Hello my name is John and I'm addicted to Disney Pins :guilty: lol

So I'm on these boards just about 24/7 and I'm trying to find out as much as I can about Disney and I keep reading about the trading pins. So I check out the websites and now I'm addicted. I'm afraid I'm gonna blow our trip money on the pins alone lol :rotfl2:

I've bought 4 pins so far for myself and 2 for my DGF from ebay. I'm going with the Stitch theme for my pins because he just recently became my favorite Disney character when I saw the movie about 2 weeks ago. And my DGF really likes the flip flop and cell phone pins and anything Eeyore or Tinker Bell.

Here's the 4 I'm getting so far with about a hundred more in my watching list on ebay.

Cute Stitch pins!! My DD9 collects Stitch, she has some really really cute ones. Enjoy your new obsession...and yes, it's very easy to spend all your money on pins/trading! LOL

It sounds like it's too late to tell you to run in the opposite direction, so welcome to Pinaholics. There is no 12 step program and we don't want one!

Look out, there are TONS of Stitch pins. If you haven't been to pinpics, it's a database us collectors have been putting together of all the Disney pins. Right now, I think the number is up around 73,400. Do a search on Stitch and then you can see all the Stitch pins we are aware of out there for you to collect.

Have fun!!!

Thanks guys, yes I think I will enjoy my healthy addiction lol :lmao:

Oh yeah, I've been to pinpics. I looked up Stitch and went

I told myself I would only get 10 pins before we go to Disney next May, but who knows if I'll stick to it.

I got my first 3 pins in the mail yesterday! It was the Indy and ToT Stitch and I also forgot I bought the pin where Stitch is dressed like Beast and dancing with Belle. I'll post pics soon.

I missed out on a great one last night of Stitch in his pineapple box reading the Ugly Duckling because I got distracted by a phone call from my mom lol .:headache:

My DW's favorite Stitch pin is him with a plunger on his head. I think the caption says, "One of those days!"

Yes, I really like that pin too. I'm keeping an eye out for it on ebay.

These are the 4 that I recently got in the mail. They are so awesome, too bad I don't have a lanyard yet to display them. Right now they are in a Disney tin I bought at Target.

LOL! I'm pretty new to the pin trading thing too!:rotfl2: I'm hooked though! I started before our last trip (Sept. this year)... thanks for reminding me, we're going back in Dec. and I need to find some Christmas pins on Feebay!!:rotfl: Welcome to pin trading!! It's loads of fun!!:love: April

Be careful when walking around with your pins on a lanyard. They have a tendency to fall off without your knowledge, then you've lost the pin! There are locking backs, but even they are not 100% reliable.

Awesome, thank you! Happy hunting on Feebay lol. It's always fun for me to look at the different pins for sell especially when I'm bored in class. There are definitely some deals especially when bidding but sometimes I get too competitive and spend a little more than I wanted to just to beat someone else's bid. :rotfl:

Yeah I definitely won't be wearing my good ones till I get the locking backs. I've read some of the horror stories on here. :sad2:

I should ask DD9 if she has extra Stitch pins for you, she has one that has Stitch w/a cowboy hat, she gets asked all the time to trade that one. She loves it tho so she won't do it. I think she finally took it off her lanyard. LOL

For Christmas I'm going to make the girls both cork boards, I'm going to decorate them with their favorite characters so they can put some pins on display that way. :)

Oh, they make locking backs??!! Where have I been??:lmao::banana: Yes, I was at Disney back in Sept. and thought I had lost one of my FAVE Dumbo pins (it's body moves! It's so cute!) I was so sad, but when I got back to our room; I found it in my bra!:rotfl2: I was so happy! I need to find those locking backs! Thanks for posting this!:thumbsup2;)

Awesome! Yeah I don't know if I'll be doing any trading quite yet, right now I'm enjoying the collecting. I might get a lot of pins before we go on our trip to do some trading, mainly with CM's. I found some pretty good lots on ebay with legit pins thanks to the Good seller/Bad seller thread.

Aww you're too sweet, thanks. I think I've seen that pin too, it's really cute and funny and it's perfect because I'm from TX. Don't worry I won't ask your DD for it though lol. Plus I don't have any pins yet that I want to trade. They're all really special to me in there own unique way.

Yeah that would be a really good idea for the pins that I don't want to wear but still want to look at them easily. :wizard:

Yeah I just found this out too on another thread (forgot which one). Here's the link to the ones they sell on disneystore.com:

I've also seen them on ebay. I'm glad you found your pin! That's funny where you found it though :rotfl:

Some more that I won on ebay and will be getting soon!

I love this one because that's exactly how my dog sits sometimes and also we adopted him so it's double special :teacher:

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/pin24047.jpg
This one is also great because I like to read a lot in bed and Stitch looks cute and innocent there.

http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/pin24083.jpg
Finally, I liked this one too because I wanted on with Lilo kissing Stitch (it's a funny image) and also because that's how I get when pretty girls kiss me :love2::blush:

Be afraid. Be very afraid. ;) :lmao:

Don't follow my example. I am (finally) putting away pins that have been piling up, and started to realize I have probably a year's worth to stash away. :sad2:

I have the Stitch Adopt a Pet pin. One of my favorites. Definitely of Stitch. :thumbsup2

You are best finding a theme a sticking to it.

When I started collecting I only collected the pins I liked. Problem was, I liked almost all of them.

The locking pin backs work great. I don't use them often. I have one peacock lanyard with PI/CW/AC pins. And those are locked on tight! Someone would have to pry them from my cold dead hands. :rotfl:

Great! I heard that the locking backs aren't a 100% secure but I think I'll pretty safe with them, at least a lot safer than the regular mickey head backs.

LOL thanks for the warning :thumbsup2

I was gonna limit myself to 5 before Christmas but now I'm hoping to limit myself to 15 :rotfl:

Yes the adopt a pet Stitch is probably my favorite and I got it at a very good price :goodvibes

Yeah ever since Stitch became my new favorite Disney character I knew that I wanted to collect his pins exclusively. And each pin has something to do with my likes, hobbies, and personality. So that keeps my pin searches a little more focused. My DGF is a little more all over the place than I am, she likes Eeyore and Tinker Bell. Right now though she likes the cell phone and flip flop pins and will stick with trying to get those till after Christmas.

Thanks for posting the link! Love those pins you purchased!:lovestruc

I think I could safely agree with the To Infinity and Beyond sentiment. LOL

OP, to clarify, the pins that I've got locked onto my lanyards (I have 1 that I just really like to wear and 1 that's all pirates) have been locked on for about 2 years now. Prior to that I would occasionally have one fall off but I never lost one completely. The locking backs are metal tho, they do add weight to your lanyard, just something to keep in mind. :)

Ok, so I finally have some time to myself to upload the pictures of my latest pin.

First is the Adopt a Pet Stitch pin that I posted a pic earlier. I got in and I absolutely love it. It's pretty big and it's made of a really nice black metal.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09023.jpg

Next is Stitch getting into some paints. I like this one because I like to be creative sometimes but I don't always know what I'm doing lol.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09030.jpg

Here's Stitch reading in his pineapple box bed lol. I like the expression on his face and I also like to read.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09041.jpg

This is Stitch in his golden Mickey ears. I love Disney World so I thought this one would be a good symbol of that plus I like Stitch's mischievous thinking expression.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09019.jpg

Stitch in bed while Lilo is trying to wake him up. This pin is HUGE, I was not expecting to be so big. I probably won't wear but I love it because I'm not a morning person either lol.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09022.jpg

Stitch in the clouds. I like this one because I like it when it's cloudy outside and I'm not so much a sun person :cloud9:
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09044.jpg

This is from one of my favorites scenes in the movie, he looks so funny in this pin I love it.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09048.jpg

I like this one because Aladdin was my favorite movie when I was a kid. I've never been to Disneyland and I don't know really know about the Hyperion theater but I love how Stitch is dressed as Prince Aladdin and the expression on Jasmine's face. :lovestruc
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09083.jpg

This one is really cool. It's a decoder pin. Apparently there are some signs in Stitch's Great Escape that are written an alien language and you can decode them with this pin. I hope I get to use it next year but for right now I like the way it looks and it's my only Artist's Choice pin.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09010.jpg

I decided to get pin from each of the "Stitch's Adventures" series depicting my favorite rides at each park. I had already bought 3 from the Action Adventures series (posted those earlier), the Tower of Terror is my favorite from those.
Here is Kilimanjaro Safari pin because it's my fave at AK.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09012.jpg

And here's the Space Mountain pin my fave at MK. I'm looking for the Test Track from the Adventures of Discovery series because TT is my fave at Epcot.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09009.jpg

This one is probably my new favorite pin. I wanted to get this one because Tinker Bell is one of my DGF's favorite characters and I wanted to get a pin that represented her in a way. This one is perfect, I love the expressions on both face and the stained glass gives it a really special looks. :wizard:
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09037.jpg

Here's a pic of the lanyard I got for my pins.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09064.jpg

Here's a close up of some of the pins it came with. 8 total!
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09065.jpg

The other two. I gotta figure out how I want to arrange them on there.
http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m218/jaryd_guerrero/11-10-09060.jpg

Thanks for checking out my pins! :stitch:
