Just heard the sweet words.. "Welcome Home" BLT! Here's my story!

I just wanted to share my happy news with everyone.... we're DVC members at BLT!!!! DH, DS and I were on Vacation in Sept. at the Poly. I noticed the DVC booth in the lobby and I gravitated towards it as soon as it was in my sights!:rotfl: I could tell DH was interested in it as well, so he came over and spoke to the CM. Later that day we were in Frontier Land and I spotted the DVC post AGAIN and walked over to it and started chatting with the rep about it; he was super nice and set up an appointment for DH with a guide for that afternoon. DH went to the tour while I kept DS happy at the MK. DH returned with a sparkle in his eye so I could tell he was very impressed with BLT. I will tell you... DH has a degree in mechanical engineering and now is a pilot for the guard... he's a rather serious person and need I say, not easily impressed, nor persuaded!:lmao: I on the other hand had only seen BLT from the view of the monorail and was ready to sign on the dotted line!:rotfl2: We returned home on the 18th of Sept. with our DVC goodie bag and DH and I continued to look at all of the pics and read the material repeatedly.:rotfl2: I contacted our wondeful rep Dan a week later to get a few details on the dining plan with DVC and he informed me that the price of $112 a point was going up on the 4th of Oct. Well, DH had to take a trip during that week and I had not YET convinced him to take the plunge.... so while DH is flying across the ocean with the U.S. treasurer I call Dan to secure our contract at the $112 price!:rotfl2: Seriously, was that trip more important than my BLT contract???:rotfl2::rotfl: DH returned home and I was so excited, I broke the news to him while he still had his suitcase in hand!:lmao: He was fine with it though (I think he knows me by now:cool1:) so we called Dan to make it official and to put DH's name on the contract as well..... and the rest is history!!!:cheer2: Our paper work is in the mail now!!!:dance3: I can't tell you how many times DH has not decided on something until it was too late and then he was happy that I went ahead and purchased it.. umm this particular time.. I am THRILLED I did not listen to him!!! He is too though!:rotfl2: I feel like a kid in a candy store now!! I am sooooo excited and cannot wait for our next trip to the world!! We just got home tonight from our first trip as DVC at OKW(knew it probably wouldn't be possible to get BLT in less than 4 months from preDVC). We loved going and looking at "our home". Congrats, and Welcome Home! I am a new owner @ BLT, too! My DH surprised me too... He was totally impressed with the flexibilty, possibities for future vacations, with kids and grandkids and trips for just the two of us. He also realized right away that we would need more points, so we got them right then. We have never had even one second of buyer's remorse. We are SO excited to be a part of DVC! Our first trip will be so fun. Sept. 2010, here we come!

LOL! Awwww, thanks so much for being my "first" LOL!:rotfl2: Yeah, I had actually booked us a trip for Dec. 13-19 at POP (I booked this a week after our trip in Sept. and pre-DVC.;)) . I knew that getting ANYTHING DVC at this oint for those dates was going to be VERY hard... The rep. I spoke with today was so nice and found me every day but our first (Dec. 13th) at Saratoga Springs so I was VERY happy! I went ahead and booked SSR for Dec. 14-19 with the dining plan and then canceled our POP ressie except for the 13th. The DVC rep put me on a waitlist for the 13th and since I was given incorrect information yesterday and missed out booking the 13th, she said she put my name on priority for that night. Even so, I'm THRILLED to have gotten anything this late!:banana: Thanks so much for the warm welcome neighbor!! I could'nt believe that I called today and got 6 nights in a studio at SSR for only 76 points!:confused::banana::woohoo:

Congrats! My wife and I started out a few years ago with 160 at SSR. But now we're addicted and have added on twice for a total of 360, AKV and BLT. We have been able to go to the Kingdom twice a year the last couple of years!:banana:

We also just got 160 points as it's just my hubby and me (hopefully, 3 soon... hehe!) I'm booking on November 10 for our trip on Oct 10-17, 2010, we are also taking a Disney 7-night western caribbean cruise on Oct. 17. :banana: Also, in 2011 we will be staying at the Boardwalk for 9 nights for our Disney Wedding Celebration!!!:cheer2: Well, hope to hear soon about your trip and WELCOME AGAIN!!!!:cool1:
