It's snowing here, too. And we're camping in it. Woke up this morning and we got at least 2-3" last night. Mostly melted off now, but it's supposed to hit 24 tonight. Hope the furnace doesn't konk out!

Oh Rob, we have had that happen when camping already too. We had one time we came home a day early because they issued a winter storm warning. Crazy!

I'm not ready for it. I threw a sock at Charlie Lopresti the other night. The nerve of him talking about snow! Ugh!

What I wouldn't give for some cold weather. We were at the Magic Kingdom last night (along with 75,000 or so of our closest friends) and at 9:00pm it was still 87 degrees with humidity so thick you could almost see the air (if there weren't so many people in the way).

October is supposed to have crisp, fresh, invigorating air. Not this damned oppressive heat and humidity.

I really wish I could be a true snow-bird - - - only living in Florida from December thru April. Maybe someday <sigh>!

You'd think you guys were living in a log cabin and had to chop the ice off the wood pile to start the fire for coffee. Pour a bag of pellets in the pellet stove, click the thing on, dump some coffee in the coffee maker and hunker down for the winter. Heck, I was tent camping on the Appalachian Trail one May and woke up to snow covering my tent. In a couple weeks you'll be in Florida and everything will be fine again.

Of all the Charlie Brown's in the world, you're the Charlie Brownest.

I would love a little snow too! Of course, I live in Georgia and we don't get snow very often. There was one day this past week when the heat index was supposedly 105 in the shade while we were at EPCOT. It was pretty miserable. We are back home now and luckily we're getting some nice fall weather.

You're lucky to be getting the nice weather, it's still very hot here at the fort. The heat index is still in the 100's and it's too hot to even go to the parks. No air is moving and it's just suffocating. The weather men say that it might get better by next weekend. Here's hoping!!

We were away this weekend, and for Octobober in Fl. I feel like it's in the heat of August. We went just outside the Ocala National Park. It was so hot we couldn't do anything outside. I hope by the time we get to the FT in 2 weeks it cools down.

I couldn't believe the temps for the week ......in the 90's. From the looks of it, it may be down into the low 80's by early next week. I hope it cools down just a little or at least the humidity goes away by the time we get there.....Oct. 26th. I dont mind the warm weather but the humidity gets me.
