Does anyone know how long it takes for the "permanent" DVC membership cards to come in the mail?
Do we need these cards for anything other than dining discounts? Where do I see what these dining discounts are?
We are going in about 4 weeks (new members) and am curious.
Thanks.

We just received our blue membership cards (I assume that these are the permanent cards) this Saturday 10/10, just under 2 weeks from our closing date.
The deed and ROFR waiver are all posted online at the FL comptroller's office. I am surprised how fast everything went.
The closing agent was Timeshare Title and More, they were very good.

The membership cards are nice to have in your pocket, but it is unlikely you'll need them. If you don't get them and want them, stop by the sales office at SSR and they'll print them up for you on the spot. I actually have 2 sets now!

You'll need to show your membership cards to pick up your DVC APs. If you don't have them by the time you go, you can get temporary ones at the DVC office at SSR.

We got ours about a month after the deeds were recorded. Not sure how much is true, but we were told that they create the cards in bulk, and will wait until there's a certain amount to create.
Although the "dvc member" logo is on the KTTW cards, they are not valid proof of membership. Renters also have that on their cards.

If you go to the member center at Saratoga Springs, you can get duplicate/original Member cards. When we were there this summer, we swung in to get a temporary card since we left ours at home, but instead received the blue plastic permanent cards like we received after puchase.

The cards can take several weeks. They are processed by a contracted vendor who only prints them when a minimum is reached.

We just got ours I think it was last weekend. I believe you and I both signed up at the LI event. I hope yours come in soon. :)
