In honor of Card Making month and our Cards for Soldiers drive, I'm starting a card making challenge this month. So post the number of cards you make each month here! I need to round up some names and smilies but I figure we can at least start for now.

I spent the day shopping with ZTH and PBF and bought a bunch of stuff to start making cards to ship to 123SA's DH. This weekend we are working on Halloween cards...:goodvibes

Ugh...I just stuck my head into my usually neat and tidy scrap room and it looks like a BOMB went off in it...

Off to tidy it up (where I am going to put all of this stuff:confused3) so that dd can make cards with me today. It's pouring rain here so it's a good day to pop in some dvds and scrap ~ wish me luck;)

I'm at 9 cards this month. I love making cards! These were for someone at work who wanted special thank you cards for her bridesmaids and flower girls. If you're interested, these are the cards I made for a craft sale last month and the thank you cards.

I saw a card in a magazine that was made out of a variety of cordinating ribbon. The ribbon ran vertical on the note card and on the bottom of each piece of ribbon by the opening it was notched in a ^. Looked adorable and what a great way to use up those odds and ends of ribbon.

There is one of those in the Nov CK issue- I noticed it when I was looking at it last night- it had directions with it and looked fairly easy.

Well.... I'm not usually a card maker, but I have been meaning to get two cards in the mail.... one as an encouragement to a friend battling brain cancer and another to a friend who just lost her mom to breast cancer. This challenge will be my "push" to actually get these done TODAY! I won't be posting big numbers, but even getting two done and in the mail is a big deal for me!......P

Okay....someone who is NOT having an extended blonde moment will have to help me! I haven't posted a photo in a while and I am having trouble remembering how! I have the pictures uploaded to Shutterfly and I know I need to cut and paste SOMETHING and then change it to an img, but for some reason I am drawing a blank here. When I right mouse click on the photo at Shutterfly, I am getting the options of...

Inspect element


None of these seem right. When I copy the image URL and then try to change to an IMG, I must be doing something wrong. Anyone want to help a blondie with a brain cramp??..........P

you don't have anything at the bottom of the pictures? Or if you just hover over them, and don't click, does anything appear? you want the "IMG" code one, it should be the third link.

Otherwise, the format is [ IMG ] link to photo, starting with http:// and ending with .jpg or .gif or something like that [ / IMG ]

You just have to get rid of all the spaces.

Okay.... so I am not totally brain dead. But either the change from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome threw me off, or something has changed at Shutterfly, because I never had this much trouble before! But anyhow, here you go.

They are both totally scraplifted from CK magazine, but that's okay with me! To give proper credit, DD took the beautiful picture of the honeysuckle. It is a beautiful picture IRL... it has rain drops hanging from the flower petals............P

I don't know the story -- I keep thinking if Buzz Lightyear was on the cover I could just write "To infinity and Beyond!" and be done with it - -is there some one liner like that I could use?

I think that was the same one I was on! It literally was a bad summary of the books....

I read the first couple, and they were great - but then I got depressed that real men aren't actually that cool. ;)

And the last book never appealed to me, so I didn't read it.

I just wanted to say thanks again for for inspiring me to actually get some cards done and in the mail. My friend with the brain cancer received her card earlier this week and she was so excited that she brought it to show my Mom (who is her neighbor).
