Welcome everyone to October's challenge! Let's see if we can make this a really productive month for all of us. Just post to join in, then post your completed pages and I'll keep track of them right here. Everyone is welcome to join, whether you complete 1 or 100 pages.

I have 1 page completed so far. I thought I had another from this evening, but Photoshop blew up on me as I was trying to save it. I do have a web version saved, but I'm so upset that I have to go back and recreate the page so I can save it in print quality. :sad2: (I nearly threw my laptop across the room when it happened.)

THAT is one BIG reason why I will NEVER Digital scrap! I get that frustrated when I lose a post - if I lost several hours of work on a page I'd have to shoot myself.

I'd like to join the page count if possible. My goal is 40 pages this month, which is alot for me. I have done 2 so far.

I figure a high goal this month will do two things: help me get caught up, and stop me from overplanning my DL trip next month and driving my DH crazy :rotfl: He has already complained that it seems like we eat, sleep, and breath DL. I don't see anything wrong with it myself, but in the interest of making it to our 14th anniversary I think I'd better keep busy at something else.

Thanks for the thought, anyway....! We don't have another trip in the works at all, it will be at least 2011 for us, unless something changes. I'm hoping to have the other two finished by then. :rotfl:

If DH doesn't find work soon, then we will have to cancel. But I'm holding out hope. He as 2 possibly 3 offers coming in this week so fingers crossed!

I'm really excited to work on the October 2005 trip because it's Fall now and the memories kind of come back, but the pics are not printing nicely. They look awesome on the computer but are dark, flat and dull on in print. I'm not sure what's up. I had test prints done at 3 different places and they all look terrible. Maybe I will just kit what I have and then replace the pics if they come out better. :confused3

We had an issue with some of the prints from our Thanksgiving 2008 trip, but we took them somewhere else and it was better.

While Kodak online is about 15 cents per picture on sale I would have to say that I find even if I don't think a picture looks good when they print it it comes out better- they take awhile to upload but the quality has been unmatched compared to anywhere else(not that i don't go with cheaper sites for some pics).

Also since they don't have a deal with store delivery to home is now free for more than 4.00 in prints.

I have been working for three hours tonight and an hour or so last night and I have a whopping 2 pages to show for it :sad2:

I did fill in a ton of information that was missing in my DS baby album (first haircut, favorite book, etc.) so that was important. I just hoped to get more done. I have several pages that just need journaling.

I finished up one more page today. It's not looking good for my goal of 40 pages.

These are pages for a book for my nephew- so I get everything cut out and ready to glue on and then sit down and assemble- everything has been cut, typed, run through the xyron, ect before I ever sit down.

The main way I get so many pages done is 2 fold- I scrap between 1-2 hours a day (and that doesn't count cutting time- I have my 2 cutting machines going quite a bit while I am doing other things and then just go in and pull off things as i get a chance and start cutting the next color. The 2nd thing is that I keep my pages kitted and ready to go - so when I have 5 minutes I can out together a page because I am just cutting down a mat and glueing things on by the time I get to actually scrapping the page- I already have my title ready, my journalling typed and printed, my embellishments choosen- I also do a lot of swaps so I have many ready made elements available all the time.

There is a tutorial listed in the sticky about techniques showing how I kit up pages.

Also I am not a perfectionist about my pages- I am more about the work of making the special embellishments and such and then once I get to the page I just glue everything down however it fits. I rarely follow a page map- generally I just stick it all down.

My roommate was trying to be good and limit his bandwidth consumption, but the levels keep resetting. Our only problem used to be that the wireless would just crap out and we'd no longer be connected to the internet, but now I have to watch out for the constantly spinning wheel of no progress. Yipee!

(scheduled for dec 2010...our first trip home to blt!) I'm alternating between my 06' book and a book for our friends who adopted a little girl in jan. I'm trying to get ONE on the board, but I can't find a background color that looks right!!!! It's not my day.

I had planned to scrap today, after our two soccer games that were canceled due to the weather....we were at the field for two hours in the freezing cold and pouring rain because DH coaches both teams and the first game wasn't actually called off, just no one from the other team showed up; not even their coach. Nice. The second game the other coach came to tell DH they weren't going to play.

I had hoped my pics from Winkflash would come today so I could do the Toy Story LO I've had in my head, but the mail came and they weren't in it.

It's 3:52, that means I have 8 hours and 8 minutes to get something done this month....
