Well you will get a lot of responses on the Universal board for this one..
You can't miss Citywalk then.. its in between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure....
There are a lot of neat restaurants, shops, a stage type thing, places to have a drink, and a movie theater.
There is a parking garage which is FREE after 6 pm. (at least it was on my last trip)

We love City Walk. Lots of great , fun restaurants and shops. Lots of clubs too. Parking is free after 6 and unlike PI there's no cover charge just to walk around and enjoy the outside entertainment. There is a pass (about $9) if you want to club hop but we filled a night easily just wandering around. Last summer we ate at Margaritaville then we walked around and enjoyed the band at the outside stage and browsed at the shops and carts then we watched the firworks from IOA. It was alot of fun.

I rate CW very highly for an adults-only evening out. Lots of good restaurant choice, huge variety of music and quite a lively scene atmosphere-wise. Not as expensive as Pleasure Island, either. The Pointe complex on I-Drive is also pretty good, BTW (especially on Friday and Saturday, when the locals are out in force), with two new nightclubs, some excellent bars/restaurants and the XS entertainment venue (like Gameworks). Lots of food for thought here!
