That even though I'm not gay I'm going to hang out in here with you guys.

You scare me less than the, um, more "passionate" Disney fans.

(Oh and I've been perusing and nary an entitlement issue to be found. And that's my number 1 pet peeve.)

So too bad. You are stuck with a late 20's housewife from Chicago, living in Seattle, who is terrified of the rest of the people on this board.

However, everyone here has been very accepting of my strangeness so far. Now, I am still waiting to see if anyone here recognizes anyone in the picture I posted. I am still curious.

Well come on IN! No reason to stay out there in the cold! :teeth: We have loads of room in here, nice cocktails, yummy snacks and Wally! ::yes:: He's our best entertainment, but there are others. You'll love Rosie, clothed or unclothed as the case may be. Rob has the best wedding thread on any board, never mind just the DIS, and well... there is O'Mike who is Moderator Extraordinare not to mention one wicked barkeep. :teeth: And MM, and Jenn, and well EVERYONE!! I can't spell half their names, but they sure are good folks. ::yes::

So, come on in and join us. We really are a fun bunch! :teeth: :goodvibes

I really like those spinach stuffed puff pastries.

At my BIL's wedding his new wife and I parked it by the martini fountain (which was right next to the kitchen) and commandeered all the spinach pastries and meatballs.

If you are doing it WITH the bride, it isn't rude. (this is what I tell myself so I can sleep at night.)

OK, so I'm NOT the only one who reads over there and thinks that just about every mountain was made out of a molehill?

I get frustrated reading the rest of the board because if one thing goes wrong that is out of the control of just about anyone people's entire vacations seem to be ruined. I mean there's a difference between disappointment and devastation! I guess it's because I think the only thing I'm ENTITLED to at Disney is a clean room, friendly cast members, good rides, and over priced souvenirs. :rotfl2: Everything else that goes my way is a bonus.

Also, I must just walk around completely oblivious to the things that go on around me. Because some of the things that people not just complain about, but are APPALLED by and let ruin their vacations are things that I wouldn't even notice. Or if I DID notice it wouldn't care about because, well, it's none of my business and doesn't effect my life.

Yep PS, that about sums it up. Some of the posts make me wonder how people function in real life. I will say that I have seen a few things that raised my brows at both DL and WDW, the woman wearing high heels that we not spikes, but gold balls. A "lady" on main street in DL who seemed to be working the corner, if you know what I mean. But I don't take a lot of notice of my surroundings, I just want to get to the next ride, next show, or next cold drink.

OM, freeballing? Just watch the zippers!

So, anyone up for dessert? It's homemade vanilla bean cheesecake with white chocolate covered strawberries on top. Takes forever to make, but it is sooooo yummy. I'll just let Wally serve, then you can have your pick...

And I thought panties were only meant to be worn without clothes, when you are dancing.....:confused3 not much of a strip tease without them.:rotfl2:

The top-most layer is vanilla bean whipped cream with white chocolate curls on top. There are actually 3 layers. The second layer is white chocolate mousse. The bottom layer is the vanilla bean cheesecake. I have the recipe if anyone wants it, but be warned- the natural vanilla bean and Godiva white chocolate are expensive and it takes a long time to make.

EVERYONE was invited! It was a virtual shower here on the DIS, hosted by Wally, and crashed by Rosie's goat!

Ooops, my bad. I'm just hoping Rosie's goat is really a goat and NOT a metaphor for something else.

I'm not sure if it was a metaphorical goat or not.

I am soooo going to read it all. I have nothing better to do since I don't work! Let me grab my mini corndogs and tator tots and snuggle up in my blanket and entertain myself.

It may make a lot of references to the Big Fat Gay Disney Wedding thread. That link is in my signature.

Have fun. I frequently had to wipe my monitor off before I learned not to read the Virtual Shower while drinking something. :lmao:

Awww...I missed the shower. I'm sad. I wanted to wear a hat and bring food and join in the festivities! And I'm even sadder now because I have to go to school and can't continue reading until 9pm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you guys should throw me a virtual shower: I dropped a whole mug of coffee this am.....and it shot EVERYWHERE. It was all the time I had to clean up the mess in the kitchen and now I reek of coffee.

Not to mention I haven't showered in days....:rolleyes1

"Not to mention I haven't showered in days.... "

I just have to ask... any particular reason (other than you might be afraid of psychos with knives?)

"Maybe you guys should throw me a virtual shower"

Remember I am new around here. Would this be a baby shower or a wedding shower? I love to plan....

It WAS a virtual wedding shower. For me. Wally started it, and pretty much everyone on our board jumped in at one point or another. Lots of fun. The Big Fat Gay Disney Wedding itself was over a year ago now, but the Virtual Shower thread was kind of epic. (214 pages long).

I miss that thread. It was fun to have a place to just be silly (well . . . sillier than we usuallly are.)

I knew about yours. I have read part of it and plan on reading the rest. I meant for Rosie. She said we could throw her a shower. I was wondering what for.
Thanks for the input. I know this is old by now, but I hope everything is going well for the two of you. And I am just going to ask... which of you is Rob and which is Scott? And do you both post? I am trying to keep everyone straight here. Wait, that really looks wrong. No bashing please. No double entendre meant.

"(After that cheesecake I won't be so little, it will be innocent big me)"

I just caught this. Virtual cheesecake= no calories!!!! The only kind I will allow myself to have. I quit drinking 2 years ago, now since I have seen that I can do that I am on a diet and have started working out. Then when Mr. Right comes along he will like what he sees.
And, I doubt anyone here is innocent. I don't think they would last very long.

Oh. No. Rosie just wants someone to bathe her. Keep in mind that she's kind of like the demented old aunt that walks through your dinner parties naked muttering things about livestock. We keep her around because occasionally her mutterings turn out to be amusing. Don't take her seriously. :lmao:

As to which is Rob and which is Scott. That's simple. I'M Rob. Scott is the other one. :rotfl2:

Honestly, in my avatar, I'm the one in the front. A little shorter, a little heavier, and a lot less hair. Scott is the devastatingly handsome one with the movie star smile and awesome hair.

Scott does post here on the DIS but not nearly as much as I do. He's "MemoToMe". We'll both mention Tolliver from time to time as well. He's our adorable miniature dachshund. He also posts on the DIS from time to time, but I'm not telling what his screen name is. He likes to be anonymous. :teeth:

Like Rob said....just because I'm demented...though I prefer the word eccentric.
