We attended the Party for the Senses this weekend, and I think my belly has finally decided to let me divert some blood back to my brain so I can post coherently. OMG, this event was to die for! The one we attended had a Latin American theme, so the dishes all played off that. The party is $135 a head, but think of it like a Victoria and Albert's meal, only so many more courses and you get to pick and choose. I broke down my report into two sections, so you can click here (http://******************/x-2200-Orlando-Theme-Parks-Examiner~y2009m10d12-Party-for-the-Senses-Taking-the-International-Food--Wine-Festival-at-Epcot-to-new-culinary-heights) to read about the event itself or click here (http://******************/x-2200-Orlando-Theme-Parks-Examiner~y2009m10d12-Party-for-the-Senses-food-photos-from-Epcot-International-Food--Wine-Festival-Dont-drool) to go directly to the food porn.

We didn't do the Wine View Lounge add-on (additional $75 per person), and I didn't really feel like it was needed. We got there early enough to get a table, and the wait to get in wasn't too bad. Most of the food stations don't get lines either so you can really have a nice, casual experience. I highly recommend this one...pricey but so well worth it.

Nice review, Barb.

This is the first time since 2003 that I am not doing a PFTS. I might do them again another year, but I am using the bucks to do V&A instead. :)

V&A...mmmmmmm!

This was my first Party for the Senses, and it reminded me of V&A on steroids (with a totally different atmosphere too). I love being able to try so many new things, including some that are out of my comfort zone. I loved being able to talk to the chefs too. Sort of like Chef's Table but even better. Imagine my Hell's Kitchen-loving husband's surprised when he realized he was being handed his BBQ duck slider by season 3 winner Chef Rock himself!

Really enjoyed your review. I would really like to attend a Party for the Senses, but we always decide with DH being vegetarian it just wouldn't be worth the money. May be one day!

Thanks for your review links. Some great photos. I only remember to photograph the food after I've started eating it!! Looked yummy.

It's a shame they don't have an option for vegetarians to just be able to try the accompanying items. One of my favorite overall favorite things was the yucca and hazelnut, which was actually just a side to the dish. Or maybe they could do vegetarian as one of their themes; it might keep some meat and potatoes types, but veggie cuisine is so good when it's done well. My meat and potatoes husband loves the vegetarian options on the Disney cruise ships.

I really wish they'd have an option for those of us who don't drink alcohol. Like a pp we shy away because we don't drink.

Thanks for the review and the pictures.

How many food stations were there?

How many wineries?

Thanks

Ed

According to a quick count in my menu, there were a total of 27 food stations if you count the 2 cheese stations, various dessert stations, and the latte bar and Twinning special teas stations. There were 21 wine stations if you include the Bacardi Rum station and the beer station in that count...the rest were actual wine. That doesn't include the bar and cheese in the extra-cost Wine View lounge area.
