Anyone know for sure if Raglan Road and Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney are dining plan restaurants, or not? I have two brochures from Disney, one says yes, the other says no...
Thanks!

as of 2009 yes, they both are. We just used the dining plan at Raglan Road in September.

They are not Disney-owned restaurants so every Fall Disney prints the list of restaurants for the following year's dining plan and from about August-December there will be a list that has none of the non-Disney restaurants on it. The list you have that does not include Raglan Road & Planet Hollywood would probably be one of those lists.

What happens is Disney re-negotiates terms every Fall for the following year and while negotiations are going on (pre-contract) The list of dining plan restaurants will not show the non-Disney restaurants. Once they have all signed, a new brochure will be printed for the new year, and all the non-Disney restaurants that were on the list before reappear.

This does happen every Fall, and it has been years since the last time a non-Disney restaurant decided not to take the Dining Plan.

yes, they currently are included.

We just ate at PH.
We only used our $15 vouchers though...we had 2 of them for having 2 rooms and so we got $30 in free stuff.
You cannot use the Dining Plan credits at the same time as the $15 voucher or any other coupon though.

We just ate at both of those using the DDP. Raglan Road is very nice - loved the live entertainment. Planet Hollywood, I could skip.

They are included in the 2009 Dining Plan. They are not yet listed on the 2010 Dining Plan. They have until December 31st. We are going to book a few places in hopes that they will be added on the list for 2010. There is a list on the Walt Disney World Site and WDWinfo.com under dining.

The first time we ate at RR was during the first free DDP offer. (Sept. 05). Our server mentioned that if it wasn't for the free DDP their restaurant would be dead. Towards the end of the year there was talk that RR wouldn't be taking DDP in 2006. That turned out to not be true and we have gone to RR every year since 05 and used our free DDP. Great food and if you like live music, another plus!

I love the Not Bleeding Chowder and Ger's Bread and Butter Pudding. I get it every time and have not been disappointed. ;)
