Just returned. Used US Airways to and from MCO, didn't have too many problems. Noticed that airport security isn't very tight, weren't asked for photo ID except at the curb and gate.

Rented a car from AVIS. Reserved a Luxury - Cadillac Deville or similar. Well, it was going to be an hour wait for the Deville, so we got a Cadillac Seville SLS instead. It was fine, but we like our STS better (that 300HP engine in ours is much more powerful than the 275 in the SLS). Purchased a tank of gas for I think $1.44 a gallon. Rental process took about 10 minutes (including wait in line, around 10 people ahead). No problems with AVIS.

Cali-

Did you have any discounts w/Avis?

Yes, I used some Avis Worldwide discount or something that was on mousesavers. No problems honoring the rate. Felt Avis is the best of the MCO car rental companies (even National Emerald service - I was SO GLAD to not get a Park Avenue!)

Just checked, our rental rate was around $420.

Welcome Back Cali !! Hope you had a wonderful time! So you liked your rental with Avis, SLS is a nice replacment. No Lincoln Town cars? Where did you stay this trip Cali, I can't remember. We will also be flying USAir in August out of Philly. My husband flies USAir weekly (business) and I have not been on another airline since going to Hawaii. I look forward to hearing more details girl, details!!

They said it would be about a two hour wait for the Towncar, an hour wait for the Deville, or we could have the SLS then. Saw a Deville drive out right as we were walking down our row. All the cars looked nice. Was glad to get the SLS, but the luggage space was kinda tight (expected that 19.1 cubic foot trunk).

Stayed at the Grand Floridian, had a great time (few minor problem with the room).

Had a crazy flight with US Airways (flew through a storm - never made so many twists and turns on a plane in my life! LOL, the pilot announced for the flight attendends to stay seated until he said otherwise).

Here is a code I found for Avis - J945605 - it dropped my price $10.00 a day.
