:confused: Help :confused:

Does anyone out there have any special discount rates/codes for Avis? I know that last week I read somewhere on here a special discount code and I even copied it down but it has disappeared somewhere in the packing. If anyone can help me it would truly be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.

One special I used recently is AVIS J945605. If I remember correctly a compact car for $30 daily and Mini van for $49.99. Sorry can't help you with the weekly rates. You might want to ck. out the transportation brd.

Also, Try AWD# A108335... It's a Costco code that saves you a bit.

Just yesterday, I was surfing for all the codes I could dig up. I found the following: J945605, D002807, K163324, K492101, A108335. And the winner is? The first two provided the best rate for me, but results may vary based on length of rental, time of year, phase of the moon, and so forth.

Try www.mousesavers.com where they list some discounts including $5/day for registering online, or something like that. Also, we always use an Entertainment Book coupon for a double upgrade. Rent small, drive big!

Make sure you bring a copy of ANY kind of rate or discount you are quoted. We just returned and used codes for Avis before and after the cruise and they tried to charge us a higher rate when we returned the cars. The charge for the six days after the cruise was almost 150$ dollars more than my confirmation email. Both times my price was honored. A couple in front of us was having the same problem but did not have anything in print to prove it.

I called Avis and tried all the codes on this thread. There were two that actually brought the cost of my reservation down, but I had to be able to show proof of membership in the associations associated with the codes. So I did not use them. Who knows whether they would absolutely ask but I prefer to be safe...
