Oh My Gosh guys we are back and had the most amazing week of our lives! I have to say 1st that I had every intention of posting pics right away, well our little makeoker is now going to be a national thing. I cannot tell you how amazing things have been. Every single room, every stitch of flooring just everything got a make over and our little town and our families are super awsome!!! Our local news sold the story to cnn. NOTICE THE SHIRTS LOL!!!! I MADE THEM WEAR THEM, they had no idea why just thought I was being weird.

Everything in out house is new so all of our belongings are in 3 large PODS in our yard waiting to be unpacked. whew its been a whirlwind.

Ill be posting lots of pics as soon as I find all of my cables.

OH MY GOSH!!! Seriously, a tear jerker! Your community is so awesome! Alyssa is such a sweetheart and it was fun to "meet" your whole family, finally. ;)
I couldn't read the shirts, but I could tell you were matching. You'll have to make sure and post pics of those, with the before and afters of the house and everything else!!!

WOW!!! I just loved those video's. What a wonderful community, and such a deserving little girl and family.

Since our son's Wish trip last year, I've spent less and less time on the DIS, but came back on recently as it looks like we're going back in February. I hadn't read Alyssa's story and with no school today (!!!) I settled in to read your story. I'm so glad I did.

Our son has cerebral palsy and some other medical issues. I won't go into details now, but it's been a tough year, nothing to dire medically (although all us having H1N1 was certainly not fun!), but just a long, tough slog, with many reminders of the challenges our son and family face.

I needed a pick me up this morning, and thanks to Alyssa and your family, I received it!!!

I am just really glad to hear that everyone is okay...we worry about our Wish kids...especially right after a trip...sometimes it can be overwhelming!

Hey Chrissi!!!! I'm so glad you guys got home safe and sound. And that WAS quite a surprise waiting for you! WOW I know you warned me about the tissues but..........

You have amazing family and friends. And I'm not surprised. You guys deserve it. We had so much fun meeting you all and talking and having fun. The kids had a such a ball. Alyssa is a doll and your DJ and Shayna were just the most terrific kids (I'm always so worried about the teenage years and so it's comforting to meet kids like yours). I'll have to have Olivia watch the video tomorrow. She'll be excited to see Alyssa. She's asked me if she could send her a message so I'll have her send a pm after she watches it. Oh yeah, I noticed DJ was STILL wearing his Goofy santa hat:rotfl: Has he taken it off yet???????

I agree with everything you said in your post to me (on my thread). We have to keep in touch. It was not coincidental that we met here, ended up at GKTW the exact same week, and kept 'bumping' into each other. I still get goosebumps when I think about Shayna being the one who ended up 'rescuing' Brennan at Universal. And then turning around after Fantasmic at HS and saying to Stephen, "oh, look at the little girl's dress" and suddenly realizing it was Alyssa. Just crazy.

Hope your enjoying the mad rush in this final week before the holiday. I know I am just a nut over here. "Hi" to Dwayne and kids for me!!!

I saw your news story. That's amazing that people were able to do that for you. Merry Christmas!! What did you get for Christmas?
