Do I have a good chance of getting seated when the restaurant first opens, when my ADR is only 5 to 30 minutes or so after it opens? Any experience?

Obviously, few people will be finished by the time of my ADR, so I'm guessing I'll have to wait a long time to be seated.... or if I do arrive when it opens, I'll get the spot for someone who doesn't show.

Thanks for sharing your tips on this. Here's the ADRs I'm thinking about.

California Grill ADR 5:55pm
Restaurant opens 5:30pm
***also thinking about going to the halloween party this night - I guess we would not get out of CGrill until about 7:30 so we would be a little late for the party. We have a 4 yr old so we won't linger much at the meal.

Narcoosees ADR 5:45pm
Restaurant opens 5:30pm

Tusker House Character Breakfast ADR 8:15am
Restaurant opens 8:00am

1900 Park Fare Breakfast ADR 8:30am
Restaurant opens 8:00am

Ohana's Breakfast ADR 8:10am
Restaurant opens 7:30am

The only experience I have is a 7:45 breakfast reservation at Boma. We were seated right and there were lots of open tables. :)

I think you will be seated on time. The only one I would think might be a problem is 'Ohana. On our recent trip, we were waiting for our ADRs at Kona at 7:50 and it looked like 'Ohana was already getting behind. There were tons of people waiting to be seated. Now, I don't how many were walk-ups waiting to get a table or what. I will say, we did 'Ohana a few days later. We had an 8:00 ADR and were seated by 8:10, so, that wasn't too bad. One odd thing was that while we were eating about 1/3 of the tables remained empty despite plenty of people waiting to be seated. I guessed that tables were being held for no-shows, but that's just a guess.
