I am planning my next vacation around a 5 day stay at BCV. Right now I am staying 4 nights before BCV at POFQ and 2 nights after at POP, basically Wedneday through the following Sunday. But now I am thinking of changing the POFQ nights to AFTER BCV and MAYBE 1 night at POP before BCV. This would give me 5 days each at BCV and POFQ, Sunday night through Tuesday night.

I'm just not sure. I think too much.

NC B. and I had decided that we will not do value resort on the next trip---too many issues last week (it took 3 rooms to find clean sheets and working a/c...noise levels were pretty bad at times). We decided moderates or better or off-site (such as the Sheraton Vistana).

We hope for cool enough weather to enjoy AK more (too hot last week). I wished that I took more pictures (only did 495 when I usually have closer to 1000 plus).

We want to go back to the GF tea room and skip the sandwiches...order the cones/desserts and pots of tea. We hope to stay at AKV-Kidani, BWV, or BLT for at least 5 nights or stay at CSR (or the other mods) for 7+ nights.

On our trip last month, we spent 1 night @ ASMu, 9 nights @ SSTHV, then 2 more nights @ ASMo. I VERY STRONGLY discourage you from staying @ a value resort after you've stayed in a deluxe. We had a really hard time with it for these reasons:

1. Transportation
2. Noise level
3. Linen quality

Keep in mind that this was our very first experience with the value resorts but it was really hard after staying @ SS (we were spoiled - you will be too after BCV)!

I can totally answer any questions you may have if you need some more advice...just not sure how much you want & don't want to ramble on too much! :rotfl:

I am just trying to make the most efficient use of my vacation time. And my budget. I have stayed at value, moderate and deluxe resorts. So I know what they are like and what the change would be like. So many options, so little time.

I'd work my way up on the hotels. It would be hard to go from BCV to something "lesser" for me.

I agree with Jeff. We stayed at AKV for two weeks on DVC points then went to POP for a week to take advantage of free dining. It was a mess. We won't make that mistake again. If you can, stay at BCV last. Good luck Kim. :thumbsup2

Have you considered renting points?

My time at BCV is rented points, but since the weekend point levels are so high, I am moving to another hotel. After thinking about it, I am going to move back to POFQ. I know it is going down, but it is only 2 nights and I love POFQ. And it gets me close to DTD and a couple of my preferred dining spots. But I will keep a look out for and AP offers for that time, It might get me a decent rate to spend the weekend at BC for the last 3 days.

Thanks for all the advice,
Kim
