Nearly 8 months ago, I shared with you all pictures of a romantic trip to WDW where my DGF and I got engaged.
Today I have the sad news to share with you that she has changed her mind about us as a couple.
While I am very disappointed, I will recover and get on with my life including my love of all things Disney.

Ouch...sorry to hear, but in the larger order of things I figure that just means you both weren't meant to be and it saves you future grief or problems...it hurts a bit now, but as you said, move on to enjoying what you have and doing what you like, and eventually what's meant to be will be, and the right one will come along.

Dave, I'm very sorry and I really feel your pain. No doubt it's going to hurt for a while but keep your head up and I promise things will get better over some time.

I'm really sorry. But, your outlook seems to be good, whether masked or real. Look to the things that you enjoy, and time will heal your hurt.

Sorry to hear that! Hope you are able to console yourself with a trip soon! I know it sounds cliche-ish, but better to find out now. Best of luck to you and whatever your future holds.

Lots of bummer news lately! Sorry to hear it - but like Justin said, there is always a bright side. Better no marriage than an unhappy one. I have more than one friend who is or was stuck in a marriage that turned unhappy, and usually they'd just stick around for the kids... be glad you don't have those with her, either!
More good news - Disney will always be happy to accept your love! :)

Sorry to hear that this happened but as others have said, it is something that is better to have happen now than down the road. I had a similar thing happen to me many, many years ago and I know it is tough for awhile. It helps to share with others as you have here.
Try to make some new memories at WDW and post more pictures for us to enjoy!

 So sorry to hear it.
Like others said, it might not feel like it right now but it's probably for the best. I was devastated when ex-DBF broke up with me last year after 5 years. It took me a little while but I moved on and am much better off for it.
Goodluck healing. It will take some time but you'll get there, I promise.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I know that I will move on, and find a princess: who shares my love of Disney.
Now if someone has some spare pixie dust :tinker: my search for a new full-time job could use a boost.

Dave, if it makes you feel better, a breakup before the wedding is a LOT cheaper than one after the wedding. You could almost consider yourself fortunate (in the most depressing use of the word). Good Luck. :)

Sorry, Dave.
Best advice I can give...get a dog. :)
