It’s a “Wonder” I survived Trip Report: Day 3 – Shopping & Raglan Road….

Me – Disney obsessed, Shopaholic & extremely clumsy.....

10th September 2009 = Day 3

I woke at 8.30am, today we had planned to go to Kennedy Space Center however my ankle had really swollen up overnight so Lee suggested maybe to stay local and do some shopping…..no need to convince me!!!!! :laughing:

We headed over to Prime Outlets around 10.30am. Looked in loads of shops but only bought a few bits in the Disney Outlet and lots of lovely smellies in Bath & Body Works. We stopped in the food court for some lunch and opted for Five Guys burgers, I had heard them mentioned on the DIS Unplugged podcast and wanted to try one as they described them as the best burger in town……..well we both agreed! It was yummy! Not so keen on the fries but the burger was delish! (They also have one in the Florida Mall too so if your nearby I definitely recommend stopping by.)

We headed back to OKW about 2pm and I chilled for a while with some cold flannels on my ankle. About 4.30pm we had a wander around the resort to take some photos.

Olivia's - The only sit down restaurant at the resort, we didn’t eat here as the menu is quite limited.

We got the boat over to Downtown Disney, I headed straight for World of Disney and bought lots of things which we had shipped to resort. :cool1:

Afterwards we stopped off for a drink at Ghirardelli’s, Lee had a coke and I had a coke float. We had a look in the pin trading hut and I traded a couple of pins (my first time at trading) and bought a few too. ;)


We had an adr for Raglan Road at 7pm so we headed over.

We both decided on the Keen eye for the Shepherds Pie…..which was lovely.

I had a raspberry pavlova (which isn’t on the online menu’s :confused: ) it was so scrummy:

It was our first time here and we both really enjoyed it. Whilst we were eating they had live music - it was a family of 8: the dad and his seven children, the two smallest one’s got up on the table in the center of the restaurant and did some Irish dancing. They were soooo cute and very good.


The cost was 1 x table service credit each + tip. I was desperate to try some of the lovely cocktails but was so dosed up on pain killers and antihistamine tablets. :sad:


We had a little walk up and around West Side then got the boat back to OKW about 10pm. I was in a lot of pain and hoped that a good night’s sleep would do the trick. :wizard:

Thanks Nat, I was determined after our illness throughout the whole of our December trip that we were going to make the most of this holiday as we aren't planning on going back for a few years.

Oh no your ankle seems to be getting worse not better :sad2:,such a shame about KSC.
Although swollen and in pain you still managed quite a fair bit.Love Lee+the hats again-Emily bought the stitch hat+hands,she looks so funny in them :rotfl:.

Just browsed your photos of OKW to show DH - we're staying here en famille in October for the first time...
