I am just curious how do you get pins for free dining. I am traveling for the 3rd time to Disney in Dec. Your help would be appreciated.

PINS seem to be the luck of the draw. Nobody is really sure how people get them. I have heard people say they have received them after registering for disney vacation planning video on disnye.com but I can't be sure of that. It is worth a try. Disney was also running a promotion for the general public for free dining for dates through December, but that offer expired a little over a week ago. Good luck!

The free dining PINS were like any other pincode. It was the luck of the draw. This year was my first time in 21 trips that I ever got any of the coveted pincodes. There was FREE Dining for the General public, meaning anybody could book it, but the booking window for it expired LAST WEEK.

I found a pin in my email Junk mail last week that was there for weeks :scared1: I called right away, and it expired on Oct 1. So i doubt there will be any more pins for this year, now they are releasing rates for Jan on

I'm not sure how I ended up with the Free Dining Pin offer, it was just in the mailbox one day! But, Disney ended up releasing the same offer to the general public anyway(Dec. free dining); so I'm not sure how "special" this offer was anyway. I guess it's just random because we've been 8 times and this was our first "pin" offer. :confused3

I got that PIN also. Both email and snail mail, but AFTER it was out to the GP. I didn't get the point of it. I guess maybe just to track where the advertising is working. :confused3 I am hoping that wasn't my only shot since I am not going until June. I have gotten a few PINs in the last couple of years, but most have been for Disneyland, and I don't plan on going back there for sometime now.
