adding person to reservation?

hi everyone. i am going to wdw in about 3 weeks with a friend. we are staying at por for 6 nights. another friend of ours may be able to come down for 2 nights. does anyone know if i have to add the person a certain amount of time in advance or can i do it a day or so before we check in? i know we will have to pay a little more but i have no idea as to when i have to notify them of the extra person. thanks for any help!

I think you could add a person at any time. You won't need any additional space, so I think it would be fine.

You can add him/her the day they arrive if you want. That is what they told me when I had children flying in from all over during one of our vacations.

Hessie, you say that you know that you will have to "pay alittle more". I thought that you paid for the room itself, no matter if there 2 or 3or 4 people in it. Is that correct? We are going to WDW in Oct. My DD, 2 grandchildren and myself,staying at the CR. My DH will join us for 1 night at the end of our stay.I was planning on letting them know at the check-in desk but didn't expect to have to pay any more. Maybe I'm wrong:confused: Could anybody clarify this for me? Thanks:D

You'll be charged extra for your DH.the night he spends there. I belive it's $15. Be sure you have a room that will sleep also..most sleep 4. If it's not set up for 5, they won't let 5 sleep in it. It also depends (for the limit of 4) on the age of your youngest grand...if your grand is a baby and can sleep in a portcrib, you can have five in a room for four. However you will still have to pay for a third adult (prices include two adults).

Extra adult charges per night (when more than two adults in a room):

$10 - Value Resorts (All-Stars)
$15 - Moderates (CBR, POR, POFQ, CSR)
$25 - Deluxes (Poly, CR, GF, etc)
