Can you give some details. Is it worth the $89?

There's a great trip report elsewhere on this site...

Dave, that link takes you to a description of the 12-metre regatta in St. Maarten, which I've also done and loved.
I think Ned is talking about the Regatta Race Challenge in NASSAU, though. Barb & Tony have done that one, I believe, and perhaps they can give you some feedback on this excursion. :D

Michelle is correct. Is there any info available on the net?

Ned, you might check out Barb & Tony's site at:

I haven't looked but if it's an excursion they have done they will have a write-up on it there somewhere. :D

We definitely did it in Nassau (and St. Maarten too!). There is info. in my trip report, but since I don't remember which trip that was, here's some quick info:
I liked the sailboats in St. Maarten a bit better because they were smaller, and thus you got a lot closer to the water. But other than that, it was a blast!!! You are broken down into teams, and you get to actually sail and race the boats, which were also previously used in America's Cup races. You can pick an active position (like "grinding") or something less strenuous, like passing out drinks (they have a full cooler so you'll have plenty of refreshments). The race gets very competitive!! We've been fortunate enough to be on the winning boat both times, but in Nassau it was a very close call. I highly recommend this excursion...very exiting. Hubby already wants to do it again.
