Should we do an AKL Suite [Archive] - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hi all,

Question for all the AKL experts. I have 2 savannah rooms booked for my DH, myself, 4 kids and Mother in law. Someone mentioned AKL has suites.

Would I be better off in a suite rather than 2 rooms? And are there specials on the suites? I've never heard any. I'm planning on buying an AP since we will be there for 10 days, so this might help.

I called last week to see how much a suite would cost. I thought I read on the boards that the rate for AKL suites weren't that bad. We are doing a concierge room and I thought well maybe for 2 nights we will splurge and do a suite. When the gal at CRO told me a one bedroom was going to be $700 I said no thank you:D I will keep my $300 concierge room and be happy. I did ask about AP discounts since I was getting a discounted concierge room and she said that the suites aren't discounted. I was wondering if you ask for an upgrade to a suite when you check in, if you would be able to then get a discount?
