Ugh, still not good for dates I'm looking for. Is it a PIN like regular folks get, or is it one that is distributed by VISA? Or is it like a Disney VISA special?

Got this one too! I can't use it either. :sad2: It is from Chase Visa. The code is for Disney Visa cardholders only. It is not a pin but rather a code. The code is OIZ.
Sometimes they do put these out to Visa holders to see if there is any response before offering them to the public. So there is hope for everyone else out there.

Yay! I was able to save with this code for our Feb trip. On the phone now though cause I think they didn't give me exactly the right price. So are I've saved $175 over my AAA rate, so I'll still be happy even if I don't get any more off. Gotta love codes!!!

I was able to book FW cabins 1/4-1/12 including the marathon dates. I called once and they offered me OKW not any cabins but when I called back I was able to book the cabins for all my needed nights. Got lucky on the 2nd call. :thumbsup2
I cancelled my 3/4 package for this as it will save me about $100. ( I can buy park tix at SOG or local base so I didn't need the ticket package.) I am very happy.

The first guy had switched my room to water view, so once I called back and switched it to a std, I saved $344 over my AAA rate for two rooms at POR for 5 nights. Great deal! And better yet, it all comes before the Oct 27th dining delima. Now I'm positive which resort I'll be at and can make my ADR's.
Oh happy day today!

I currently have package booked 1/20/2010 - 1/25/2010 through Sports Travel Division. I called to see if I could get better deal with 40% Room Only. The CM was able to apply a discount to a value resort....she quoted me a rate of $57 per night, but was not able to add tickets or dining to a value package. This would not save me any money unfortunately. Tickets and dining could, however, be added to a room only discount for a Mod and up.

Sorry, I knew that. I meant to say to add dining to a room only code (we are AP holders and don't need the 1 day ticket). Since one of the discounts is an AP pin I didn't know if there is a ticket purchase required. I assume so with the Visa code.

You know, things that kids never want to do!:rotfl: He then said maybe we could do a short trip for my 40th b-day in Feb. 40% off for my 40th--that sounds like it was meant to be.:goodvibes

DD & I both have Disney Visas and we haven't received any e-mails yet. We are booked in value resorts in January. The Disney Visa website only says 40% off Mod & Deluxes. It doesn't show a deal for value resorts. Are the 30% off values something you received an e-mail code for or was it a Disney Visa code? It would reduce our cost if we could use it, but we don't want to upgrade to a mod. and get the 40%.
Hmmm... I did not get any emails about this and I have a Disney Visa. Oh well, it doesn't quite cover my dates anyway.
Are all these dates value season? I go the week after Pres. Week and that is peak season. I am booked at CSR with the 4/3 so far.

If you have the Visa, call and check, because yesterday when I was on the phone the CM kept saying Jan.3 - Feb.12. I'm not sure if they are showing the blackout dates or not. I was hoping I could get it on our March ressie, but had no luck. ;)

We are in the same situation as you are--Value resort in January (1/19 - 1/25). We actually have 2 adjoining rooms at the POP reserved.
I called last night to see if there was anything they could do for us and he said he could not apply the new Disney Visa code because it's only for Mods and Deluxes. I then casually mentioned that I think I might have received an email with a different offer for Values. He took less than one minute and applied a 30% discount to both of our rooms! The rate is now $57.40 for weekday and $64.40 for weekend.
I specifically asked if that offer he applied was from an email I received and he said yes. However, I never received the email (even checked Spam folder) so not sure how that happened, but I'll take it!!!

I did not run the numbers on your exact situation but wanted to say that others have posted on this board that the 4/3 deal gives you a 43% discount on the rooms for mod and deluxe, as well as a small savings (something like $9) per ticket. So if the room only codes are 40% off I guess it wouldn't really be a savings?:confused3 Just passing on what I read.

EXCEPT!!!
IF you are booked for more than 7 nights it might be a better deal to go with the 40% since you are paying rack rate for 1 night extra. It figured out to be a better deal to use the 40% for 9 nights. It really depends on the prices of your nights (because of holidays or weekend rates).

That is exactly what happened to me :) We are staying 9 nights at the French Quarter :cloud9: and it comes out to be cheaper doing the 35% off pin code room rate as opposed to the 4/3 deal :goodvibes I almost fell over when the CM told me the price :yay: With 9 nights at the French Quarter and two 9 day park hopper tickets, it was $3 cheaper than just the rack rate room only price :rotfl2: Now if Southwest fares will just come down we will be all set

You would probably have to apply, get approval and then pay a deposit with the Disney Visa to be able to use it now. I know my DD & DSIL (who have fabulous credit) applied and it took a few days for her to receive an answer. It may be because she applied on a Sunday, but I was surprised she didn't get an immediate approval.

You could also book a second reservation at 40% off for the extra night and they'll note that the two are together so you'll not have to check out/check in or anything like that for the last day. Plus, the dining plan is good until midnight "at the date of checkout", which would carry into the extra day until midnight. Thus, the only thing that wouldn't be covered in the dining plan is breakfast the last day.

I would have said no, but I called up and asked if I could a different card for the deposit and was told no problem, even after the agent checked with guest services. Also, it occurred to me after I hung up that I was never even asked for proof that I have a Disney Visa card. And, I've never even used one at or with Disney before. Thus, it seems like anyone can use this promo. (Note: I DO have a Disney Visa card, so perhaps they verified it through some other means. I'm still surprised they let me use a different card for the deposit though.)

I don't think that the 40% will apply to you. I also have a trip planned for Jan. with the premium plan. I have a Disney Visa card and called to apply the 40% discount to the room part of my reservation and the CM said he couldn't do it. He said that I would have to cancel my reservation and rebook room only to get the 40% off. He said that I could then add the regular or deluxe dining plan but I couldn't add the premium plan.

I was told that the 1 night deposit had to be on the Disney Visa card. I had a previous reservation at the AAA rate, and I called to ask them to apply the code. They wouldn't transfer the deposit over until I proved to them that it was on the Disney Visa Card.

That's smart thinking ,I do this quite often and then my DML pays her own balance when we arrive but I could easily do this and score more points for next time -:thumbsup2

If you're using the Disney Visa Pin you have to pay with it. That's how you qualify for the PIN. Call and ask to be sure. We had to to get any Disney Visa benefit.
As I said above, I did use the Disney Visa to book the rooms and pay the deposit so we would qualify for the discount. I actually paid about half of the cost of the rooms instead of one night since we were transferring deposits from a previous reservation at AAA rate.
My question is, when we get there can our friends pay their balance however they want to?

I have a question that I hope someone here can answer. We've booked our trip back in Sept for Dec 28-Jan6. Paid the deposit with my Disney Visa, and intend to put the balance on it as well (full payment due in like two weeks). Can I use the code for the days that overlap with the promo? Or does one's entire package have to conform to the allotted dates?

You might be able to add the discount code to the days it includes. You will end up with 2 reservations though. You will have one for the first few days and one with the Visa Discount. I would call now. Do you have some type of package that it is due in 2 weeks? The room only portion will have to be paid when you arrive. Last year we did this and had 2 reservations because the AP discount codes were actually 2 different codes for our dates. They do say you may have to change rooms, we didn't have to.

Ok. Thanks. This it what I assumed, I just wasn't sure.

Seeing as we have the room, dining plan, and park tickets, I'd rather just pay it (or charge it!!!!) all in full so I won't have to worry about it later.

Actually, now that you mention this, I believe we had a similar situation a few years ago when we drove and arrived a day early. We were able to buy the extra day (considered a separate reservation) and they allowed us to stay in the same room when our "real" vacation began.
I think I'll call Disney and see what they say.
Thanks for the help!:thumbsup2

We got the Disney Visa pin and were able to get a great rate at POFQ for our MLK weekend mom & dad getaway. I would like to take the kids down over February vacation. I see that the ending date for the Visa pin is 2/11. If we checked in on 2/10 would we get the discounted rate for our entire stay?
