We like to order pizza the first night when we use our non-dvc timeshares. We love PaPa Johns and the family special. I just spoke with a new store in Lake Buena Vista and it delivers to all resorts including the DVCs except All-Stars. The store in Kissimmee delivers there. Now we can also enjoy our tradition at WDW. The address and phone number is listed below:
Papa Johns
11989 S. Apopka Vineland Rd.

Thanks for you info on the Pizza delivery. That is great news :). I wonder also if anyone else delivers at any of the DVC resorts?

I can verify that Papa John's delivers to OKW. DS is a delivery person at the Papa John's in our town, and when DH and I were at OKW in June and saw a car pull up with the Papa John's sign, and the delivery person get out with pizza, we joked about "Boy, Matt really went out of his way to surprise us!" But we didn't know who it really was. Thanks for the info!
Does Papa Johns have good pizza, is it thin crust or the thick crust?

We like the pizza. It's not really thick or thin crust, definitly not doughie, the sauce is yummy. We order their pizza often, just not the breadsticks, they're a little weird.
Thanks mickey7861, We will have to try them when we are at WDW in 63 more days! I definitely do not like doughie pizza crust so this sounds good!

Is Papa John's better than the pizza at the BW take-out window? I bet it's less expensive. ;)

I have never had the pizza at the BW but Papa John's is resonably priced so I'm sure it's MUCH less expensive.

the room service pizza at the VWL is fabulous and not as expensive as you may think ! It is huge and easily feed my family of four with some left over.

If only I could have convinced the other members of my family... I (we) sure could have used that pizza last week!

Let me preface this by saying that this is just my opinion but I didn't like the pizza from room service at WL.
I remember it being like a saltine with tomato sauce and cheese...it reminded me of generic grocery store pizza. But..I'm a pizza lover. I love Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. It's my guilty pleasure.
Maybe I just hit it on a bad night...but I'll never get room service pizza at WL again. Just my opinion.

We have used Papa Johns at OKW and others. We called the main desk and asked the CM who they recommended. The young lady gave us about 5 phone numbers and some recommendations. My only advice is to call the front desk and ask for their opinions. They are there to help out.

JillU,
I emailed the info to you about PaPa Johns a couple of days ago, and it bounced back. I used the email on the post about the pizza at BWV.
Thanks,
Becky

We ALWAYS order pizza for our first night at DVC and have never had any problem with delivery. Check the phone book (Yellow Pages) in your room for the ones that deliver to the resorts (it will say in the book) We usually do a late night shop at Goodings and sometimes place an order at the Pizza Hut at Crossroads to have it delivered to OKW. By the time we've got the groceries put away, the pizza arrives. Bring or buy a small roll of foil and save the leftovers for snacks. We've been ordering in our first night since '92 -our first year at OKW - and it's now become an expected tradition.

Thanks for all the numbers and the info...I'll put it to good use on my trip!

I wish I remembered the name of the Chinese restaurant I ordered from my very first stay at OKW. I called the front desk and a CM suggested the restaurant. Food was delivered straight to our door. Not the greatest but definitely good food and a nice break from the OTC meals we had on our trip.

Forgot to mention my INCREDIBLE EXCITEMENT to hear about a Giordano's in the WDW area! And that DELIVERS! Growing up in Chicago but transplanted to St. Louis, I crave good deep-dish pizza. Now I REALLY can't wait to go back to WDW!
We always end up eating pizza sometime when we are in wdw it seems. There is something very comfortable and familiar about disney pizza. I swear that the best pizza I ever had in my life was polly room service, but my wife says that I must have just been really hungry, because it wasn't that exceptional. I just wish that someone would open up a mellow mushroom in the Orlando area.

I also grew up in Chicago & miss not only the deep-dish pizza, but a good Italian beef sandwich. We discovered Giordano's on our trip to WDW last month; we enjoyed it so much that we ended up eating there three times. First time I had the Italian beef and was not disappointed. It was soooo good. :) My husband had Italian sausage, which was also good. My daughter had a thin crust spinach pizza which was wonderful. She doesn't like deep-dish pizza; I guess that comes from growing up in an area of Louisiana where pizza means Little Caesers or Pizza Hut. :( Even though my husband also grew up in Chicago, he doesn't like deep-dish pizza either; I could't get either of them to split one with me, so on our next visit, we had a supreme thin crust pizza which was very good. I liked the Italian beef so much that I ordered it the third time we went back. Darn, now I'm hungry!

For those of us who like Giordano's for both pizza and sandwiches, note that they deliver both, along with salads, various appetizers, and entrees. The only problem is having a menu so you know what to ask for and how much it will cost. We ordered a thin crust pizza and house salad for delivery to BWV in early June. (I like both thin crust and stuffed pizza from Giordano's, but Pam prefers thin crust--and Pizza Hut pizza, but that's another thread :) ). The house salad ended up being large enough for the two of us with the pizza plus a second go at lunch the next day on both the leftover pizza and salad. I had to walk over to Tubbi's Buffeteria at the Dolphin to find salad dressing so we could finish off the salad.
In any case, when we returned home, I checked the Giordano's web site: http://www.giordanos.com/ and found a delivery menu. Calling the local outlet confirmed that this menu was also valid for the Florida locations. I plan to take a copy along for our next visit to BWV (in early January).

As long as we're discussing pizza, would anyone like to comment on the Pizzeria Uno at Crossroads?
Do they offer take-out (I'm guessing they don't deliver), and is it worth going to for sit-down?

They do have carry-out. We've done that a few times over the years. I've never eaten inside the restaurant. I also don't know if they deliver. My husband prefers to pick things up himself..hotter and cheaper IHHO.
