Looking for reviews of the Hotel Rotal Plaza, please

Hi all!!! I'm in the process of planning a total surprise trip to WDW for my entore family(including DH :p) I've made ressies at the HRP with a mousesavers code of 85 a night total 475.00 for 5 nights.

Can you please tell me all about the HRP. We usually stay n property but since this is a budget trip I decided to stay off site. We've already been this year and since we have AP's they're making me go again-;)

I know the HRP isn't anywhere as nice as a deluxe at WDW. But did you think it was worth the $$ I will pay? Is it clean? How about the pool, heated?

I like how is located near the Crossroads and DTD. Oh, when you stayed there did you use their transportation or walk to DTD and use the busses there?

Any detail you can share will be greatly appreciated!!!!

This is the only hotel in DTD that we have stayed. It has a good location. Bus service goes to all these hotels, only difference is for MK it lets you out at TTC. We stayed there a few years ago, and had a high tower room. The hotel (then) was very nice. Our room was large and very clean. With a good view. They had a large pool and hot tub. Good luck. ;)

Both Mary (mousesavers) and disboards (this board) http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/resort.htm recommend the hotel. I haven't stayed there but you can't go wrong with the price and these recommendations. The bus transportation is every 20-30 minutes, Disney deluxe generally have monorail, boat or walking trails to at least some parks. That said the hotel seems closer to a Disney deluxe than a moderate.
