I just bought this dress in white. I love it but it wasn't at all what I first had in mind. I could wear it without getting it altered but I am hoping to lose a bit by next summer. I really thought I would get something with beads and/or lace

I am worried it won't go with a SBP wedding so I would love for someone to tell me it will be fine. (I know it probably won't go with the balloon artisit :)

Gorgeous dress!!! I'm getting married at SBP too, so the style of dress was definitely a concern of mine as well.
Honestly, you have nothing to worry about! I think the dress looks less like a ballroom gown, and a little more flowy, which will work great for the SBP boardwalk area.

I think it goes fine at SBP- it's a little bit similar to my dress that I wore at SBP.

There is another girl on here too that has the same dress. She is getting married at SBP as well I think. I can't remember her name right now. Grrr :headache: I will look through my old posts and see if I can find it. She was definitely getting married before me so I am hoping she posts some pictures!

I haven't figured out jewelry and shoes yet. I was looking at some antique rhinestone necklaces on etsy but I am afraid the rhinestones are going to look yellow compared to the new rhinestones on the dress. I decided to wait until I get my dress to pick out anything.

I am really afraid of getting my heels stuck in the boards at SBP :eek::eek: so I haven't gotten shoes yet either. We are head down to Disney on Thursday for our planning session so I am going to try to get a better idea.

Have you picked out your jewelry and shoes yet?

Do you have a PJ? I haven't gotten around to starting one. :rolleyes1

I do have a trip report but am having trouble pasting it. It actually is more like a conversation between myself and the one other person reading it :) Actually I had another person comment so now I am up to two readers!

I will try and edit later and post a link. It started out as a pretrip report for our Dec trip and I am adding in the wedding planning stuff. It really is a conversation but I hope to tidy it up soon.

Excellent point about the boards at SBP. I never thought about that. Thanks. I am pretty clumsy in heels anyway so all the more reason to stay away from them.

I don't have any jewlery or shoes yet. I am really clueless about this stuff. When I bought my dress yesterday I was able to take it home. No one had ever tried it on and she was getting rid of this years styles. I really want to go try it on again and get a look at the "accent piece" on the front but I am waiting for my friend to send the pictures.

What are you doing about flowers? I don't know. I like the cream or white colored calla lilies but then I love roses and I do like color ........

There is a good chance you can get it on sale right now. Several shops in my area are having sales.

Getting it at 1/2 price sealed the deal for me.:banana:
