Tomorrow, tomorrow....!!!! Are you just going crazy right now???

If I don't get to talk to you before your trip.. Have a safe trip. We can't wait to hear how it goes. Yesterday I announced to my sister that I could pack up my daughter for our trip right now and she wouldn't miss any of the clothes that I pack. She's got so much. Its just her sandals that would have to be put in last. DS18 is leaving tomorrow afternoon to visit his grandparents in Texas... so I have to do some of his laundry. He has a mere fraction of the clothes his sister has. Naturally.

I hope everything goes smoothly and you encounter pixie dust all the way!:hug:

Poor Timon, how's he doing? Is he mad at you? Jack would always act really weird when we got home, like ignoring us almost! He got so mad we left! But then that night in bed, he'd purr and purr so loud!

I miss him already. I went to drive him to the sitter about one hour ago. He complained the whole way in the car. It was breaking my heart. When the young girl put him in his deluxe condo as they call it (lol) he didn't try to bite her or anything. Which comforts me.

Uh-oh....I hope its better by tomorrow!

Well Timon's at the sitter. (Broke my heart, but I know he'll be safe!)

I did the last errands I had to do.

My suitcase is done.

On the menu: I'm going to rest and nap this afternoon. I will shower later. And then come and say goobye to you guys! :)

DF & I went shopping today and bought some things for our vacation in a couple of weeks.. we're going to Barbados, sure it'll be lovely.. but I couldn't help thinking "I wish we were going to Florida" :rotfl:

I'm sure Timon will have a good 'vacation' while you're away.. I used to hate taking our dogs to kennels when we went away, it's heart-breaking... but got to be done! :hug:

In another line of thought. I had started a Michael Jackson portrait and was not happy with the result. Decided that I want to do a head to toe shot. So I'm redoing it. I have a few options. And I wanted your opinion. The background will be black. By I can work with any pic.

Hottest July ever. Over 100F to 108F the whole trip.

Worst sunburn ever. Literally burned.

Off Topic

Question for the techno people here. A few years ago, I had a DVD player that came with speakers and a small subwoofer. When the DVD stopped working, I threw it out but kept the speakers.

Is it worth buying a new receiver? Or should I go with a receiver/speakers set?

As for the speakers question - if the speakers are fine, financially it will probably be better to just get a receiver and use your current speakers. But, if you find a great deal you could always get the combo and then sell your speakers.

Well guys, today brought 1 good news, and 1 bad news.

Bad news first. And I'm really upset. Well one or more students stole my mini ipod. I always bring my mini ipod and plug it into the radio. I stopped the music at 10:33. Told the kids to clean up. The bell rang at 10:40. I made sure all the tables were clean and when I came back it was gone. We looked and never found it.

Good news. I received a letter from the Florida department of education and I'm eligible to teach woohoo

That is great news about Florida. I checked... and as we freeze our butts off... its 68 in Orlando ad 70 on the Kennedy Launch site (which is right near my son's college). :beach:

Anyway, so what did you do to get this letter? What's your next step? Looking for jobs or apply to the board directly and hope if they find a place for you, you get an interview??

I went on the FLDOE.org site.

I think I have to apply to schools. I can have a temporary certificate if the school proves they want to hire me, that I get a visa, and that I get my fingerprints taken in Florida.
