We booked this Halloween camping weekend at the KOA months ago. You just never know what the forecast will be in October. I was prepared for cold, but not for the wet stuff. Just me and 5 kids, snug as bugs. I wish I'd gotten a pic of all the pumpkins they painted before we dropped the girls' friends off on the way home. I'm also glad I winterized the water lines before we went out.

Rob, sure looks like you guys had a ball! I love the snow, and I love camping in the snow. The last time we left for the Fort, there was about 6 inches on the road for the first couple hundred miles.

Rob, sure looks like you guys had a ball! I hate the snow, and I hate camping in the snow. The last time we left for the Fort, there wasn't a flake of snow on the road for the for a single mile.

and I hope it's that way in 5 dayz, :thumbsup2

Hey Rob, do you have a Jay Flight 22FB?

It's a 26 JTX. Essentially the same as a 26 or 27 BH (forget which is the current number), except that the BH has an overhead cabinet I don't have. I think the BH has an upgraded AC thermostat, also.

Are you looking at the FB?

Yeah. We don't need the sleeping room anymore since it's just the wife and the dog and me. Tomorrow we will be looking at a Starcraft 235FB which is actually a Jay Flight 22FB clone.

I believe that Starcraft is a company that is owned by Jayco.

I believe that Starcraft is a company that is owned by Jayco.

From what I've read, Starcraft declared bankruptcy and was purchased by Jayco in 2005. In 2008, Jayco moved Starcraft's operation down the road to the Jayco plant. I haven't quite been able to figure out what the advantage is of having two names on virtually the same TT, except maybe Jayco wanted Starcraft's dealer network. The only difference between models I can find is Jayco has a 2 year warranty but they only have a 1 year warranty on the Starcraft. As a result, the price comes in about a thousand bucks less. I have a Starcraft dealer and a Jayco dealer about the same distance from me, but the Jayco dealer doesn't have the 22FB in stock. If the deal is right, I'll take the Starcraft.

Nice floor plan. About 3 feet shorter, it's our basic floor plan from the front to the galley/dinette. Aft of the dinette we have the bunks, and aft of the fridge is our bathroom and sink. Our BR is a bit cramped, yours should have a lot more space in it.

You have the overhead cabinet that we don't have, the section over the end of the sofa. We are the same as far as galley, dinette, sofa, and front bedroom.

Looks like a nice set-up. Should be easy to pull, how does it weigh out compared to the Kiwi?

It's about 1000 lbs more, but I am still WAY under what the F150 can haul.

gotta love our f150's!!! lol
We just went camping to the Port Huron Michigan KOA last weekend for their Halloween festivities... Temp went to about minus 3 or 4 each night but no snow thank goodness!! It was packed with people... They had trick or treating 3-5pm and after 40 mins, we ran out of candy. I had bought enough for approx 500 kids... UNREAL... but it was tons of fun!!!
