character breakfast questions

we paid for this with our holiday, thomas cook said we book the day when we arrive. is this right? i assumed we would book our slot on paying. what if theyre too full to fit us in the day we want? how do we prove we paid already? :confused3

I rang Leger as this is who were travelling with, they said its down to the hotel what day / time we can have the character breakfast depending on availability.

Now Im worried as it will be a busy season what if they land me with the only day EMH is on? What if I get a unsuitable time? I also want to book dinner with the princess's but I dont want character breakfast then lunch on the same day as it will be most of that day eating being a waste of time and we wont be able to eat a 3 course meal after such a big breakfast
