I nearly ready ive booked my resturants and everything is sorted. Last job is to book the VEA shuttle but i have no idea what time to book it for.

How long do i need to allow each way.

Ive not booked before so do you even need to put a time or can i just give them a date and get on the next available bus when we are ready?

Also coming home how far in advance should we be leaving, would 2 hours before check in be okay?

you can pay on the bus...like a normal bus or pay and print off your invoice online!!..don't need times as far as I know... we are 2 kids and 2 adults and we were the same price ordering a taxi through ezyshuttle....they have good reviews on here.....and you pay half there which is 60 euros and 60 euros on the way back.......this will be the first time we haven't got the bus and I'm soooo nervous!!!

Private shuttles usually allow about 3 hours before check in in my experience, with VEA I'd be tempted to leave longer. I'm not a fan of VEA and would always advocate trying a private or shared shuttle with RS transports or one of the other operators. It may even work out cheaper.
You're not guaranteed a seat on VEA whether you prepay or just turn up, to me it's too much of a risk and when we used them meant a) standing in the cold for hours on end on the way to the park and b) leaving many hours before we were due to fly, just to be sure we could get to the airport on time. This was during a transport strike but has totally tarnished my view of VEA.

i also would price up a private or shared shuttle. with that option i usually get picked up 45 mins before check in opens. which is two hours before your flight. i am also using ezy shuttle in november. it is a fixed rate of 120 euros for up to six people

Hey,

I've used VEA on the last 5 trips, the last trip being last week.

You cannot book a specific time on the VEA buses, you are just buying your ticket which will allow you to get whichever bus you want there and back. DO note that when booking online you have to enter your dates of going to and from the airpirt and teh tickets are printed with these dates so you cannot use them on a differerent day.
I would recommend buying the tickets and printing them out to save time queuing to buy them at the airport...sometimes you are prohibited from buying them on the buses themselves so you either have to buy them online or queue with other people at the VEA terminal to buy them.

Times to and from the airports from the various hotels are given on the site. They (VEA) recommend you leave about 2 and a half hours before your check-in time to allow for hold ups etc.

On the way to Disneyland Paris if you are arriving in Charles de gaul, there will be signs for the VEA shuttle or you can ask and someone will point you in the right direction.
You will then have to wait for a bus to come, this bus will not be taking you to Disneyland but to the VEA shuttle terminal -it is free.
You then come off that bus and wait to get onto the big red VEA shuttle which will take you to Disney and the respective hotels.

However on the way back to the airport there is no change in buses, you simply wait for the VEA shuttle to arrive at the front of your hotel, tell the driver which airline you are flying with so he knows which terminal to leave you at and thats it.... he will then go around the other hotels to collect people but you will then be taken straight to the terminals (no bus changes), it doesn't take that long to drop people off at their terminal.

Hope that's helped.

All the best:goodvibes

Aveen a question for you - if you dont mind - noticed you flew with Aer Lingus did you fly into Terminal 1? Is that where you got the link bus to the VEA? Last time we went we got VEA right outside without a link bus. Is the link bus easy to find and how will I know it is the one for the VEA linkup. I am travelling with my young daughter and I have a hopeless sense of direction can see myself spending days trying to get out of airport to VEA lol:confused3 Thanks in advance Jo

Hey disneyfanswicklow

Yep Terminal one and thats the terminal you go back to when you are getting dropped off:goodvibes

The whole link bus thing only started like a year or so ago, maybe abit more. It is more annoying. I remember when you just got the bus and went straight there. Apparently though it has something to do with people paying on the bus and the bus drivers pocketing money without putting the transaction through:sad2:

So now you have to get a link bus.

After you collect your luggage you exit that area and walk out to were everyone is waiting, men with boards etc. Go to door 30, which should be over to your right. There will be VEA signs on some of the overhead signs anyway and if you can't find it ask another airport staff member. Outside door 30 there will be like a plastic board sign by VEA telling you information of the bus times etc and usually there wil be a VEA staff member standing there in a red coat or fleese thing. The link buses come around every 15 mins or so.

It is more hastle than the old way unfortunately and I can't say I like it but I guess we don't have much choice!:sad2:

Hope you have a great trip though:cool1:

As I said in that last post there is no link bus going back from the hotel, so you will just get on it at ur hotel and go back to terminal one thank goodness:banana:
