hi, my DSis is planning a driving trip starting from the Grand Canyon, driving to Monument Valley, and then going to Vegas. I would like info as to what to do, and where to eat/stay along the way, TIA!

Will you be at the South Rim? Or the North Rim?
Camping, or do you need to stay in hotels?

Just outside the Park on the south side there are a number of hotels.
That would be cheaper than staying at the lodge inside the park.
hotels.com lists 4 of them (http://www.hotels.com/processIndexSearch.do;jsessionid=36F30B92D351CD390 32EF02AF97339AF.appho03tc05?searchType=point&destination=usertyped&fromNewSearchPage=true&acDestinationId=&acDestinationType=4&lat=36.06497302651405&lon=-112.11756460368633&pointName=South+Rim-Grand+Canyon%2C+AZ&usertypedcity=South+Rim-Grand+Canyon%2C+AZ&trackType=VE&userEnteredDestination=south+rim+grand+canyon+ariz ona&defaultLandingPageUserType=&checkIn=11%2F9%2F2009&checkOut=11%2F11%2F2009&CIMonth=11&CIDay=9&CIYear=2009&COMonth=11&CODay=11&COYear=2009&numrooms=1&adults%5B0%5D=2&child%5B0%5D=0&refined=true)
They are pretty close to the Canyon.
I'm not sure it would be worth staying anywhere between the Canyon and Vegas, it's a one day drive. Unless they wanted to see something out of the way.
