreo Cake and he had a Strawberry Cake

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0685.jpg

Overall we loved the Pepper Market. It's too bad we only stayed there 3 nights because if we had more time, we would have definitely gone back.

Next up.... Tony's Town Square

Congratulations on your wedding, the upgrade to a suite at the CSR (aren't they great?) and so glad you enjoyed Pepper Market. It gets a lot of knocks here, but there are those of us who enjoy it. Can't wait for more reviews.

We both loved the PM, it's too bad we didn't try more there.

Congratulations on your wedding, the upgrade to a suite at the CSR (aren't they great?) and so glad you enjoyed Pepper Market. It gets a lot of knocks here, but there are those of us who enjoy it. Can't wait for more reviews.

Thanks Kat, I had read a lot on the CSR thread before leaving and requested a room in the Casitas. We loved CSR and although it was spread out, we really enjoyed it and I think it made it a lot more quiet.

I can't wait to read more! We are headed to WDW for our honeymoon in December and many of the places you ate at we are planning on too.

All the food was great, hope you have a wonderful honeymoon.

Beautiful wedding picture! I can tell this is going to be a great review!!!! Thanks!!

Thanks, that's just a picture my Dad took. I'm still waiting to get the photographer's pictures.

Joining in. Congrats!!!

Congratulations!!!! Looking forward to more reviews!

Once we finished at the Pepper Market, we headed over to the MK for MNSSHP. We had dinner reservations at Tony's Town Square for 7:55pm. We got there at 7:45pm and were seated by 7:50pm.

I just found this reservation online about a week before we left and wanted to try Tony's, so I booked it. We both loved it.

Since we were on the deluxe plan, we got appetizers. I got the rock shrimp on crostini. It was really good and I ate all of it.
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0732.jpg

Denis ordered a ceasar salad as his appetizer. He said it was good, but he didn't care that it was all hearts of lettuce.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0733.jpg

For my entree I ordered the seafood diavoli, it was very good, but very spicy.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0737.jpg

Denis ordered new york strip steak. He said it was very good. Although with him any steak or ribs are good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0736.jpg

This is where I had the best dessert of the whole trip. I had never eaten creme brulee and didn't even know what it was. But by reading other dining reports everyone mentionned how good the Pistachio creme brulee was, so I had to try it. It was sooo good, the best dessert I've ever eaten.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0739.jpg

Denis had the ice cream bomb. He said it was really good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0738.jpg

Next up, our second day at Epcot with lunch at the Coral Reef and dinner at Le Cellier.

On our second day we were heading to Epcot for ropedrop. Since we were out late the night before because of MNSSHP, we didn't eat breakfast before heading out to EPCOT.
After riding Soarin', we stopped at Sunshine Seasons and used up some snack credits for breakfast.

I had a banana muffin
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0748.jpg

Denis had a blueberry muffin
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0750.jpg

And we both had orange juice
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0752.jpg

The muffins were good, nothing to rave about. It filled the hole in our stomach.

Then for lunch we had an 12:35pm ADR at Coral Reef. We got there a little early at 12:05pm and were seated right away. I also noticed they were accepting walk ups with about a 10 minute wait.

We ordered the appetizer for 2 which consisted of crab cakes (half eaten in the picture), grilled shrimp, BBQ beef skewer and creamy lobster soup. Everything here was really good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0796.jpg

For entrees, I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi, it was my first time eating Mahi Mahi, and I really enjoyed it.
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0801.jpg

Denis had the Trout with a white bean salad. He loved the fish, but didn't care for the salad at all. In fact I remember him saying it tasted like feet.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0799.jpg

For dessert, we both had the Chocolate Wave. This was heavenly. It was sooo good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0802.jpg

For dinner that night, we had an ADR at Le Cellier for 6:05pm. We got there at 5:45 and were seated by 5:50pm.

They started us off with the bread. They were all good, but the pretzel one was the best.
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0807.jpg

For appetizers, I got the mussels. They were alright, but I can make better mussels at home.
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0809.jpg

Denis had the ceasar salad. I took a bite and can honestly say it is the best ceasar salad I ever tasted. It was sooo good. I wanted to trade for my mussels.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0808.jpg

For my entree, I had the filet with cream cheese mashed potatoes instead of the risotto. Thanks to everyone's reviews here for helping me make my choice. It was really good. The cream cheese mashed potatoes were the best potatoes I ever ate.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0811.jpg

Denis had the New York strip with potatoes au gratin. He said it was the best steak he had the whole trip.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0810.jpg

For dessert I had the Chocolate Mousse. In the pictures I had seen, I thought the moose's body was made of chocolate cake. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be actual chocolate mousse. This was very good, but I couldn't finish it all, because I was soo full.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0816.jpg

Denis had the apple tart. He loves apple anything, as you'll see as the review goes on. He says it was really good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0815.jpg

Up next... day 3 with reviews from Donald's Safari Breakfast, lunch at Yak n' Yeti and dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Lesson learned: Do not go get your hair cut and colored and come home hungry and read food reviews. My favorite -- pretzel bread and the filet with cream cheese mashed potatos. Time to go throw a sandwich together. :rotfl2:

Hi everyone,
Our 3rd day was spent at Animal Kingdom. I made reservations at Tusker House for Donald's Safari Breakfast at 8:30am. I was hoping to get an 8:05am reservation, but couldn't.

We got to the bus stop at 7:30am and as soon as we got there, the bus for AK arrived. So we actually got at AK at about 7:55am. So we headed to the Tusker House and we were seated right at 8:00am which turned out great.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/DSC03571.jpg

This was Denis' plate. Since we had lunch and dinner reservations today, we both decided we would only hit the buffet once each. So we each only had one plate.
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0819.jpg

Here was my plate.
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0820.jpg

Then the characters came around and here are a few pictures we took with them.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0821.jpg
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0822.jpg

For lunch we had a 2pm ADR at Yak n' Yeti. At around 12:30pm we were both a little hungry so we stopped by to see if we could get seated earlier. We didn't wait at all and we were seated right away.

For appetizers we shared the egg rolls and the pork pot stickers. Both of these were really good, but the egg rolls were better. They were soo much better than the egg rolls at local chinese places.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0927.jpg

For our entrees, we both had the baby back ribs. These were the best ribs I thought, but Denis still thought the ones at Pepper Market were better.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0928.jpg

For dessert Denis had the Sorbet trio. He had never eaten sorbet and didn't really care for it. He thought it would be more like ice cream.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0929.jpg

I had the fried wontons, these were just as good as everyone had mentionned.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0930.jpg

For dinner, we had a 7:50pm reservation. We got to the Wilderness lodge at around 7:20pm, we were both still full from lunch, so we hung around the lobby and toured the resort until 7:50pm.

For appetizers, we shared the western chips and dip and the barbecue pork spring rolls. The chips and dip were sooo good, we cleaned the whole plate. The spring rolls were good too, but didn't compare to the chips and dip.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0933.jpg
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0934.jpg

We both got milkshakes as our drinks, which was included in the dining plan

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0932.jpg

Denis got the skillet and barely made a dent in it. He got salad to start and then the skillet.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0935.jpg
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0936.jpg

I was too full to even attempt the skillet, although it looked really good. So I decided on the Whiskey Maple Glazed trout. It was really good, better than the trout Denis had at the Coral Reef.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/IMG_0937.jpg

For dessert Denis ordered the Apple Caramel pie and I ordered the Deep-Dish Bourbon Pecan pie. I forgot to take a picture right away, so here is the picture of when we were done with dessert. We barely took 2 bites off each pie.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've been MIA, I was gone on training for work for the last 2 weeks. So I'm ready to resume and finish this report now.

So day 4 started by us checking out of CSR and heading to Downtown Disney. We had lunch at Planet Hollywood before heading to SSR to check in there.

I know this place gets mixed, or even mediocre reviews, but all in all it wasn't bad.

For appetizers I had the parmesan spinach dip. It was just meh... It left a lot to be desired and lacked in taste

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC03877.jpg

Denis had the Potato skins and we both thought they were ok. It was you're normal pub food.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC03876.jpg

For our entrees I had the shrimp alfredo and it was really good. I was pleasantly surprised because the appetizers weren't that great.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC03881.jpg

Denis had the BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger. He thought it was good and loved the size of the burger. It was thick.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC03882.jpg

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC03883.jpg

For desert we got the strawberry cheesecake which serves 2. It was good, but nothing spectacular.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC03884.jpg

Overall we liked Planet Hollywood, but it isn't likely to be a return restaurant on future trips.

After checking at SSR we got ready and went back to DTD and saw La Nouba. It was wonderful, then we headed to the Poly for dinner reservations at Ohana.

I know there are thousands of Ohana pictures out there, but here are a few of ours,

the sauces and salad
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0963.jpg

the pot stickers

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0965.jpg

the wings

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0966.jpg

the veggies

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0968.jpg

our overall table filled with food
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0970.jpg

Our server with the shrimp

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0971.jpg

the bread pudding with a cupcake we got for it being our honeymoon
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0977.jpg

Overall this was our favorite place. We got to see hallowishes from our table and it's nice that they sub-in the music during the fireworks. The entertainment was great, they made us kiss for our cupcake. And the food was soooo good. We will definitely return here.

vikkii19
11-08-2009, 04:52 PM
Day 5 was the Saturday of Columbus day weekend and we decided to head to SeaWorld for the day. We ate breakfast at the Artist Palette, the CS at SSR.

We both had the croissant sandwich with bacon. They weren't bad, normal breakfast food.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0985.jpg

Here are our drinks.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_0986.jpg

We ended up eating lunch at SeaWorld and I don't have a picture of that. Let me just say it wasn't worth taking a picture, the food was awful.

We got back at SSR at around 5pm and headed over to DTD. Our reservation was only for 9:30pm, but went at around 5:30pm and we were seated right away.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1058.jpg

Here is the bread and crackers with crab dip. This was very good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1061.jpg

We decided to share an entree and ordered the calamari. It was really good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1067.jpg

For our entrees I had the Alaskan King Crab Claws. They came with red skin potatos, which I'm not a fan of. So I substituded those for asparagus.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1070.jpg

I had 6 big claws. They were almost the size of my hand

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1072.jpg

Denis had the Alaskan King Crab Legs. These were also really good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1069.jpg

Then our server came out and gave us a complimentary dessert for our honeymoon.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1074.jpg

Let's just say, I'm glad I didn't pay for the cake. It was really dry and probably left overs from the day before. But, besides the cake, the rest was amazing and this will definitely be another place we will return to.

vikkii19
11-08-2009, 05:02 PM
The next day, we didn't have any plans. We slept in and didn't eat breakfast. We headed to the pool at around 10pm and went to the artist palette for lunch at around 1pm. I didn't have my camera so no pictures of lunch.

I had the Chicken and Artichoke Flatbread. It was really good, but I'm not a huge fan of artichokes and there were huge pieces of it. So I just picked them off and then it was really good.

Denis had the Smith Stack. It's basically a big Deli Sandwich stacked with luncheon meat. It didn't really look good, but he said he enjoyed it. I forget what we had for desserts, but I remember there not being any left, so they must have been good.

After lunch we got ready and headed over to DHS to catch Fantasmic that night. We didn't have any reservations for dinner so we went to Backlot Express.

We both had the Double Cheeseburgers which were good, nothing special.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1080.jpg

For dessert I had the marble cheesecake which I found was really good. Although I don't think I've ever had any bad cheesecake.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1084.jpg

Denis had the Strawberry Parfait and he didn't really care for it, but ate it all anyways.

Today was our second day at Epcot and we were going to do the world showcase. We didnt' eat breakfast again today. We slept in until about 10am. Then we headed to Epcot to make our 12pm reservation at Les Chefs de France.

Let's say I was really looking forward to this place and was extremely disappointed. We both thought this was the worst meal of the whole trip.

We both ordered off the Prix fixe menu, which gave us appetizers.

We both got the lobster bisque. I found it was bland compared to the little taste we had at the Coral Reef.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1148.jpg

For my entree I had the Macaroni au Gratin. It wasn't as good as I was expecting. A lot of people on here like it, but I didn't. The macaroni was cooked too much and was mushy.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1151.jpg

Denis had the Croque Monsieur, which is just a fancy name for a grilled cheese sandwich with ham in it. This is one of the few things he didn't finish, and not because he was full, but because he didn't care for it, which is weird because he usually eats anything. Oh and he didn't like the salad either, he said the dressing was awful.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1150.jpg

For dessert I had the creme brulee. I was looking forward to this, but again was disappointed. It wasn't bad, but I guess I had high expectations after the wonderful creme brulee at Tony's. It just wasn't in the same league. The one at Tony's was a thousand times better.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1163.jpg

Denis had the Profiteroles au chocolat and once again he didn't even finish it. The little pastries were sooo dry it made the whole dessert awful. I even had a bite and it was really dry.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1162.jpg

Our whole meal just wasn't up to par with every other place we had been. This was the worst meal we had. The only plus was we got to see Remy.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1159.jpg

We surely won't be returning here.

For dinner we had reservations at 6pm at Teppan Edo. At around 3pm we were done touring the World showcase and we both didn't really want to go back for dinner. So we went back to SSR and I called and cancelled our dinner reservation. We both got ready and went over to the Turf Club, the table service restaurant at SSR.

We both had the New York strip steak topped with crab meat and grain mustard. We both subbed the potatoes for fries. This was really good, I was surprised the steak was as good as it was.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1227.jpg

For dessert I had the New York style Cheesecake. Once again, it was cheesecake, so it was good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1231.jpg

Denis had the apple pie and he said it was good. He cleaned his plate, so it must have been good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1229.jpg

Overall we really liked this place. It's not a restaurant you would go out of your way to go to, but if we stay at SSR again, we might eat here again.

Loving your reviews. I am stuffed just reading about all the food options you had! :) DH and you make a very cute couple.

I thought the moose at LeCellier was cake too! -- thanks for telling me that tidbit. And I was glad to see the pics of 'Ohana. We usually eat at Kona but 'Ohana was the first meal we had in WDW in 2006 and DH and I decided to eat there again. (The menu has changed since 2006 though). Everything looked good and I can't wait. :thumbsup2

Great reviews and pictures! We had a reservation for Tony's that we cancelled when I could get an online reservation for Ohana, which we did not enjoy like you did! We definitely want to try it on our next trip, though.

Oh man do we love Fultons! We ate there a few days before you and DH had the king crab claws, they were humongous! Last year they gave us the chocolate raspberry cake and it was fresh and moist and wonderful but every review since then has been just like yours, very dry and ick.

I did a Chefs lunch in June and it was great, the quiche was excellent but when we went back in Oct for dinner it was horrible, no way would we go back for dinner again,

Love the review, excellent pics! Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the picture of the crab claw on your hand. I've seen lots of pictures of the claws but never realized how BIG they were!!

I'm glad you had a good experience at 'Ohana's. Someday I may have to give them another try.

Thank you!

We both really loved Fulton's and it will have to be a repeat on next trips. The Chocolate Raspberry cake sounds a lot better than the dry chocolate cake.

I've read a lot of good reviews of chefs, don't be turned off just based on our not so good experience. Everyone has different tastes.

Congratulations!!!!!

That's what I'm guessing, because there are more good reviews than bad reviews about the macaroni.

The next morning we had 8:05am reservations at the Crystal Palace. We were seated at 8:00am.

Here was my first plate

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1253.jpg

and this was Denis first plate

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1252.jpg

Here is Denis second plate

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1254.jpg

and here is my second plate. The puffed french toast were sooo good I had to get another one.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1260.jpg

After seeing me eat 2 puffed french toast, Denis decided to take a bite off mine and he couldn't believe how good it was. Usually when I tell him to try something, he doesn't like it. So when I told him to try the french toast he didn't want to. Well he wanted to eat one, but was too full and complained about it for the next 10 minutes. Poor muffin, next time he'll listen to the wife.

The characters then went by, here are a few with them

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1256.jpg

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1259.jpg

Then our server came to our table with a little surprise. A cupcake and a card signed by everyone.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1267.jpg

We toured the MK that morning and at around 2pm we were in fantasyland and decided to go to the Pinocchio village haus.

I had the pepperoni pizza and side salad

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1300.jpg

It was ok. Not terrible, but not great either.

Denis had the chicken nuggets

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1301.jpg

For dessert we both had the strawberry cheesecake

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1303.jpg

again it was ok.

That night we had dinner reservations at 7pm at 1900 Park Fare.

Here was my plate.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1318.jpg

I remember I had ceasar salad, rice, salmon, stir fried beef and some sort of macaroni. Everything was good except the macaroni, I took one bite and left the rest on the plate. I would of loved to get seconds, but I was full

Here is Denis plate, we don't remember everything he had.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1316.jpg

and the strawberry soup

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1317.jpg

I had a taste of the soup and thought it was good. Denis loved it and cleaned the bowl.

Here is Denis plate of dessert

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1324.jpg

and here is mine

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1328.jpg

I don't really remember what was what. The desserts were ok, but a lot of them looked better than they tasted.

So today we had a slight setback. It happened later in the day, so you'll have to read to find out what happened.

Ok so we sarted day 8 with breakfast at the Artist Palette. I had the breakfast flatbread

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1342.jpg

This was really good. I actually had it the next 3 mornings. This is the only picture I took of it, so I won't include it in the next days of reviews.

Denis had the bounty platter.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1340.jpg

He said it was good, his only complaint was that the potatoes weren't cooked enough.

After breakfast, we headed to Hollywood studios for ropedrop. For lunch we had 11:35am reservation at Sci-fi Dine in. We both loved the theme of this restaurant and regardless of the bad reviews it sometimes gets for the food, we both enjoyed the food. It wasn't the greatest, but the atmosphere made up for it.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC04504.jpg

We could get the milkshakes as our drinks, so of course we did. I had the oreo shake.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1367.jpg

It was really good.

Denis had the strawberry shake.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1366.jpg

He said it was really good too.

For our entrees, we both had the ribs. They were ok, there was a lot of fat on them. We had better ribs at Yak n' Yeti and even at the Pepper Market.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1368.jpg

For dessert I had the chocolate peanut butter cake.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1370.jpg

This was soo good. The cake was warm with a light peanut butter center with ice cream on top and nuts.

Denis had the Cheesecake

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1369.jpg

He really liked it especially the caramel corn on it.

Then our server offered to take our picture in our little car.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/DSC04502.jpg

We stayed at DHS until about 7pm, then we took the friendship boats to the Beach club for our 7:35pm dinner at Cape May Cafe.

Here is my first plate

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1393.jpg

I didn't really care for anything on my plate. So I finished it off and went to get some shellfish.

Here is Denis plate.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1392.jpg

He really liked everything on his plate.

Then I went and got a bucket full of snow crab.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1391.jpg

I ate it all, it was soo good.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1398.jpg

Then Denis went for a second plate.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1397.jpg

Then we got a bucket of mussels and clams that we shared

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1394.jpg

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1396.jpg

The mussels and clams were really good.

Then we both had dessert. Here is Denis plate.

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1399.jpg

And here is my plate

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu71/vikkii19/dining/IMG_1401.jpg

I remember the desserts being really good, but I was soo full I couldn't finish them.

Overall, we loved Cape May. This was our favorite buffet of the whole trip.

So you might be wondering what happened. Well if you notice the picture with Denis' desserts, he had his wedding band on, well once we got on the bus to head back to DTD, he noticed he no longer had it on.

Before we got to DTD and headed back to Cape May, it took about an hour. Denis had gone to the bathroom to wash his hands and they were real handtowels you used to wipe your hands. He figured that's where he lost it. He thinks it slipped off when he wiped his hands. When we got back to the restaurant we looked everywhere and Denis went to check the basket, but they had emptied the dirty towels. We spoke to the restaurant manager who took down our information and she was going to check where they brought the towels.

So we headed back to our resort at like 11pm with no ring. Once we got to our room, we had a voicemail from her and they had gone thru everything at textiles and no one found the ring. We filled out a lost and found card at the Beach Club, but I think it's long gone. Oh well, it last about a week and a half.

Oh my!!! I am so sorry to hear about the lost ring! :sad1:

Rings and bathrooms can be a problem - you want to take them off to wipe your hands so it is easy to forget them. Plus your DH wasn't quite used to it yet!

Tell him NEXT time the ring goes in his nose!!!!!!!!! (just teasing)

I'm glad you are taking it in stride - I've been married 24 years and much worse can happen ... plus all the good stuff too!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Cape May Cafe looks awesome! I've heard so many negative reviews, but how can you mess up snow crab legs? As long as they have those and mussels, I would be really happy. :woohoo:

Sorry about DH's ring! This weekend we just purchased DH's 3rd ring:scared1:. This time we got him one that was on sale at Kmart. Not spending the big bucks anymore! We also got it a 1/2 size smaller, hoping that maybe it will stay where it's supposed to this time. :lmao:
