Hi! everybody!

I was just wondering, let say I rent points from a dvc member and he makes me a reservation for november 2010. I then want to add on the dining plan .If the ddp is free for those dates will i be able to take advantage of it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, the Dining Plan may be added for DVC stays. It needs to be added in advance but is paid for at check-in.

Enjoy! :)

You cannot get the dining plan for free when staying on points. You need to purchase a package from Disney to get free dining. A points stay is not part of a package.

No. "Free" Dining is only available when you book a package through Disney (not DVC and not a DVC member). The package must include a rack-rate room and passes for at least one day in order to get the "Free" dining.

By renting from a DVC member you are getting the room at far less than rack rates. Even if you were to pay for the Dining Plan you would still come out ahead of booking that same room at rack rates through Disney.

As Doc says, you can always purchase the dining plan, but you cannot take advantage of the free dining if it is offered.
