Hi all - some of you may remember my posts a few months ago about DLRP - my daughters Ice Skating team won a spot on the World team in Toulouse, France this upcoming April. Well I've finished my plan and thought I'd share it with you. It's not as DIsney heavy as I would like, but I'm pretty sure this will be my only time in the area as the cost is truly becoming outrageous from the US.

Friday April 16 - Leave Chicago

Saturday April 17th - Arrive in Paris. Staying at the Holiday Inn at the CDG airport for 4 nights.

Sunday - Tour some of Paris

Monday - Disneyland

Tuesday - Studios w/ dinner at the Village (the character meal there)

Wednesday - Tour Paris & take late train to Toulouse (staying at another Holiday Inn in Toulouse)

Thursday - Tour Toulouse & Carsconne (Spelling?)

Friday - if they have an early skate - drive to Sete

Saturday - will be main competition day

Sunday - leave Toulouse back up to Paris - dinner/Eiffel Tower

Monday - Tour Paris

Tuesday - Tour Versailles

Wednesay - use chunnel transport to go to London

Thurs/Fri/Sat - London

Sun - leave via London return to Chicago

My biggest issue with the hotels has been finding a room for 4 - that's pretty much why I've just stuck with Holiday Inn. Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

sounds pretty amazing!

the only thing i would say... is that a whole day for studios would be too much for me, there is far more to see in the main park.. so maybe... morning in main park again, then from lunch till dinner in studios.

Whilst I can understand you will be slightly disappointed not spending more time in Disney. You really should not :goodvibes Paris and France are wonderful places. Paris itself has so much to offer and you will have to make your mind up about what the key things you want to experience in the city.

Not sure if you planned it this way but I would leave any character interaction until your Studios day since the crowds will be easier than the Disneyland Park :)

Enjoy your trip and remember to come back and tell us all about it :thumbsup2

Thanks - I was really hoping to avoid most of the character interactions in the parks....and make ressies at Cafe Mickey's on that Studios day. My girls will be 10 & 15 on this trip, & have seen the characters at WDW 100's of times. We'll see, I'm sure I will still have to fine Princess Jasmine for my 10 yr old.

Really? not a full day at Studios? I would love to have some more time in the other park instead!

Does anyone know when/how to make cafe Mickey ressies? I'm the obsessive up at 4am at the 180 day mark for WDW...so not doing that kinda makes me crazy!

I can't wait to see Paris & southern France...& London too. I'm so grateful to go on this trip at all...& if I get a little dose of pixie dust that's even better!

You can make your reservation for Cafe Mickey 60 days before you intend to eat there :)

Hi!

I'd agree that you probably won't need a full day in the studios but I'd head over there first on the morning of your second day then back to the main park. That way you'll make sure you get everything done that you want to in the studios and hopfully avoid the longer queues for Crush's Coaster if you head there first (that is, if Crush's Coaster interests you). Personally I love the studio's park so i think you should definately make time for it :)

You can make your restaurant reservations up to 60 days in advance and I *think* this is the number you'll need to call: +33 1 60 30 40 50. Hopefully it'll work!

I spent a whole day in the Studios before, i think its a shame when people say it only takes half a day to do.

We also find it easy to spend a whole day in the studios but it does depend on what you want to do.
Of the shows I'd suggest Cinemagique (brilliant IMHO) Stitch Live and/or Animagique, there are others too but not sure you'll get them all in a day and do the rides too, but check the times of the English shows and try to plan around them, with a bit of forward planning it's surprising how much can be achieved :goodvibes
