I'm off today. Mom's b-day is today, so one of my sisters and I are taking her out to lunch.

I'm getting my hair cut and colored! Yay! I soooo need it. I think I might go blond to help cover up the gray bit better.

No other big plans for the day.

Hope everyone is feeling better, or is well on the mend!

Have a great day!

Ok, I've tried to go through yesterday's daily grind... I apologize if I missed anyone.. I'll check the others in a while... after I finish cleaning 2 more rooms..

Pinballfamily ~ how is your DH doing today? How are you feeling, any better?
ZerotoHero ~ how are you doing? School work? Homework? Meetings? (yes, one of your many mother's asking those questions!)
Joyah ~ I'm so sorry to hear your uncle is in the hospital. How is he doing today? Your aunt? Mom/Dad? How are you feeling? I hope you are feeling better after a nap!
Buffy ~ so sorry to hear about all the school drama. (got it going on here but I refuse to deal w/ stupid people!)... However, if the stuff you were dealing w/ was what was going on around here, I'd be all over it with you! I hope the meeting leads to some results. I couldn't imagine our aides behaving like that.. the parents would take them out w/o even a thought. I hope you are feeling better too.... How are the kidlets? DH?
Holly ~ How are you? Did you get the results on the CT/MRI? What did they decide?
How is bubba?
Jennifer ~ hope you had a nice "me" day getting your hair done...
Debbie ~ sorry to hear DS is sick... hope he is feeling better soon.
TRM ~ how is you DH? The girls? Hope the meeting went well with the builder and the financing goes thru!

Sorry for the delay in posting - I've been sleeping (a lot!) and on the phone with insurance folks, hospital billing, and all of my fun new "friends" (ugh) as a result of the crash.

First, DH is doing ok. He's working at home and is achy but optimistic that the surgery was successful. The more days, weeks, etc. that go by without the strange runaway heartbeats the better. Fingers crossed! His pacemaker/defibrillator was turned back on to continue to help the *other* part of his heart.

The car is totalled - we got the official word this a.m. and they'll come drag it away tomorrow. Sigh - poor little Saturn. It put up a good fight against that monster Escalade, but lost the battle (but saved us!).

The doc believes I also sustained a concussion from the impact. If I didn't even actually hit my head on something (the neck rest?), the impact may have been so severe that my brain got sloshed against the skull. He says my disorientation, memory/attention problems, and general loopyness isn't a symptom of whiplash, like my neck and head pain is. (I sort of dissolved when I had a hugely tough time answering some very basic math problems and reciting things backwards - it was SO crushing...because normally I'm such a nerd!) He says only time will help me here and I check back with him next week. In the meantime, no driving for me. (But, scrapshopping CAN occur online!!! HAH!)

I appreciate all of your kindness more than you know. Old and new friends are certainly helping us through this mess!

PBF- sorry to hear you are having to deal with not so fun phone calls. I hope that you get better soon from the concusion- I got a mild one a few years back and getting over it was no fun. Keeping your family in my prayers.

ZerotoHero ~ how are you doing? School work? Homework? Meetings? (yes, one of your many mother's asking those questions!)

I'm good - whiplash is gone for me, and I'm not feeling any loopier than usual.... :crazy2:

Schoolwork is going well - I think I did very well on my quiz today, thanks to Lou helping me study right before it.

Homework - I should start doing that.... tomorrow. ;) Kidding! I'm trying to get a lot of it done before Saturday, and then I'll get the rest done on Sunday, so I can enjoy my day off on Monday!

Meetings - Today's was good, we got a lot done in terms of how to make the school's food provider better. Not looking forward to the one tomorrow though - I have to go into Boston just because of it, which takes a huge chunk out of my day.

I'm alive barely  thinking what buffy had moved north. head is spinning, so this is a quick check in since DH would never think to come here and let you all know.
Nancy thanks for asking. Uncle is much better will be moved to rehab in the next few days BP isn't totally stable yet, and he shuffles instead of bending his knees. Aunt is holding her own Mom is with her. Dad is doing well finally back up to weight and trying to decide on the rest of the surgery to put everything back together. I'm heading to bed now. I will be taking medicine and hopefully sleeping till am with out coughing.

PBF Hope your feeling a little better tonight. glad to hear dh is better. I'm sure you and my uncle could realate to each other. They've said he will have bouts of all of that for the next 6 months with his head ingury.

Have a good night everyone.

No pictures, I'm just finally sitting down after being out all ding dong day! The first part of "me" time was nice, but the rest was just one thing after another. Of course, I did find some time to pack for Saturday, so at least I've got that done.

One of my cats knocked over a vase (okay, it was a glass) of dahlias on the counter and spilled water EVERYWHERE. She's lucky she's so cute!

PBF, I'm sorry to hear of the concussion. I had some memory issues after a car accident almost 15 years ago. Turned out to not be a concussion, but I know what you mean about breaking down about the questions. It bugged me that I KNEW them and couldn't SAY them! Chin up. So glad to hear DH is doing well.

Christy, I hope you get to feeling better soon.
PBF, hopefully your loopiness from the concussion will clear up soon. That's go to be so hard. I'm glad to hear that your DH is doing well.
Holly, poor Bubba. I hope the doc gave him some new meds.

Today was my long day at work and I had such a good time. I got to train on the Gypsy for awhile so that I'm ready to do the demo on Sunday. I soooooo want a Gypsy. I am in love with it. Too bad my employee discount won't work towards it.:sad1:

Oh, PBF, I am so sorry to hear that you are still having problems from the accident. Pat that car lovingly before it leaves for protecting you and ZtH. Thank goodness for that!!!!

I'm not feeling any loopier than usual.... :crazy2:

And the difference there would..be.. :confused3 ;) :rotfl2:

Po3, poor Bubba and poor you. I can't wait to give you a big  Saturday. Give SIL a gift certificate. Don't stress yourself out shopping on a gift.

Okay, everyone to bed early for some well deserved rest. Time for everyone to get well and on the mend. :grouphug:

My day today was:

Get DD up and ready for school. Actually she has been doing real well getting herself ready. I just have to make sure she doesn't walk out of the house with shorts on. The kid would wear them all year round if she could.
Caffeinate
Work
Call conference center regarding Cape Cod Crop. :yay:
Call and check on Mom.
Get hair done.

I'll be sure to get some on Saturday. I did used to be blond, but I was also 8 or 9 (when we lived in FL, I was white blond - natural). I like the red (and so does DH ;) ).
